HTTYD: Wolf Kissed

The crisp air, the smell of salt water, the sound of the waves. I truly developed a love for the sea in my new life. In this instance however I'm less than happy to be traveling. My name is Eivor at least in this life but we'll get to that later, currently I'm about to arrive at the island of Berk. I'm not here as a tourist though, rather I'm here as a hostage I suppose. The Raven clan, my people, decided to fight with the people who live on Berk. We lost and were forced into a peace treaty and to assure that treaty here I am. I'm second son to the chief of our clan Varin.

I hear the sailors aboard our ship scramble as we get near the docks of Berk, rushing to dock I suppose. Stoic the Vast is supposed to be hear to meet me but we've arrived earlier than anticipated so I cant see him, apparent he's the man I'll live with from henceforth. He has a son but I've only heard negative things regarding him.

Pulling up to the long wooden docks I hop off the ship preemptively, I've been starved of peace and quiet the last 9 days. I walk down to dock and wait before the men start unloading the goods that were promised in the aforementioned peace treaty. I contemplate leaving and seeing the island but decide against it in favor of waiting for Stoic.

2 hours pass and I send my men home as I continue to sit on the crates my men moved to the docks. It probably sounds like a boring wait but I found something very amusing, Near the start of the docs two blonde fools have been bashing their heads against the rock for the last hour. Truthfully without them I would've had a much harder time waiting.

2 more hours pass and my entertained mood has shifted to bewilderment. They're still there and smiling like idiots, they stop occasionally to argue but otherwise they've been going for 3 hours.

An hour after that and the two have left and it's dark now, Stoic certainly should have been here by now. Its classic Viking attitude he's trying to show I'm not worth the time to come greet but so be it I'll go explore. Walking through the town I noticed how new all the building seem which is certainly odd considering Berk is older the most. I know we didn't destroy this many houses so I can only assume that their was another raid or the took the opportunity to patch up all the houses while fixing what we destroyed.

My adventures take me all around the island before leading me up to what I assume is a training pit, surrounded by cage and with a sunken floor steeped in blood it certainly fits the bill. I can also see the cages that I assume holds either animals or prisoners to fight though without going down I haven't a clue as to what's inside. Seeing the moon high up in the sky I find a nearby ledge on the rock wall surrounding the area and climb onto it to rest until the mourn, staying off the ground is to avoid any pests. the Furs that line the edges and inside of my leather armor keep me warm as I drift to sleep.

I wake up to the sound of metal slamming on something, opening one eye I peer towards where the disturbance came from to see a ground of kids around my age walk into the pit I saw yesterday along with an older man. I sit up interested to see what they plan to do. My elevated position giving a perfect view from above. After the seem to talk for a while I watch the older man walk towards a cell and release a dragon! A Gronkle is nothing special but seeing one captured in good condition certainly is rare at the very least. The teens scramble around in panick before grabbing shields. I watch as they slowly all lose their shields to shots form the beast, which honestly can't believe none of them actually got hit but whatever. The only two left are one with some skill and one who hid in the corner behind some cover, unfortunately i cant tell what they look like from here so I drop down and move to the edge of the arena. I sit down with my legs dangling off the edge into the arena and my arms resting on the bars just in time to see the boy who hid about to die against the wall. Hes quickly saved by the older man who uses a hook that replaces a severed hand to pull the Gronkle away so it misses its shot before throwing it into the cell again and locking it back in. They dont seem to have noticed me so I decide to make my presence known.

Hiccup POV

I slowly get up with help from Gobber as he tells me how dragons always go for the kill when...

"Man you guys are shit! Hahaha"

I turn to see a boy around my age with shaggy black hair and bright yellow eyes staring at all the new trainees including myself. I see Astrid about to speak before Gobber goes first.

Eivor POV

Gobber - "Well if it isnt Eivor, Stoic was wondering when ye would be here, maybe ya'd join us next time?"

"Oh I'd love to show you a real viking in action if you'd have me"

I walk around to the entrance of arena ignoring what the man said

"Either way I need to see Stoic".

The old man agrees to take me to the chief's but apparently I have to follow them first, leading me to a great hall where were seated before the older man starts to criticize the fighters.

Gobber- "Alright, where did Astrid go wrong in the ring today?"

"Which ones that?" I ask before he points to a blonde girl, with metal pauldrons and a red spiked skirt. "Her/ My somersault dive was gatbage/ sloppy". We both speak over each other. She looks at me before talking about her reverse tumble which was meh, I'll give it a pass.

Gobber ask the same question about hiccup before everyone seems to berate him, seeing how much the hate him I intervene. "His positioning was all wrong, he doesn't know enough about the dragons."

Gobber - "Exactly! So here the dragon manual" he says pulling out a large book "Everything we know about every dragon we know of." he leaves us to study as he goes out the door.

Everyone decides to leave except me and Hiccup "So just you and me huh? guess we'll share?" he asks

I glance over at him while playing with a knife one of the blonde twins left "it's fine just read and I'll listen."

He goes through the book before stopping at Night Fury, the page to sum it up was useless. Before he slowly closes the book. I lift an eyebrow in his direction noticing their isnt a certain dragon in that book, The Skrill. It's a dragon I plan to kill for personal reason but Oh well.

Hiccup leaves and I realise I don't know where the chief is, again...
