Over and over, time-reversed and the Ancient One repeated the same line like clockwork.

"Dormammu, I've come to bargain!"

Each time she would say it, Dormammu would simply ignore her and the war between both sides would start yet again.

Thankfully, when the time reverses, the portal to the dark dimension shrinks as well. If it didn't then Tom and the Ancient One would have to worry about an ever-expanding portal that could devour the earth.

During the many battles that have taken place, Tom and Thor have really been mastering their respective elements.

Although almost no time at all had passed due to the Ancient One's use of the time stone, for everyone fighting Dormammu and his army of Mindless Ones, this battle has already lasted over a year.

Truthfully, it could have been ten years or more for all they knew, as it's hard to tell the time when it keeps reversing like this.

It didn't take Loki long to realize the full workings of the Ancient One's plan and swiftly use it to his advantage as his brother has been doing from the start.

Loki started focusing on the forms of magic that he doesn't have perfect control and mastery over.

Soon, time passed and the almost immortal army defending the Earth became stronger and more skilled with every reset.

Masters, Wizards, and Witches all fought an endless war in which they would respawn as time reset.

It was like a dream come true for anyone that wanted to hone the skills of their subordinates.

Fighting in a real war, yet they get an endless amount of second chances. As if they were all playing a video game and could replay again at their last saved location.

Tom was loving every second of it and regretted not bringing his less experienced followers to hone their skills as well.

'Druella is really missing out, huh...' Tom thought with a shake of his head as he slew about twenty Mindless Ones with a giant tornado filled with blades of wind.

Just as Tom turned the Mindless Ones before him into minced meat, Thor dashed past him covered in lightning towards a large group of Mindless Ones.

As he came upon the group, Thor condensed lightning into his fist and sent a heavy right hook to the lead Mindless Ones face, but his attack didn't stop there.

No, as the punch hit the Mindless Ones face, its head blew up and the lightning kept moving forward towards the other enemies in the area.

Just from a single punch, Thor was able to send multiple bolts of lightning out that just kept moving from one opponent to the next similar to chain lightning.

When Thor's attack calmed down and the lightning disappeared, multiple Loki's appeared behind the remaining few enemies and started firing off element-type spells straight at their backs.

Suddenly, time-reversed again as the Ancient One was once again killed by an enraged Dormammu.

"Dormammu, I've come to bargain!" The Ancient One says for the millionth time.

"You cannot do this forever!" Dormammu states as he commands his army to move forward and starts his assault on the Ancient One once again.

"Actually, I can. This is how things will be until you decide to accept my bargain. You and your army along with me and mine, trapped in this moment, endlessly." The Ancient One explains as she stands at the head of her army, unfazed by the passage of time.

"Then you all will spend an eternity dying!" Dormammu says angrily as he shoots yet another beam of energy out of his mouth that engulfs and kills the Ancient One and a large portion of Earth's forces instantly.

Time rewinds again as it always does and the Ancient along with those that died appeared as if nothing happened.

"Yes, but everyone on Earth will live. I think that's a good trade-off." She says as she turns to the army at her back. "I can last an eternity, how about everyone else?!"

Hearing their leaders encouraging words, the soldiers of earth shout affirmatively and stare down Dormammus army without a hint of fear on their faces.

Dormammus face contorted in anger as he using all of his power to form a giant wave of purple energy to wipe out the entire army of earth all at once, but sadly for him, time-reversed and they all appeared exactly where they stood earlier without a single scratch.

"Dormammu, I've come to..." The Ancient One says, but before she could finish, another wave destroyed her and the army behind her.

*Rewind*

"Dormammu, I've come to bargain!"

*Rewind*

"Dormammu, I've come to..."

*Rewind*

"Dormammu, I've come..."

*Rewind*

"Dormammu, I've..."

*Rewind*

"Dormammu..."

*Rewind*

"..."

Over and over, Dormammu lost his temper and stopped relying on his army of Mindless Ones altogether.

It got to a point where he would simply shoot wave after wave of energy at Earth's army, slaughtering them before they had a chance to even breathe.

After who knows how long or how many deaths, Dormammu didn't attack and simply watched the Army of Earth reform as time rewinds.

"Dormammu, I've come to bargain!" She says for the billionth time.

"You will never win." Dormammu says furiously.

"No…But I can lose...again, and again, and again, and again, until the end of time." The Ancient One says. "Wouldn't that make you my prisoner?"
