62 Golden Milk Cow!

Finally, Viktor got his gift from Emma.

He opened the box and a solid gold chain necklace appeared.

Viktor took out the necklace and a locket hung on the end. He opened the locket and only one side had a picture. It was a picture of Emma!

The other side had a little note.

He took the note out and unfolded it.

It said 'This side is for our future little angels <3'

Viktor's lips trembled and he smiled from the bottom of his heart. The locket wasn't too big but not that small either, it was perfect. He closed it and hung it around his neck, smiling, "I love it."

Emma held his hand and looked at him lovingly. He rubbed her hand with his thumb and laughed "Lunch, anyone?"

Cordelia flew back and said "Finally! I'm starving!" Viktor shut her down immediately, "It's not pizza." Cordelia pouted and said "I didn't say I wanted Pizza!" Viktor rolled his eyes and said "Yeah, right… Go help your sister, I'll clean up here."

Emma grabbed Cordelia and took her off the hoverboard, dragging her to the kitchen. Christian stood up and said "I'll come help!" as he left.

Viktor started cleaning up as Hazel suddenly asked, "Are you troubled, Vik?" Viktor looked at her in confusion, she smiled lightly adding "You seemed a bit down." Viktor laughed carelessly, replying "Why would I be upset?"

Hazel looked around and suddenly thought of something, smiling lightly "Is it because there's only 5 of us here?" Viktor froze and she smiled warmly, asking gently "Is it Emma's decision?"

Viktor frowned lightly and spilled the beans, replying softly "She says it's too dangerous." Hazel thought for a moment and spoke "Towards this…" she shook her head and smiled "I have to agree. Aliens, Superheroes, Bombings…" she pursed her lips and asked "Would you want to bring your child into this?"

Viktor sat on the couch and rubbed his eyes, sighing "No, but where am I involved? I can give them a peaceful life, no? So, although I understand her concerns, I believe that it's not that serious…"

He felt his chest was stuffy and he continued, getting more excited as he said "How long am I supposed to wait?! If it never gets better am I supposed to just sit here and die without anything? In the beginning, I would understand but now it's different! The future is safe? Which future is that?!"

He leaned back and covered his eyes with his palms, venting his frustrations…

Hazel smiled calmly, she sipped a cup of coffee, saying "Have you told her?" Viktor laughed "How can I? She would be upset… I- I don't want to see that." Hazel asked "So you haven't said anything but you hold everything inside?"

Viktor stayed silent and Hazel continued "From my perspective, while I agree with her concerns, I also agree with your opinions… However! Not speaking on them or communicating with each other at all on the issue won't make it simply disappear. This is a very important topic that will affect the rest of your lives, raising a child isn't something you can just want to do."

Hazel laughed softly and added "I have experience in this area. 4 children and only one of them was successful…" thinking of this, she sighed, "At any rate, you must be prepared! The safety of the world, as you said, if it is never safe then it doesn't matter. Although, I believe a better environment should be a priority…"

Hazel smiled slightly saying "New York doesn't seem very safe…" Viktor laughed once and Hazel added "Viktor, if you really want this, you must be prepared to take on an enormous responsibility. More than managing several businesses and saving lives. A child is not only the crystallization of your love, it's also a life!"

She continued with a serious expression "The choices you make will shape the life you made together. And from my experience, wrong steps will have catastrophic disasters. I hope you can understand that Emma is worried about the safety of your child. I also hope that she can hold back on trying to find the so-called 'perfect time', but you must express your concerns."

She smiled and tapped his knee, smiling "You might not like her father, but there's a reason me and my husband have been together for so long. Do you know, he has never had a mistress outside? We've had 4 children together and while most of them were troubled, it never meant that he didn't love them."

Hazel sighed and added "I hope you can understand that no matter whether your child becomes a good person or a world destroying villain, you will love them unconditionally. Even if you don't want to! Being a parent isn't simply about raising the child and teaching them, remember that."

She smiled and stood up, going to the kitchen.

Viktor sat on the couch, staring at the ceiling, thinking about Hazel's words.

He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees, intertwining his fingers and staring into space ahead of him with furrowed brows.

Seems like he had to have a good conversation with Emma tonight…

They all had lunch together and talked for the rest of the day before Christian took Hazel, leaving the house and bringing her back home.

Cordelia went to sleep while Viktor brought Emma downstairs into the training room for a private talk.

He was expecting her to get loud and he didn't want Cordelia to hear this.

Viktor directly gave his opinion on the child topic, telling Emma everything and expressing his concerns, "I just don't think there's ever going to be a safe time, little bear. How long are we going to wait? We're getting older, if we keep waiting and waiting, by the time we're ready it'll be a risk just to even give birth!"

He continued "Not for nothing, but even if the world collapses and we all die, at least we had good memories! You want to wait until Thanos snaps his fingers? Who knows if you or I will still be alive during that time? If I get turned to dust will you find someone else?"

Emma nibbled on her fingers before saying "That's not it…" Viktor was frustrated and shouted "Then what is!? What are you so afraid of!? If it's because you're a Mutant then I'll destroy the government! I'll rule the world so that you can be safe! I just don't understand why you don't want this!"

Emma clenched her fists and shouted "I'm scared! I'm scared you'll suddenly disappear! Turned to dust, taken by an impossibly strong enemy, killed, whatever! Do you think I can raise a kid on my own? Do you know how much I depend on you?! If it weren't for you…"

She teared up and shouted "I would probably be wandering around with Erik trying to destroy humans! I can't lose you, do you understand? I'm scared we'll have a little angel and you'll just poof! Gone!"

She grit her teeth and said "No matter how strong you become, no matter how strong I get, we can't beat the Infinity Gems! I don't want you to become a god, I don't want you to scramble to get stronger as fast as possible, I don't want any of that. I like how we are now! I like coming home to my husband everyday."

She sat down weakly, muttering "I like how you can play around with gravity, float things, and be a doctor without worry. I don't want to see you becoming this super strong person obsessed with power because of me…"

Viktor froze and stared at her before sighing and pulling her into his arms. She hugged him tightly and cried softly. Viktor stroked her head and said "Little bear… I don't care for power, you know that…" Emma said "Yeah but-"

Viktor cut her off, continuing, "I'm not gonna go crazy, nor am I going to obsess myself for strength… I just want a family. You, me, and a bunch of little runts running around. If I get snapped to dust, so be it. At least my dream was reached…"

He pulled her head out and stroked her face, looking into her eyes as he said "You know, you're my most important person. Even if you want me to destroy the world I would try my best. I love you and I want to see you happy. Living like this, holding back because of fear… Are you happy?"

Emma stayed silent but sadness flashed in his eyes, Viktor held her cheeks and smiled "Just trust me, okay? Have I ever let you down, before?" Emma sniffed and shook her head. Viktor tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled gently, "So don't think so much. Are you ready to have a child?"

Emma replied softly, "I think about it every day…" Viktor's heart squeezed and he kissed her forehead, whispering "Then stop thinking about it." Emma bit her lips and finally said "Okay."

Viktor was ecstatic and hugged her tightly, directly teleporting to their bedroom as Emma blushed deeply.

The next day

Tony showed up at the Clinic and asked to get 'this damn thing' out of his chest.

Viktor said 'No problemo.' and the surgery started.

Viktor took the Arc Reactor out of Tony's chest and cured some other hidden illnesses Tony had or would have in the future.

[Congratulations for treating Tony Stark (Iron Man)- 1 lottery ticket]

Needless to say, Viktor used it right away.

7,7,7!

Viktor jumped up right away. He almost kissed Tony's face!

Good guy! You always give me good things!
