Chapter 13: meeting Guy and Velzard x Resolve

Riku POV

Ice continent

I exited the door to see a hallway that looks like its made of ice, well when you consider who lives here you could say it's to be expected. As we continue down the hall I was grateful for having my [temperature fluctuation resistance] so the cold won't get to me right away. When we get close to a large door I sense three figures on the other side; I'm very sure that they are Guy Crimson, velzard and Misery.

SOD:'Be careful, your about to be face to face with Rouge the primorial red.'

Me:'I know, I am not strong enough or crazy enough to pick a fight with the strongest demon lord.'

Rain:"Lord Guy Crimson, I have brought you someone who knows about the individuals we sensed and they also happen to be someone you wanted to meet."

Guy:"Oh? you both may enter."

After hearing Guy Crimsons voice the door opened slowly and we both walked in to see a red haired hansome man sitting on a throne. I also see a maid with green hair on the left side of the room; most likely Misery. I lastely see a girl with white hair and is slightly shorter then Guy who gives off a dragonic vibe leaning on the throne.

Me:'So thats Guy Crimson and Velzard huh.' I thought looking at the two in front of me.

Guy:"Rain said that you were someone that I wanted to meet but I can sense that you have an unusual chosen heros egg. Who might you be?"

Me:"Allow me to introduce myself." I said before bowing and continuing "My name is Riku Kategiri, I'm sure you've heard a little about me from demon lord Ramiris. When I recieved my blessing from the spirit of dawn, I chose to become the hero of dawn."

Guy:"Oh? I've never heard of a spirit of dawn before."

I lifted my head before replying.

Me:"I called it that because the spirit possesed the elements of both light and darkness. I felt the name was too long so I shortened it."

Guy:"I see, but why not go for the spirit of twilight or hero of twilight?"

Me:"I just think that the spirit of dawn and hero of dawn have a better ring to it. don't you think, lord of darkness Guy Crimson?"

I said the last part while emphasing his title "lord of darkness" to see what kind of reaction I could get from the demon lord himself. It seems that he was amused by what I said when he started to chuckle.

Guy:"Kukukuku, hahahahahahahaha. That was amusing, Riku Kategiri. It feels like we are going to get along swimmingly."

Me:"Even though I am a chosen hero egg while you are a true demon lord?"

Guy:"Do you have a problem with that?" He asked sounding offended but knowing his personallity from the anime and novel, he's probably acting.

Me:"Nope, just makeing sure. I've seen works of fiction where the hero befriends the demon lord, so the concept is not that strange to me."

Guy:"I see, It's nice to know you have an open mind."

I looked at Velzard noticing that she hasn't said a word since I arrived and was watching me. Is she trying to assess my strength or trying to figure out my intentions for coming here? It seems like Guy also notice she and I looking at each other.

Guy:"So Riku, Rain said you know about the recent otherworlders we sensed earlier today."

Riku:"Yes I do and I can explain if you'll allow me to demon lord Guy."

Guy:"I give you permision to call me Guy."

Riku:"Okay Guy this is what happened. I was on my way to the ogre village in the great forest of jura when I sensed 5 individuals appear in the same spot I was when I came to this world. When I saw them I realized that they were quincies from my previous world. It seemed like they were looking for me, so to keep them from potentially ripping towns apart looking for me I took them to a separate dimension I created using [space magic] and explained to them about this world as I know it and they've become my allies."

Guy:"I see, so they came from your previous world to our on their own?"

Riku:"I wouldn't go that far. They are also part of a group of quincies called the Wandedreich, it translates into the {hidden empire}. They are led by a man known as Yhwach; he is known as the {Quincy king}, {the Quincy progenitor} and {the father of the Quincies}."

I then go to explain the history of my previous world; including how the soul king created the soul society, hueco mundo and the world of the living, how hollows came to be, the fight between the soul reapers and quincies 1000 years ago, the quincy extermination from 200 years ago and the fact that Yhwach is still recovering his strength from the battle 100 years ago.

Guy was very interested in hearing the story of my world, Velzard seemed interested too but seems to still be wary of me.

Guy:"So Yhwach survived the battle with serious injuries and has been recovering for the past 1000 years, is that right?"

Me:"Yes thats right. There is a song about it, it goes; The confined Quincy king regains his pulse after 900 years, his mind after 90 years, his strength after 9 years and the world in 9 days. He would regain his strength by robbing quincies he deemed {impure} of their powers and making those powers his own."

Guy:"What do you mean by {impure}?"

Me:"There are two types of quincies; one is known as echt quincy or pure-blood, the other is known as Gemischt quincies or mixed-blood. The mixed-blood were often called {impure}. One of those mixed-bloods that lost their powers was my frial mother."

Velzard:"Your mother?" she asked with a look of shock.

Me:"Yes, after she lost her powers my mother fell ill and died. My little brother Uryu and I were sad about her death but our father didn't seem to care. Our father hates being a quincy because {there's no profit in it}. At the time the only decent relative he had was our grandfather who taught us how to use our powers and what it means to be a quincy. He was a good man."

Velzard:"Was a good man?"

Me:"Yes he was killed by hollows. Since I don't consider my father a family member when he hates quincies. I consider my brother my only family."

Velzard:"I'm sorry for your lose."

Me:"Thanks."

She probably was able to empathize with me since she has siblings too, she must about Velgryn and Veldora.

Guy:"Riku, you said that Yhwach can give power to others. Are there other quincies with that ability?"

Me:"That ability is very rare, as far as I know there are only 3 quincies with that ability. the first is Yhwach, the second is his right hand man Jugram Haschwalth, and the third is me."

Guy:"Oh? So you have that power too?" He said with an interested look before continuing.

Me:"Yes, that power manifested as a unique skill called [Soul distribution] when I was transported into this skill last month. As I'm sure you can see what my unique skills considering how strong you are."

Guy:"You continue to impress me that you were able to notice that. Would you like to sleep with me?"

Me:"No thanks."

Guy:"Such a quick response. Surely your aware that I can change genders if I wanted to."

Me:"I'm aware but still I have to refuse."

Guy:"What a shame. I've been rejected." he said sounding dramatic but I can tell its fake.

Me:"There's more information on my world that I havent told you but it would take to long to tell you so I would like to transfter that info into your brains if you don't mind."

Guy:"How would you do that? with [thought communication]?"

M:"Close but no."

After I answered his question I opened the screen from my [archive] to look for the information on my world that I would transfer to them. The were shocked to se a screen suddenly appear while i was looking for the right info.

Rain:"Excuse me, what is that?" she asked while pointing

Me:"This is one of my unique skills [archive], It lets me record my knowledge as data and lets me transfer that knowledge as I wish. I can even display my memories as video to watch. I was also able to use this skill as a base to create [archive magic]."

Guy:"Such a facinating skill and magic. Were you perhaps a reincarnated into your previous world before coming to this one?"

Me:"Why would that matter?" I asked while maintaining my poker face.

Guy:"Just curious."

During that conversation I was able to find the information I want to transfer to them. I also decided to add the knowledge of [archive magic] so they can play with it, maybe it could become like an instant message kind of thing.

Using magic like a wireless network for those who use [archive magic] to communicate to each other. But I can work on that later, I also added [thought projection magic].

Me:"Alright I've set up the information I want to transfer to you guys. It might feel wierd at first but it wears off after a minute or so."

I hit the transfer button to send the info to the 3 demons and the dragon causing loarding bars to appear about their heads. It took about 4 minutes for the loading bars to fill up and the transfer was complete.

Velzard:"I can see why you said it might feel wierd at first."

Guy:"Yes and the knowledge of your world is facinationg and you gave us knowledge of that [archive magic] you talked about. What is this [thought projection]?"

Misery:" I am curious about it too."

I figured that they would ask about [thought projection magic] Ill explain and give a demonstration. Since they are good at magic, I'm very sure they can pick it up fast.

Me:"It is a magic I created using [body double] and [thought communication] as a base for it. It creates a projection that you can use to communicate with someone from far away."

Thought projection me:"It essentially creates a double without a body." They turn to the thought projection that I created behind Velzard and Guy before continuing. " so if something happens to the thought projection, it won't affect your real body and soul."

They had a look of interest when they both look at the me and the thought projection.

Guy:"Interesting, I barely sensed any magic before this thought projection appeared." he said before trying to touch the projection causing his hand to go through before continuing."And you realy can't touch them."

Thought projection me:"Since your not creating another body, it doesn't use a lot of magicules."

Me:"However, just as you can't hurt the thought projection, the thought projection cant hurt you since it has no body and can't cast magic." I said while canceling my thought projection.

Velzard:"It it quite the interesting magic. Do you intend to use the magical you created against the soul dealers from your previous world?"

Me:"No, I'm going to use them against Yhwach. He recruited me into the wandenreich as a temporary member but I'm buying my time and gaining strength until I can defeat him."

They all were shocked to hear that I said that I was going to use my against the king of the quincies.

Velzard:"Is that because he killed your mother?"

It's natural to ask that since I told them about my family and my plan to defeat Yhwach.

Me:"I would be lying if I said that wasn't part of the reason. I know Yhwachs personality, he doesn't care about the quincies. He will sacrifice every single quincy to achieve his goal of killing the soul king. If he continues leading the quincies they'll have no future because he doesn't learn from our peoples history. And theres an old saying "those who do not lean from history are doomed to repeat it." I want to create a place in this world where the quincies can have a future where they can be happy."

Guy:"That is quite the lofty goal. But thats not an easy to achieve."

Me:"Yhwach said the same thing, almost to the word. so I will told you the same thing I told him." I said with a serious face and tone before continuing. "I know its not an easy thing to achieve but I am not going to give up."

Guy:"Let's see if you can back it up." he said as his face turned serious.

Me:"!!"

I can tell he's releasing his [demon lord pressence]; it feels like he's trying to crush me, my knees start to bend from the pressure. He must be trying to test my resolve to achieve my goal of saving the quincies. I meant what I said to both Yhwach and Guy, I am not going to give up on my goal.

When facing this kind of pressure one would normally be afraid, I then hear the Spirit of Dawns voice.

SOD:'Riku listen to me. Abandon your fear. Now turn and face him. Don't give an inch. Now ichigo. Advance! Never stop! If you retreat, you will age. Be afraid, and you'll die. Now are going to move forward or back?'

He is right, if I am going to achieve my goal; I will not retreat, I won't let fear control me, I will move forward! For the sake of the quincies I will move forward!

Guy:"and what if there's someone who will stop at nothing to hurt you, including using your {friends} as hostages to keep you from running away?"

Me:"Then I won't run, If I run away and my friends get hurt or killed as a result I would never forgive myself."

Guy:"Is that how you really feel?"

Me:"Yes it is. I have felt that way since before coming to this world. I know it will be difficult but I won't let that stop me." I said with my most serious face while releasing all the [haki] I could.

Then a smile crept up on his face; seems like he was satisfied with my response both verbal and physical.

Guy:"Good answer, not a lot of people have that kind of resolve to acheive their goal." He said as he stopped releasing his [demon lord pressense] and came to me with his hand out and continued. "I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship."

Me:"I think so too." I said as I took his hand and shook it.

That was when I became friends with Guy Crimson the strongest demon lord and unlocked another unique skill.
