Chapter 64: Emperor

Time continued to pass as usual, so much so that in the blink of an eye eight months had passed since then.

Gohan was dealing with the empire, the first thing he did was to know the planets that he had in possession in the width of the universe.

Adding the planets of King Cold and his two sons, he had 350 registered planets, although a good part of them were uninhabited.

Once the entire army was gathered, Gohan communicated what the objectives of the new empire would be: to defend the universe from all danger.

Although of course, some opposed the new leader. Among them Sorbet, Tagoma and others faithful to Frieza. Gohan eliminated them all mercilessly.

Not that he was bad, he knew that if he let them go at the slightest they would resurrect Frieza. And no, he didn't want another Frieza saga, he had enough.

Of course, more than one tried to attack him from behind, either by poisoning the food or the water. He realized that, and eradicated them.

And since then, no one else dared to contradict him. He already warned them on the first day, but with the latter it became quite clear to them.

After that, Gohan ordered to spread the order to all the planets under his control. Now they would dedicate themselves to protecting, not enslaving anyone.

But since he knew that almost all soldiers were weak, he had gravity simulators built, so that all of them could train.

And in just half a year of training, the army average went from 1,000 units to almost 20,000 units in the weakest soldier.

And he obviously taught them about Ki and how to use it. In addition to brute strenght, the soldiers became considerably more productive than before.

He also asked Kikono, the army scientist, to create scouters capable of registering higher battle powers.

And then when they recorded Gohan's power while he was training in a gravity chamber, they were even more afraid of him.

And yes, Gohan was training in his spare time under 300 times increased gravity, he needed to increase his base power fast.

But what occupied his time was the empire, he visited some planets to make sure that everything he ordered was carried out perfectly.

After verifying that the soldiers had become stronger and had better scouters, he distributed them to each planet of the empire.

Each planetary system had a squad with elite warriors numbering over 50,000 units, and they were located on a capital planet.

Each planet was assigned a squad of soldiers. The inhabitants of said planet could apply to be part of that squad if they showed enough power.

And for this, Gohan decided that the planets had at least a dozen gravity machines along with healing machines.

Thanks to that the power level of various planets increased enormously, and Gohan wrote books on Ki to teach them.

Gohan earned the respect of many beings, instead of fear all those planets had respect and admiration for him for his work.

He therefore helped them become strong, and also ordered the construction of modern buildings, and made sure that food was not scarce.

In the empire they also respected him, the uncertainty and fear of the first days disappeared in the last seven months.

With this Gohan sought to increase the mortal level of universe 7, he doubted if that would serve to avoid the Tournament of Power but he would still continue.

He had accomplished many things in the last few months, so with enough effort he would surely accomplish more. He had to keep working.

He thought of reviving all those who had been killed by Frieza, but that would draw Kaioshin's attention; there were many planets.

So for now he wouldn't do it, he didn't have enough power to confront Kaioshin and he still didn't want to get involved with the god.

He also thought of looking for Broly, he would be a great ally. But if he went out of control, his current power would not be enough to counter him.

For that reason he specifically had to become much more powerful than he already was. In this universe the power was the axis of all activity.

Gohan calmly dodged an attack that went straight for his face and lifting his knee he punched the soldier who was attacking him.

"Ugh, that hurt quite a bit Lord" the man muttered struggling and Gohan held out his arm to help him up, "Thank you!"

"I already told you to visualize my Ki to see my movements" Gohan pointed out and the soldier laughed nervously at the boy's reprimand.

They were having a sparring match, Gohan usually did it to measure the power of the soldiers and tell them what they could improve on.

"Excuse him Lord, Kab is a fool who forgets important things" added another soldier but Kab reproached him with a furious look.

"What did you say Iru? Remember that your battle power is only 30,000 units!" Kab taunted with a smile and Iru gritted her teeth.

"Perhaps, but I handle my Ki much better than you" Iru returned the taunt making Kab face him. Gohan stepped between them.

"Kab, remember that the battle power is not everything. If you don't know how to manage your energy, in the end you end up losing the battle against your rival"

"Iru, it's good to have a good control of Ki but it would be much better if your power increased, both of you should train more" Gohan uttered smiling.

"Yes Lord!" they both exclaimed at the same time.

"That's how I like it, now go train"

Kab and Iru quickly nodded at that and walked off to a gravity chamber while arguing their way there.

Gohan smirked, these two were quite funny. He was preparing to train when he suddenly sensed an evil Ki far away.

"It's a great power... I see" Gohan whispered understanding the situation, "Well, it seems that it's time to speed up my arrival on Earth"

The Earth had experienced an extensive period of peace, as fourteen months had passed since Cooler's defeat at the hands of Goku.

Everything had been normal until now. Goku continued training alongside Raditz, who had not yet been able to reach Super Saiyan.

The Z fighters returned to the end of King Kai's planet being much stronger. Meanwhile Piccolo was training in Kami's watchtower.

Vegeta continued to train intensely in the company of Nappa, although they didn't return to Earth. They traveled the universe until now.

"This is so delicious!" declared Goku gobbling up cakes while his friends stood in front of him looking at him in astonishment.

"I'm glad you like it, dear" Bulma's mother spoke with a smile, "Do you want more?"

"Of course I do!"

Everyone was in Capsule Corp enjoying a moment of peace, every once in a while they had to relax and have fun. Not everything would be fighting.

"Do you like these cakes better than the ones I make for you?" Blue-haired Lauch asked sitting next to Raditz, who was sweating nervously.

"O-of course not, d-don't bother me"

"It's good to hear it Raditz" Launch smiled putting his hands together and the others laughed when they saw Raditz's face, who clenched his teeth at him.

"And to think that a couple of years ago you were threatening us with destroying the world" Krillin mocked causing more laughter in the group.

"If you want I can destroy you, bald dwarf!" Raditz answered and Launch tugged on his ear.

"What did I tell you about those bad words?"

"That I shouldn't say them..." Raditz muttered.

Again everyone split at that interaction, Goku mocked his brother now that he had the right opportunity to do so.

"You guys make a good couple" Bulma stated.

"Isn't it? I'm looking forward to the wedding date, we'll have to find you a nice dress!" Chi-Chi spoke looking at Launch.

The woman blushed at that and Raditz nearly choked on his drink, drawing more laughter. His reactions were quite funny.

"I wish the brat was here, I'd go with him away from this place NOW" Raditz grumbled and at the mention of Gohan some felt nostalgic.

Chi-Chi put her hand to her chest, she missed her little son... every night before she went to sleep she prayed that Gohan was well and happy.

"It's almost two years and we still don't know anything about Gohan" Yamcha sighed scratching his head as he looked at the sky, "W-what is that?"

Everyone looked at the sky at those words, and saw a kind of shadow landing on the planet, it looked like a satellite or something similar.

"I don't know but I feel an evil energy in that thing" Goku asserted seriously, "Oh, here comes a ship! I feel a very familiar Ki…"

Suddenly a ship landed in the courtyard of Capsule Corp. And after a few seconds, everyone noticed that it was Vegeta and Nappa.

"I already knew it was you! It looks like you've trained a lot" exclaimed Goku smiling but the satellite from before alarmed him again.

"And you look weaker Kakarot, but we don't have time for that" Vegeta said looking in a certain direction, "You already felt it, didn't you?"

"It's a pretty huge Ki, and somehow that satellite has landed on the planet" Goku answered seriously, "Let's see what it is about"

"Hmpf, you don't have to say it insect"

"What's wrong Goku?" Chi-Chi asked worriedly and Goku smiled to reassure her.

"It's nothing hehe, we'll just go see what that thing was" Goku answered, before looking at his friends, "Hey guys, feel free to come!"

"What do you mean free? Were you thinking of taking me out of the party? You're a fool Kakarot" Raditz got up with a wild smile on his face.

"How confident and proud you've become Raditz, what makes you think you'll be useful?" Vegeta asked in a mocking tone.

"Were you useful on Namek? Haha! My nephew was too generous with you" Raditz sneered back and Vegeta faced him with great annoyance.

"Hey guys, there's no time to waste!" Goku reproached with a frown.

"I'm going too. I want to try my new powers" Yamcha spoke smiling and Krillin nodded getting up, "And this is a great opportunity"

"Perfect, time to go!" Goku exclaimed.

Then they all took flight. With their incredible speed, it only took a few moments to land at their destination.

Apparently the satellite was nothing more than an amorphous metallic mass that seemed to be digging a deep hole on the earth's surface.

"Piccolo, Tien, I guess you guys saw that thing coming too, right?" Goku asked looking at them, but Piccolo didn't say anything.

Yamcha noticed that the Namekian was quite nervous and also had his fists firmly clenched. And then... he saw it.

"W-what the hell?" Yamcha exclaimed.

Goku looked up at the hill where Yamcha had been looking. It didn't take long for him to see the same thing as his friend, and he was amazed.

It was King Cold made of metal!
