Once again, Katrina fought like Keira did not exist. She would shoot forward recklessly, making strikes and attacks that could potentially end her life. Yet, Katrina was not a completely formidable foe. Keira kept playing 'catch up'—literally making sure Katrina's back was covered.
By the end of their onslaught, the pair's breathing was ragged. Keira glared at Katrina, both despising that she had to participate and watch her back. She didn't know what rules might be announced next. Could they only win this game as partners? It was a possibility, but Katrina was not making it easy.
The rogue was breathless because of what must surely be her lack of training, and Keira was breathless due to exerting her efforts to rush forward in last-minute attacks and defend her partner's back. "You are too reckless," Keira scolded, staring at the girl who was surely only a few years older than her.
