Ch.64 Ladies Agreement!

We all have heard of the phrase finding needle in a haystack. Well this is more like finding a needle in a sea of needles. Rustling through the "Room of hidden things" it should be more like room filled with shit no one wants. Trying to find the diadem of Rowena Raven claw was proving to be more of a challenge than I thought. I have been at it for like a week now and I have found nothing so far. But I did come across some other stuff. The vanishing cabinet, I was contemplating whether to keep it or to let it stay there in its place.

Along with that giant closet, there were several other things most of which were broken, "This place is a dump… but a hoarder's paradise I guess." I kept looking but this place was huge, I'm not sure if it has an end or not. My wrist watch rang reminding me of the time. It was 7 o'clock. I sighed and dusted my clothes "Time to get out of here, I guess… maybe next time."

I walked through the maze of abandoned things and found my way out. As I walked out of there I felt as though someone was watching me. It was odd, I looked around and nothing… Maybe I was thinking it. I shook those thoughts aside and made my way to the dining hall. Everyone must be there.

As I walked in the great hall, it was filled with cheer and joy, the vacation did a good job uplifting the morals of the students and the teachers alike. I made my way towards the Slytherin table, to my friends. All of them were stuffing their faces with food. Ted saw me and said, "Ah, finally here… we were waiting but then decided not to."

I smiled and patted his back while sitting down, "Awe, such good friends I have." I took some chicken pasta in my plate and started to eat and Ted asked, "So how is the thing going?"

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Not that great… I mean it's called the room of hidden things for a reason."

He hummed and said, "You tried the Accio spell?"

I looked at him and mockingly said, "No, I didn't try the thing that would have made it easy for me to get it… bastard must have put some charms on it… but I'm sure I'll find it."

Daphne looked concerned and asked, "Are you fine?" I looked at her and I scoffed, "Of course I'm fine… why wouldn't I be?"

Tori looked at Daphne and Daphne said, "I mean you do have like a lot on your plate right now…"

I chuckled and said, "Oh please I can eat this much?"

Tori and Daphne looked at me and Tori said, "You know that's not what she meant… I mean seriously, there is a lot of things you are juggling right now… There is that thing with Daphne's dad, then you are always gone somewhere finding something… that you refuse to tell us what it is and lastly that other spell thing you are working on… I mean, for anyone it's too much."

I looked at her and said, "First of all there is no "thing" between me and Florian" Daphne rolled her eyes "Secondly what are you guys my mom… I'm fine" That part was weird.

Ted chuckled, "Would be weird if you thought them as your mom… but it does make me wonder." Ted suddenly cried in pain and Tracey glared at both of us and said, "We are just a little bit worried for you." She sighed and said, "You haven't been in library with us ever since you got here… I understand that you want to complete your work… but you do need to take care of yourself."

I looked at the two of them and they really did look worried and Ted said, "Okay, I'll put your minds at ease… I'll be with him… taking care of him."

They looked a bit relieved and I turned to Ted and asked, "You sure? Like I know you have your own things that you need to do…"

He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Yeah, but I can do it with you when you are working… and I can help you with your things and besides what are friends for."

I nodded and ate and I asked them, "So what you guys did today?"

Tori shrugged her shoulders and said, "Nothing much, we studied a little, Daphne talked something about some shoes and that's it I guess."

I nodded and thought, that finding the diadem was a better use of my time. All of us talked and ate before we went back to our rooms. Ted joined me in my room. As he entered the room he was a bit surprised to see the room. He looked around and asked, "Did you just renovate the room?"

I nodded and said, "Yeah… do you like it." I turned to look at him, "I changed some stuff around, I got a bigger bed, some overhead lights, that giant CRT Tv and an entertainment center with a SNES and Genesis and the coup de grâce." I walked to the new cupboard and opened it to let him see inside. "It's a like the one from Narnia… cool right?"

He looked at me confused and I said, "It's like a book, the closest thing would be the briefcase that I have and the best part…" He listened carefully and I said, "both of them are like connected."

He hummed and said, "I wish I had this… would be useful to get away from my Dad."

I patted his back and said, "Come on let's get to work." We walked inside into the closet and to my lab.

As we entered the lab he saw the table and said, "Ah, buddy…"

I hummed "Yeah?"

He pointed at the box at the middle of the table and asked, "What's in that?"

I squinted my eyes and said, "Yeah, that is the project…" 

He asked, "What is it?" 

I took hold of the box and said, "How good are you with gross things?"

He scoffed and said, "I'm pretty good, my stomach is like Azkaban."

I hummed and smiled, "Great!" I removed the top of the box and he looked at it and just threw up and I said, "Asskaban."

(In the girl's room)

Daphne and Tori were laying on their beds and Tracey was asleep. Midnight was well passed by now… The two girls couldn't sleep. Something was going around and around in their mind. Not being able to bear it Tori got up from her bed and gathered her courage to ask something to one of her best friends. She dreaded the answer more than the question 

"Daphne?" Tori asked her in a whisper. Daphne turned her face to see her and asked, "Yeah?"

Tori shook her head and said, "Nothing…" She sighed and took a deep breath before asking her, "Is there something going on with you and Jon?"

Daphne's eyes widened and she sat upright and looked if Tracey was asleep and sure enough she fell asleep with headphones on her ears. Daphne looked at Tori and didn't know how to answer her friend, "I don't know."

Tori was baffled and asked, "What do you mean you don't know?!" 

Daphne quickly shushed her and said, "You want her to know?" Daphne sighed and said, "I don't know what I feel for him… I mean he annoys the living hell out of me and I just want to punch him."

Tori hummed and involuntarily said, "Yeah." 

Daphne continued while running her fingers through her golden locks, "But then he does all these other things and it kinda makes…"

"Want to have him by you all the time?" Tori looked sad and completed her friends sentence and sighed, "This sucks… I can't believe you would do such a thing."

Daphne looked at her and said, "It's not like I can turn it off how I feel. I like him."

Tori scoffed and said, "So you went from "I don't know how I feel to I like him?" And besides I knew him first."

Daphne looked at her and said, "You didn't call Dibs."

Tori looked at her with a baffled expression, "Dibs, dibs… guys do that and besides it's stupid… and it was implied."

Daphne laughed sarcastically and said, "You have to call and… Dibs."

Tori was now fuming and both got into an argument and Tracey woke up and said, "Will you two shut it… you can fight for that weirdo later…" saying her piece she went back to sleep.

Tori and Daphne locked eyes and said, "Who ever gets him first win… other ones backs away." Tori proclaimed and Daphne nodded both shook on it and said, "Ladies, agreement."

Tracey shouted, "Shut up! God!"

And thus the two friends issued a challenge for the heart of Jonathan. Who knows how badly will it end.

"Did you feel a sudden chill?" Jon asked Ted who held a bucket closer to his chest.
