45 Chapter 45: Porunga

Moori had accepted Guru's power after rejecting it several times, he knew that this was an emergency, so he accepted.

The dragon balls received the power of their "new Guru", something that Gohan was grateful for with this, everything he would ask for would be more achievable.

After that they left the house and placed the spheres on the ground. Moori was the one who summoned the dragon by reciting the required password.

"Takkaraputo popurunga pupirittoparo!"

'Even if I had gathered the dragon balls I wouldn't have been able to summon the dragon without speaking Namekian' Vegeta clenched his fists in frustration.

The sky darkened as the spheres glowed, then Porunga stepped out of the dragon balls and rose into the sky in front of those present.

"Is that monster the wish-granting dragon?" Vegeta asked looking at the imposing Namekian dragon and the young boy nodded next to him.

'It's so much more amazing when you're so close to him' Gohan thought with a smile, and he still hadn't seen the great Super Shenron.

"Well little one! Our dragon is capable of granting up to three wishes" Moori declared with a smile, and Gohan nodded, he already knew that.

He took a step forward, already having his first wish in mind. Thanks to that wish, he would have the opportunity to ask for another three later...

"Whoever gathered the dragon balls can ask me for his wishes, but only three and that they are within my possibilities" said the dragon.

The last part was the most important of all. He couldn't ask for something that exceeded Porunga's capabilities. It would be impossible.

"My first wish... will be to resurrect Piccolo, Yamcha and those who were killed on Earth by the Saiyans" Gohan spoke looking at Moori.

And meanwhile, on King Kai's planet, Piccolo was meditating under a tree while Yamcha punched and kicked the air.

"Hey, it looks like you're going to be resurrected" King Kai declared turning to the two, who were surprised by this news.

Piccolo crossed his arms with a slight smile, he didn't know how Gohan had managed it so soon but still he was grateful for it.

"That's great! Gohan managed to collect the Dragon Balls!" Yamcha exclaimed, jumping with happiness and his halo vanished.

"Tsk, it's about time" Piccolo whispered going to the deity, "Hey Kai, I'd like to talk to Gohan"

"You still don't respect me!" the Kai yelled in annoyance, "What do you want to tell him?" he asked and Piccolo's hand was placed on his shoulder.

"Hey Gohan! Use the second wish to transport me to Namek! I want to defeat this Frieza" Piccolo stated with a smile.

"What?!" King Kai demanded.

Gohan had heard the wish that Piccolo wanted him to make, he hadn't been in his plans to bring Piccolo to Namek, because it wasn't necessary.

Also, if Piccolo died, so would Kami, and he wouldn't be able to use the Earth dragon balls. On the other hand, he wanted Piccolo to stay there... because he had a plan in mind!

"I'm sorry Piccolo, I won't" Gohan stated seriously, "I'll explain you later, but it's a priority for me that you stay on Earth"

"No Gohan!" Piccolo complained gritting his teeth. He knew him well. He knew that if he wasn't going to do it, it was because Gohan was drawing up some plan.

"Ufff! Haha, luckily Goku's son is quite cautious" King Kai threw himself on the floor sighing, "I wonder what he's going to wish"

Piccolo didn't sit idly by, he took flight and prepared to travel the Snake's way to return to Earth.

"Well King Kai, I'll be leaving too, thank you very much for everything! See you soon!" Yamcha bowed and followed in Piccolo's footsteps.

King Kai watched as the two warriors left his planet. But now he was more curious about what Goku's son would do.

'I hope Piccolo doesn't hate me for that' Gohan thought with a nervous smile, "Well, I think I should ask Porunga for my second wish now"

"You wasted a wish resurrecting that Namekian, amazing" Vegeta commented sarcastically but Gohan completely ignored him.

"What will be the second wish?" Porunga asked expectantly as Gohan murmured thoughtfully, his hand resting on his chin.

Infinite Ki? No, his body couldn't resist it. Divine immortality? Only Super Shenron could give him that. Omniscience? Porunga couldn't grant that.

And besides, he already had the namekian book of legends with him. He could only come up with a wish that could be very beneficial in the future.

"I want to have the ability to survive in space" Gohan declared, wanting to be a bit more individualistic than in the previous times.

He knew that in the original series that was almost always a limitation for the Saiyans. Outside the planet's atmosphere, they couldn't survive.

If Porunga granted him that wish, that limitation would no longer exist for him. Even if Namek explodes like in thecanon... he would survive!

That would be very useful for future battles, because with that, his body wouldn't need oxygen to survive, without doubts it would be quite advantageous.

Moori communicated that wish to Porunga speaking in the Namekian language, and the dragon's eyes shone. And Gohan smiled seeing that.

He felt his body a little differently, he couldn't describe the sensation but it was incredible. He longed to fly over the vast outer space.

"The second wish has already been granted, what will be the third wish?" Porunga inquired with his eyes on Moori, who looked at the boy.

Gohan already had it in mind, but before expressing it he quickly entered the Guru's house. He had to ask him a question.

"Grand Elder Guru, my next wish will be to send you all to Earth... and I would like to ask you for one last favor" Gohan stated looking at the Elder Guru on his throne.

"What is it, little one?" the Guru asked.

"I have several friends on Earth, could you also unlock their potential like you did with me?" Gohan asked expectantly.

"Yes... doing that doesn't affect my health" replied the Guru, "I hope you fight with all your power, the people of Namek trust on you"

Gohan nodded seriously at what the Guru said and walked out of the house. So, he told Moori what would be the third and last wish that he would make.

"Transport the Namekians to Kami's watchtower on Earth... understood" Moori nodded and communicated that wish to Porunga.

"That will be easy" replied the dragon.

"Here our paths separate Son Gohan, thank you for everything you have done for us" thanked the old Moori humbly.

"No, I'm the one to say thanks" Gohan pointed out with a smile, "I hope we'll see each other soon, enjoy your stay on Earth!"

Moori nodded with a smile and suddenly vanished from the place... Followed by Dende and the other Namekians that were on the planet.

"Until next time!" Porunga said goodbye and left Namek as well. So, only there were Gohan, Vegeta and of course, Frieza and his soldiers.

"Insect! You've wasted two wishes that could have helped us defeat Frieza" Vegeta scolded him, pointing an index finger at him.

"Maybe... and that's why I'll take the opportunity to train" Gohan said taking a capsule out of his pocket and tossing it away, thus revealing the gravity machine.

"I see, so you traveled on that ship" Vegeta commented crossing his arms and was surprised to see Gohan walking in there, "W-where are you going?"

"Inside this machine I can increase the gravity" Gohan replied leaving Vegeta perplexed, "My father and Uncle Raditz travel training like this…"

'I see! That's why his power increased so much' Vegeta thought looking at the machine, "Brat! Let me train on that machine! We don't have time!"

"Let's train, there's still time until the Ginyu forces come" Gohan spoke entering into the ship, "I warn you it won't be easy"

Vegeta had already entered. He was looking around the ship, when suddenly his whole body fell to the floor feeling heavy.

"What the hell did you do?!" the saiyan demanded.

"The current gravity is fifty times greater than Earth's" Gohan stated, jumping up and down, "Get up Vegeta! We don't have time!"

Vegeta cursed him under his breath and struggled to get up. He tried to hit Gohan but it was quite slow, and thus failed.

On the other hand, King Kai was watching how these two trained in the gravity machine. Gohan's wishes were pretty smart.

"Surviving in space is beneficial, and if the Namekians are on Earth they won't be harmed by the battle" King Kai uttered.

Suddenly his antennae perked up. King Kai turned around and his body swayed as he realized a powerful threat headed for Earth.

"W-why? This is so bad!" King Kai exclaimed without understanding anything of what was happening, "Earth... is going to be destroyed!"

Then, he remembered Gohan's request to the Guru, that was awesome! But despite that, he didn't think that would be enough...

"Not even Piccolo, who is on his way to Earth, would be a match" King Kai declared without encouragement, "I must warn the Kami of that place without wasting time"

Meanwhile, Earth had had a few quiet days. The Z Fighters climbed onto Kami's watchtower to continue their training.

Great was their surprise to see that Kami-sama had returned to life. Mister Popo was overjoyed to have the old god back.

"That means Gohan managed to collect the dragon balls!" Krillin exclaimed with a smile, "There's no doubt he is Goku's son, fantastic!"

"Then they should be back soon, everything went pretty well" Tienshinhan intervened and Chiaotzu nodded when he heard him, "Right Kami-sama?"

Kami was serious. He knew everything that had happened on Namek, in the Other World he kept abreast of the current situation on that planet.

"No, in Namek there is an enemy much more powerful than the Saiyans" declared Kami leaving them dumbfounded by such words.

"That's impossible! And who is that enemy?" Tienshinhan inquired, clenching his fists. He wasn't believed that such a person existed.

"A monster called Frieza, in fact the Saiyans were part of his army" Kami explained seriously, "He is... very powerful"

"Damn! And what happened? Has Gohan confronted him?" Krillin asked wanting to know.

"Not yet, it seems that he is waiting for help from Goku and his brother" Kami said.

"Thank goodness! I'm sure the three of them will be able to beat that Frieza guy" Krillin exclaimed, sighing with relief, "What about Vegeta and the other saiyan?"

"Vegeta was with Gohan... when they summoned the dragon balls" the namekian guardian replied leaving everyone speechless.

"What?!"

But suddenly, a group of beings looking identical to Kami appeared out of nowhere. Krillin shuddered at the sudden appearance.

"It's a crowd of Piccolo and Kami-sama" Krillin muttered next to Tienshinhan, who was trying to understand what was happening.

Moori was in front of them, both he and the other Namekians looked somewhat surprised seeing Kami's watchtower.

"What are you looking for in Kami-sama's watchtower?" Mister Popo asked, standing in front of his god, who was quite thoughtful.

'So I am one of them too' Kami-sama inquired. His distant past remained an indecipherable mystery for him.

"We are sorry for the intrusion, a small earthling called Son Gohan asked our dragon balls to transport us to this place" Moori commented looking Kami.

"Yes, it seems that Gohan intends to fight soon and he wanted to get you all to safety" Kami added looking at Moori, who nodded after hearing him.

"So you are Kattatsu's son who created the Earth dragon balls" the Guru spoke causing Kami to open his eyes, "Come here..."

Everyone then opened the way for Kami to walk towards the Guru. And once he arrived, the Elder Guru put a hand on Kami's head.

"I see, you went through a lot of difficulties... your other half has become quite powerful" declared the Guru removing his hand.

"Yes, although I inherited a great part of the abilities, he has become strong over recent times" Kami pronounced.

"If you two were to unite again like in the beginning, you would become a formidable warrior" added the Guru, "Where is your other half?"

"He is..." Kami was going to answer Guru's words but suddenly he felt a presence, so he disappeared from there in front of everyone's eyes.

"Where do you think he went?" Krillin asked confused, "Although that seemed curious to me, if Piccolo and Kami-sama joined again..."

"You must be the friends the little earthling mentioned, right?" the Guru uttered making Krillin's body jerk.

"What did Gohan say about us, revered old man?" Tienshinhan intervened, laying his eyes on the Grand Elder Guru.

"He asked me to awaken your hiden powers" replied the Guru, "Please... come closer"

"Y-you first" Krillin urged Tienshinhan, who walked towards the Guru curiously, and stopped right next to him. And then, Guru extended his hand.

Tienshinhan felt the Guru's hand on his head and suddenly a feeling of power invaded his body... this was impressive!

"W-what is h-happening? M-my power has increased" Tienshinhan looked at his hands not believing what had happened right now.

"Woah! It's amazing Tien!" Chiaotzu yelled.

"He really awakened Tienshinhan's power" Krillin was surprised by what he had seen, and he was the next to take a step towards the Namekian Guru.

Krillin's power also rose to inordinate levels and the same with Chiaotzu. They couldn't believe how powerful they had become.

"Grand Guru, the best thing for you would be to rest, you had been working hard recently" Nail recommended and the Guru put a hand on his head.

"I should have done this a long time ago, you also have a great power inside you" declared the Guru and Nail was stunned.

"B-but Guru…" Nail muttered.

A white aura began to surround his body and both Krillin and Tienshinhan turned towards him. They had never felt such an extraordinary Ki!

"Incredible... so this is the power that a Namekian can reach" Kami spoke after having returned to Earth with Piccolo and Yamcha.
