chapter 10.5: announcement to sternritters
third POV
Silbern throne room.
After cutting off comunication with Riku, Yhwach handed the device back to Haschwalth. He was wondering about his emperors decision to put Riku in charge of operations in the cardinal world so he deecided to ask.
Haschwalth:"Your majesty, is it truly a good idea to put Riku Kategiri in charge of operations in that world?"
Yhwach:"Yes, it makes sense. He has been in that world for a month, from my conversation with him I can tell that he did not spend that month doing nothing. Especially after he told me what his goal is."
Haschwalth:"What is his goal your majesty?"
Yhwach:"He told me his goal is to become strong eenough so that he can protect the quincies and keep them from suffering we've had to endure during the last thousand years. He is aware that its a difficult goal but he has no intention of giving up."
Haschwalth was surprised when he heard about Rikus goal to gain enough strength to help the quincies. He wouldn't doubt the words of his emperor but there is a chance that Riku could have been lying. However Haschwalt has no way to prove if Riku was actually lying so for now he has to give Riku the benefit of the doubt.
Haschwalth:"Your majesty, if you don't mind me asking, Did he say what he was going to do to help us and if there was a way to return to the Wandenreich?"
Yhwach:"Yes he did. He said he was going to train Bambietta and her team to make them stronger and that he was going to recruit people from that world to join our forces."
Haschwalth:"Strengthening our forces and recruiting capable individuals would be very beneficial to us."
Yhwach:"Indeed, as for the the way to return to our world. he mentioned that during his time in that world he obtained the ability to manipulate space."
Haschwalths eyes widened with shock hearing that Riku could control space; 'If he can truly control space then that already makes him strong enough to defeat seated officers of the 13 court guard squads' he thought. But after having that thought, Yhwach continued.
Yhwach:"But he said that his strength and control over space was still not strong enough to travel between that world and this world."
Haschwalth:"I see, maybe if his control over space was strong enough he could possibly get us into the Royal Palace."
Yhwach:"Yes Haschwalt, I had the exact same thought when I heard of that. However he said that it would take time for his strength to reach that level; and that is on top of training bambiettas team and recruiting people from that world to join our side."
He immediately understood what Yhwach was saying, after all it took his emperor 999 years and he still hasn't recovered all the strength he lost 1000 years ago. Between training himself, bambies team and finding strong poeple to join the quincies it would take a considerable amount of time.
Yhwach:"Call all the sternritters Haschwalth. I am going to announce the recruitment of Riku Kategiri and his role in our plans."
Haschwalth:"Understood your majesty." after recieving his order he went to gather the sternritters.

Silburn auditorium
All the sternritters (with the exception of Bambie's team) were gathered to hear what their emperor was going to tell them. Some have been wondering about the mission Bambie's team were on, while some were curious about what the wandenreichs next move is.
Even the Schutzstaffel were on the stage wondering whats going on. Yhwach stepped forward to begin the assembly.
Haschwalth:"Raise your crosses and solut his majesty, Yhwach!!" after saying that all quincies in the hall stood at attention and soluted their emperor.
Yhwach:"Sternritters, I am sure you've been wondering about what is happening lately. Well I have a couple of announcements to make."
Everyone there looked at their emperor ready to listen before he continued.
Yhwach:"Exactly one month ago, A quincy from the world of the living known as Riku Kategiri had suddenly vanished completely."
Everone there was shock to hear that a living quincy vanished and started to murmur to eachother, he puts his hand up to silence them before continuing.
Yhwach:"But thanks to the efforts of Haschwalth, we were able to find out that he wasn't in the soul society or hueco mundo. Instead, he was somehow transported to a world unlike our own. A world that could be described as one you would find in books with the fantasy genre. We were able to send Bambiettas team to that world to locate Riku Kate girl in order to recruit him into the wandenreich and have succeeded in recruiting."
The crowd had a mixture of emotions from hearing that; jealousy, fear, curiosity, anger and other such emotions. But they don't know if that world was dangerous that world is. Some of them may have reservations about interacting with races that are not well like in fiction such as orcs, goblins, demons, dragons and other such beings.
Yhwach:"I have spoken with Riku Kate girl and hereby name him head of our operations in that other world since he was able to survive in that world for an entire month. He is currently training not only his power but the power of Bambiettas team as well. Thanks to him, we may be able to utilize the resources of that world to strengthen ourselves."
After hearing that, members of the sternritters had their own thoughts about what they were hearing.
Bazz-b:'I can understand the reasoning, but I'm not a fan of some newbie in such an important position.' sternritter "H" thought with frustration.
Gerard Valkyrie:'I wonder how strong this guy is.' Sternritter "M" thought curiously.
Quilge Opie:'Is this Riku trully loyal to his majesty?' Sternritter "J" thought with Skepticism.
Askin Nakk Le Vaar:'Hope this arrangement doesn't end up being fatal to us.' thought Sternritter "D"
Mask:'Is he trying to replace me as the superstar!?' Sternritter "S" thought with worry, concern and frustration.
Most of their thoughts were negative since they don't know anything about Riku other then wat Ywhach told them.
Yhwach:"If you desire to grow stronger and learn more about that world you can use the recently created gate as long as you request permission from either myself or Haschwalth. But it is only fair to warn you that there is No method to return from there yet and riku is trying to developed a method of return."
What Haschwalth already thought is that some of the sternritters might be jealous of Riku for obtaining such a high position despite recent!y joining. Some may feel threatened by the trust that Yhwach is putting in Riku. Some might be worried that Riku may be trying to deceive his majesty to further his own agenda.
The only way to find out would be to go to the cardinal world and see for themselves if he is truly an ally or not. However, would they be willing to go to a world that could posssibly be moree dangerous then the one they currently in?
Yhwach:"You are all dismissed." he said as he turned and left the stage.
Meanwhile Haschwalt took notice of the sternritters reactions at the announcement and was concerned about what they might do.

10 minutes later
throne room
Yhwach and Haschwalth are alone in the throne room after the assembly, Haschwalt was worried about the ramifications of this announcement.
Haschwalth:"Your majesty, I am a bit concerned about what the sternritters would do if they choose to go to that world. What if they try to kill Riku Kategiri out of jealousy, greed or some other reason."
Yhwach:"I can understand your concerns Haschwalth, but I think this is also an opportunity to test not only his strength but our Sternritters as well. Riku Kategiri could be a potential candidate as my successor; if he was can't handle these types of problems himself then he is not worth considering. And if they get killed then they weren't strong enough and were useless to us."
After hearing the words of his emperor, Haschwalth began to to see what his overall plan was for the announcement. He was testing not only riku but the other sternritters; if Riku kills the sternritter it proves his strength and Yhwach regain his strength faster but if Riku is killed then Yhwach will gain his power and knowledge.
Haschwalth:'So if Riku fights against the sternritters, we stand to benefit no matter who wins. It might actually work if things go as his majesty predict.' he thought before replying."I understand your majesty, thanks for alleviating my concerns."
Yhwach:"Your welcome Haschwalth. Now we just have to see what happens."
But now the question is; will Yhwach's plan work or will things not go as he expected?
