The pair stared at each other after the Game Master's announcement. Keira's body gradually tensed, waiting for Katrina to strike out. It didn't matter what sort of truce they'd had throughout the duration of the game. Katrina had made it obvious time and again that she didn't need a partner.
Neither of them made a move. Keira continued to watch her partner carefully until she did something Keira warned her about many times. 'Don't turn your back on your enemy unless you're 100% sure they are dead.' Katrina turned around and reached for the clothing she'd been gifted.
"I'm going to bathe," she announced, unconcerned about whether Keira would attack her or not.
'She knows you would not make the first move,' Ember murmured, fixated on Katrina's back, scrutinising every inch of her for any tell she might turn around and attack them. But the further she moved away, the more relaxed Keira became.
'And I stick by that decision.'
