105 Making good on promises nearly a decade later

Viktor gulped and said "It… It worked though… Maybe a little too well…" Yao shouted "You think!?" Her voice was crisp and tender, very pleasing to the ears. Except she was currently looking like a 8-10 year old little girl!

Viktor said quickly "Yao, look at it this way, you can grow up again! Also how cool would it be to confront threats as a little girl? As the Chinese say 'Playing pig to eat the tiger', right?" Yao clenched her little fists and grinded her teeth angrily.

Viktor added "Plus, you were flatter than a board before, now you can grow properly!" Yao lost it and Viktor started running in fear as she chased after him, creating a comical scene…

In the end, Yao stayed in Viktor's house, forcing him to learn magic as punishment.

She even stole a sling ring from Kamar-Taj.

Emma looked at Yao curiously and comforted her after finding out what happened… She sighed and patted Yao's head, saying apologetically "I'm so sorry, Yao…"

Yao pouted and crossed her arms.

Viktor bought her clothes and had to treat her as his daughter for the time being…

Tony came over once and said "You adopted? She's so cute!"

And so, just like that, Viktor had a new classmate…

The only problem was that Tony was actually much more interested than Viktor. He questioned every single thing Yao taught them, providing his own theories. He wanted to create a new suit that merged Technology and Magic!

In Kamar-Taj, the new librarian, Wong, also noticed something strange.

And it wasn't Stephen!

Books were disappearing one after the other before returning magically. Wong was well versed in magic and even HE didn't know what was going on!

He checked the entirety of Kamar-Taj, but didn't find anything.

Alas, they were currently in peril so the search was paused…

Of course it was Yao along with Tony who were stealing books and increasing knowledge. Tony was a gifted mage!

Viktor was too, but he wasn't really interested…

Besides, Tony only wanted to create a new suit. He read almost every book in the library as the time passed.

Yao was very pleased with him, Viktor on the other hand…

She was so angry, she nearly burst a blood vessel… This guy was so lazy, she had half a mind to beat him to death!

This situation continued for an entire year, Tony had many more things to handle and couldn't continue his education, but he was already pretty much done. Yao had nothing left to teach him.

Viktor was still learning… He finished as well, but he didn't particularly care for it so Yao forced him to practice thousands of times a day…

As time slowly passed, Viktor got stronger and stronger.

He didn't ever use it but it was nice to have…

And so, the little spider's plot came and went.

Viktor didn't even know about it as he continued living leisurely.

And finally another year passed.

Viktor was playing with his 5 year old Lilith, hugging and kissing her little face when he heard the news that the school was finally finished building!

Emma was so happy that she cried tears of joy.

She named the school Hellion University of Advanced Education, or just Hellion University for short.

Though the most popular term was Hell-U

Viktor moved out quickly with Tony, making merchandise for the school immediately.

After a while of coaxing, Yao agreed to be a teacher as well, although her appearance didn't change at all!

Viktor and Tony organized a press conference and introduced the school to the world.

Viktor stood at a podium, reading from a script as he smiled "Hellion University is proud to have its roots in New York, however we hope that students from all around the world can participate together harmoniously. I am the Vice-Dean, Director of the Medical Department, as well as teacher of various Medical related classes."

Reporters snapped pictures and Viktor continued "I would also like to express that our University is open to everyone. Meaning that not only fellow humans, but Mutants, and other metahumans, inhumans, etc. are welcome."

He looked up and chuckled, "Even if aliens want to enroll, as long as they pay the tuition, they are welcome."

A reporter stood up and asked "Doctor Gardens, can you represent the attitude of the University?" Viktor laughed and scratched his neck, "My wife is the Headmaster and Dean… So, I hope so. I'd be in trouble if I couldn't, right?"

Some people laughed but others asked "What do you mean by allowing non-humans to enroll?"

Viktor pulled the collar of his suit and cleared his throat, saying "Excuse me, are you deaf? I just said that they were welcome. Do you think Mutants and other beings don't deserve education? Please, don't make a fool of yourself here. There are Aliens coming down from the sky just to eat gas station sushi, is it so hard to accept Mutants?"

He rolled his eyes and said "You, with the curly hair and funny face." the man rubbed his nose wryly and asked "Do you think this decision will have an impact on enrollment?" Viktor nodded and said "Of course. Not everyone likes Mutants, naturally some people won't send their children here…"

He paused before continuing "Err, rather, this is the reason that it is a University, not a daycare. Students that enroll are responsible adults ready to enter society, they should be making their own decisions. If they don't want to enroll because they might be near Mutants then I can only say, don't enroll in my class. Even being a person isn't suitable for you, let alone medicine."

Tony walked over and patted his shoulder, laughing "Alright, thank you Vice-Dean! Hahaha, what a riot. You know the first time I met this guy, he told me to shove it. Can you believe it?"
