After agreeing to team up with the Howling commandos, Tom handed over the list of remaining Hydra bases he stole from Zola's mind.

"Where did you get these locations?" Peggy asks as she reads over the shortlist.

Captain America and the Howling Commandos have been taking out Hydra bases for while, so barely 4 bases remain based on Zola's knowledge.

"I have my ways." Tom says avoiding the question.

It's best not to tell people that he could easily read their minds. They would definitely become paranoid if they knew.

"Alright, but do we know which base Grindelwald and Schmidt are located?" Steve asks as he takes the list and looks it over.

"The first one on the list is where they are building their weapon to win the war, so that's probably where they are at the moment." Tom says, dropping a big piece of information.

"What weapon? This is the first we're hearing of this." Peggy says in alarm.

"Did Zola not tell you guys? He is the one that created it after all. I thought he would squeal like a pig the second things got rough." Tom asks as he remembers the movie.

Zola was supposed to snitch on Hydra and reveal the existence of the Valkyrie.

"No, he didn't." Peggy says as a scowl appears on her face. "When he was being questioned, someone got in and attacked Zola and Col. Phillips. Phillips has been frozen in place somehow and we're not sure how to fix him. Zola on the other hand is in a deep coma. He hasn't woken and the doctors say it doesn't look like he will anytime soon."

Steve was alarmed at the situation. Phillips May have been a d*ck to him in the beginning, but he would never wish something bad on the man.

"You said he was frozen? Like stuck in place or really cold?" Tom asks as it sounds like he's been stupefied.

"Stuck in place, why?" Peggys asks, seeing that Tom may know what happened.

"It sounds like he was Stupefied. It's a magic spell that I can reverse fairly easily. Grindelwald or one of his men must have paid them a visit. Where is Phillips now?" Tom asks.

"St Thomas' Hospital. It's not far from here. I can give you a lift." Peggy answers quickly, hoping to wake up Phillips and find out what happened.

"No thanks, I know where it is. I'll send someone to wake him up now." Tom says as he commands one of his followers to get it done through the mark. "I just sent a message to a subordinate of mine to get it done. He's there now."

Tom also ordered that the Colonel's mind be searched for what happened.

"Uhh, how do you..." Steve was going to ask how he could contact someone so easily.

"Magic." Tom says simply before Steve could finish his question.

"Oh." Steve says with a dumb look on his face.

"Can we please get back to Hydra's secret weapon to win the war please?" Peggy asks impatiently.

"Yes, we can..." Tom went on to explain about the Valkyrie and the plan to bomb every major city.

"Alright, so we should go straight for the main base then. We can't allow that plane to take off. If it does and we aren't ready, millions of people will die." Steve says as he stood up and started pacing.

"Yes, I agree. We'll give the locations of the other bases to high command. They can assault the other bases, while we attack the main base, taking out Grindelwald and Schmidt, and make sure that plane never leaves the ground." Peggy explains and everyone seems to agree.

"Sounds good to me. I have to go and work on something for the big fight." Tom says as he needs to perfect project Gilgamesh. "When you know the date and time we'll be attacking the base, call my name and I'll come to get the details. As long as the place isn't warded against it, I can get us in through a portal."

"Sure, we should go and check on the colonel anyway." Steve says and Tom opens a portal to Kamar-Taj.

"See you soon." Tom says as he steps through the portal.

—————————————————————————

When Tom arrived at Kamar-Taj, he needed to get straight to work.

Many ideas were stored away about how to complete project Gilgamesh. One of them was what Tom called the rocket theory.

This theory was fairly simple. Tom wants to somehow propel his weapons forward by creating a small thruster made from eldritch energy at the bottom of a sword or whatever weapon he summons. Though he has no idea how to do this and it's a bit complicated, so Tom will scrap that idea for another time.

The next idea is to somehow work the wire attached to the weapons like the puppet technique from Naruto. They seemed to be able to control the wires connected to the puppets with their chakra, so why shouldn't Tom be able to do the same with his magic?

Tom gave it a shot and summoned a small knife attached to a wire. He placed the knife on the ground and stepped back a few meters.

With the golden wire in hand, Tom pushed his magic into it and tried to control it. Slowly the golden wire made of eldritch energy trembles. Seeing that he wasn't getting much of a result, Tom pushed more power into the wire.

Suddenly the wire tenses and the knife is pulled from the ground and flung up to the ceiling. As the knife embeds itself into the ceiling, the wire falls apart causing the knife to disappear along with it.

'It worked!' Tom thought as he celebrated his small victory.

The amount of control needed to completely control the wire doesn't seem too far off. What's worrying is the wire falling apart. Tom needs to find a way to strengthen the wire, so it doesn't fall apart so easily. After that, It's just about practice.

'Hopefully, I have enough time to prepare.'
