67 Ch.67 Ted and Jon Pt.2

"Are you aware that Tori and Daphne like you?" 

(A bit of flashback so you know)

The girls were sitting in the common room and waiting for Jon and Ted to come so they can do movie night together. It had become a bit of a tradition for the group. Even though they had work to do they had promised to come and take a break. Tracey had gone to get them. The three of them popped up out of the briefcase.

Jon and Ted sat on the couch with Daphne and Tori and Tracey sat on one of the chairs with Astoria. 

Jon looked at the group and said, "I hope you guys have picked a movie… cause after this we are going back to work."

Ted sighed and said, "Man, Im tiered."

Jon chuckled and said, "We'll just work for two hours, we'll sleep by 1 or something."

Daphne shot a look to Tori and she looked at Jon and said, "Yeah, about the movie, we couldn't decide what to watch… the movies were in your room and we didn't want to intrude just in case."

Jon sighed and got up from the couch and said, "Fine, I'll pick something… be back in a sec." he walked quickly towards his room.

Tori looked at Ted and said, "Sit over there."

Ted was confused and said, "Why?"

Daphne scrunched her eyebrows and said, "It's a bit cramped that's why."

Ted sighed and moved to another chair and Tori and Daphne sat by themselves looking happy. Jon came as quickly as he could with the movie." He help up a VHS and said, "How about this one." 

Daphne looked at the movie and said, "Breakfast club… okay." She patted the seat next to her and Tori. He put the movie in and sat down between them.

Through out the movie, Ted noticed their behaviour, they both snuggled close to Jon and tried to hold his hand any chance they got. He looked at Tracey and she was more interested in seeing them and that when he realised what was going on. "Bloody hell."

Ted stood before me and asked something that I didn't expect from him at all. He just looked at me and I didn't know what to say, "Pshh, ha… Tori and Daphne like me, t-that's a good one Ted." I laughed at his face trying to deny it.

He scrunched his eyes and looked at me and said, "So you do know?" He folded his arms and asked, "So who do you like?"

I looked at him and he looked determined to know and I sighed and said, "Of course I know, Im not blind…" I scratched my head and paced around and he asked, "So who is it, bro?"

I stopped to look at him and sighed, "It's not that easy man…"

He looked confused and said, "Of course it is… Im not asking you some complicated, magical theory bro… it should be easy."

I sat on the table and said, "It might just be more complicated than that, I mean it doesn't matter who I like… because Im not going to act on it."

He laughed and I looked at him and he stopped, "O-oh, you are s-serious about it… why?"

I looked at him and said, "So you can deduce they like me and I know but you don't know why I won't act on it?"

He shrugged his shoulders and I said, "Who are Tori and Daphne?"

Ted looked at me weirdly and said, "They are g-girls?"

I looked at him and said, "No, Ted… they are best friends, man. If I ever date one of them they will stop being friends. Things will become weird among them. And Im pretty sure that whoever I pick, that thing won't last. Then we'll pick sides and I'll get you obviously." "Obviously." Ted agreed.

"Dating, is something that we shouldn't be concerned with right now, man. Not to mention Dating someone from the group is the biggest mistake any of us can make." I looked at Ted and he knew and I said, "You can't date Tracey dude… Im sorry but you can't."

Ted looked at me and just got up and cleared his throat and said, "I'm just gonna go and get some air." I patted his back and but he shrugged it off and walked out of the room.

I rubbed my hands together and sighed, I didn't want to do this, I just didn't expect this thing to come up this early. I would be luck if I could do what they asked of me but I can't. Suddenly I felt being watched, I got up from the table and said, "Ted? You here?" 

No one responded and I took my wand out and said, "Whoever you are, I hope you know that I will beat the living crap out of you and leave you here."

I heard a little chuckle coming from the back and I turned around and I saw it.

(Ted's Pov)

I sat by myself in the common room with headphones over my ears and his songs playing in my Walkman. After my talk with Jon, I sat down and listened to his songs trying to find any meaning as to why he was being like this and it kind of became apparent. His song Before you go, I think he knew before us.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and I put the headphones away and looked and it was Tracey, "Hey, you alright?" she sat by my side 

I nodded and sighed, she softly chuckled and said, "You don't look okay, something happened between you two?"

I didn't want to talk but I wanted her to hear, "Yeah, I don't know what to do… it's complicated." I chuckled softly, "Weird to say such thing when Im this young, huh?"

She shook her head and said, "Tough situations doesn't have anything to do with age, though…"

I nodded, "They were kinda right you know." Tracey looked at me concerned and I said, "He is going through something tough and I don't think he has someone to talk it out."

Tracey hummed and nodded and said, "That's not true, he has you…" I looked at her and she said, "Didn't he talk to you?" I nodded and she continued, "So just be there for him and you know… you're his best friend."

Ted smiled and said, "Thank you." I stood up and said, "I'll talk to you later." She nodded and I picked up the briefcase and started walking and I stopped and turned to her and said, "It's not my place, but I do think they should stop." She looked at him and pursed her lips.

I stood in front of his lab and walked inside and I saw something hilarious. Jon was working on the head and he was wearing a tiara. He looked at me and said, "Not what it looks like."

I tried to held in but small bursts of laugh escaped me and I nodded and said, "Of course not…" 

He stood there and sighed, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said what I said."

I walked inside and opened the fridge and got two butterbeer out and gave one to him and said, "I don't know what to say." I twisted the cap off and took a sip. 

I sat down on the table and he took the cap off his bottle and said, "I get it." He took a sip 

I looked at him and asked, "Is the group the only reason?"

He looked at me and he sucked on his tooth, "You guys are like my only friends… more than just friends. You guys are like my family. And if I have to sacrifice something to keep it together, them I'll do it."

I nodded and hummed, "You seem pretty sure that we'll stay together…"

He sighed and shook his head and smiled, but I knew that he wasn't happy, "I honestly don't know… that's why I'm trying to ignore it all."

I looked at him and he took a sip and said, "If Im honest, I think Im just scared that Im going to screw everything up… Im just not used to love… it's weird."

He chuckled and I said, "You… I don't know what to do or what to say and I don't think you know it as well. So I'll have your back… whatever and however you might screw up." I got off the table and I hugged him. "What a shitty life we have, huh?"

He chuckled and said, "Yeah." I let go of him and I asked, "So how you find it?"

He took a sip and said, "Helena." I looked at him and he nodded, "Yeah, that one… after you left, she showed up and I talked to her. Both of us wanted the same thing so she helped me and here I am with it."

I chuckled and said, "So did it help?"

He nodded and put the bottle down and said, "Check it out." He activated the head and turned on the Tv and I could see what the head was seeing. 

"Wicked." I chuckled and he said, "Yeah, now just have to make it work with a camera or something."

I took a sip and said, "Let's get to work then."
