Later that night after everyone was settled into their rooms in Kamar-Taj, a meeting was being held between every Master with Tom at the lead.

Due to this being a more high-level meeting, Tom didn't bring Druella along with him.

She wasn't even a student of Kamar-Taj yet, so her presence could cause problems with the more strict Masters.

Of course, Druella will become the Ancient One's personal discipline once she graduates, so this won't be a problem for long.

As a disciple of the Sorceress Supreme, Druella would have no problem attending meetings like this. Tom would know as he was her most recent disciple.

When every Master arrived, Tom searched the crowed for a moment.

"Look closely at the people around you and tell me if anyone is missing. I've been living in Kamar-Taj for a while now, but I haven't met every Master yet." Tom says and everyone starts scanning the crowd, looking for any missing Masters.

After waiting a short while, one of the Master spoke up.

"Lestrad and his friends aren't here." She says, happy to not have that depraved bunch around.

As she says this, the rest of the Masters search around again, nodding in agreement to her words.

"Hmm, this could mean they've been compromised." Tom says, causing the crowd to widen their eyes in realization.

Looking around the courtyard once again, everyone in attendance starts looking for any other missing people.

"As all of you should know already, the only possible way for Dormammu to breach earth's protection is if someone opens a passage for him. I've brought all of us together, so we can watch for any possible corruption within our ranks, and see who didn't show up. Do we have any other missing Masters?" Tom explains and asks once more.

After yet another long moment of eying one another, every master shakes their head.

"No, the only ones missing are Lestrad and his group, but they're always late to meetings, so it could be nothing." One of the Masters speaks up with a shrug.

"I'm afraid that we can't take that chance." Tom says with a shake of his head. "We're dealing with a possible attack from the Dark Dimension. We can't take the chance and say 'Well, they're always late'. Dormammu's best option to get here is to turn a member of Kamar-Taj to his side. We are the most skilled, knowledgeable, and powerful people on this planet." Tom says, causing many to nod in agreement.

The man that tried to make excuses for those absent shut his mouth instantly. Although being late for a meeting is normal for these people, this is not a normal situation.

"Who of you knows where we can find these people? We need to investigate this and put a stop to them if the need arises." Tom asks, getting a few raised hands.

"Alright, everyone without their hand raised may retire for the night. The rest of you will go and grab any equipment or artifacts you may need. We will be leaving within the hour for wherever these people are." Tom orders and turns to one of the more senior and trusted members he knows. "You're in charge while I'm away."

As Tom says this, everyone dispersed and returned to their rooms. Some to get a good night's rest while others needed to get their belongings in time to move out for the investigation.

Less than an hour later, Tom and the few Masters that knew where they were going met up in the courtyard again.

Due to the possibility of a battle occurring, every one of them was dressed in their robes equipped with whatever artifacts and weapons they would need.

Once again, Tom didn't bring his beautiful fiancé along. Since this could end up in a fight far beyond her level, Tom didn't want to endanger her life, which didn't make her happy at all.

She wanted to fight at Tom's side and swore to herself to train hard under her mother-in-law when the time arrives.

"Alright, it seems like these people are a sort of group. Do they live together in the same location, or are we going to be hopping from place to place?" Tom asks before setting out.

"They live in a compound together similar to Kamar-Taj, but much smaller. Lestrad made them move in together because he likes keeping his lackeys close." The same woman from before said with a sneer crossing her face.

"It sounds like you don't like him very much?" Tom half asked as he heard the woman scoffed.

"Don't like him? I despise perverts like him! The man is a degenerate that lords over his followers like a king to his peasants. It's a miracle that he hasn't been thrown out of our order yet. I'm not surprised he would be the first to fall for whatever Dormammu offered him and his minions." She rants, getting nods from many of the surrounding masters.

"Although I agree with your words, let's not forget that he's always late when called back to Kamar-Taj. This could be just a big misunderstanding." One of the Masters voices his opinion.

"Yeah, right." The woman says sarcastically.

"Well, we'll find out when we arrive, Hopefully." Tom says, drawing everyone's attention. "If everyone is ready, we should get a move on."

As they set out through a portal opened by one of them, Tom was met with a Chinese-style mansion, similar to that of Kamar-Taj but far smaller in scale.

"Let's see if anyone is home, shall we?"
