__________

Charlus stood in front of all the Professors in an empty room. In front of him were a desk and a chair. On the desk were 4 papers.

"Is there anything wrong Professors?"

Charlus asked the Professors.

"Yes," Professor Mason replied. "We have reason to believe that you were cheating during the previous examination."

Charlus immediately denied the accusation.

"That is impossible Professor. I didn't cheat."

"That is not up to you to decide. You will now write another test and the marks you score here will decide whether or not you cheated."

Charlus became angry.

"How is this fair! Just because you people think that I cheated doesn't mean I did. If I write these tests I will waste the entire day. How can the school compensate for that?"

"No more detentions. If what you are saying is true, and you indeed did not cheat, you will no longer receive any detentions. No matter what you do in the classes - sleep, eat, whatever."

Charlus calmed down and sat in the chair. He still didn't like that he was being suspected but he couldn't do anything about it. He flipped over the pages and started answering the questions.

6 Hours Later

Charlus finally finished the Potions Paper. He got up and left the room. The Potions Professor picked up the Potions Paper and started grading it. The other professors were already done with their grading and didn't have any expression on their faces. When the Potions Professor finished, he was filled with shock.

"He got everything right!"

He looked around at the other professors and saw that they were not saying anything. He understood that they had also found what he had found.

"We should have listened to Professor Reinhart!"

"No point crying over spilt milk. We should tell this to the Headmistress and ask her what to do."

_____

Duelling Club

Charlus came to the Duelling club as soon as he was done with his meeting with the Professors. When he got there, he saw his seniors were waiting for him.

"You still have a match today? Where were you?"

"The Professors called me. Can I start now?"

The senior pointed Charlus to a stage in one corner of the room. He quickly took out his wand and climbed the stage.

His opponent was a sixth-year named Melissa. She was the daughter of the Herbology Professor and she looked a lot like her. This made Charlus remember that her mother had just ruined his day. He got angry at her simply for being her mother's daughter.

"Begin."

The minute the referee announced the start of the duel, Charlus released a Flipendo with all his anger behind it.

"Flipendo!"

"Protego."

Melissa tried to deflect it with a shield but the sheer force in the spell destroyed the spell and knocked her halfway across the room.

Charlus regretted what he did immediately. He shouldn't have let loose his anger on Professor Mason on her daughter instead. He remembered the lessons he learnt from Nicholas Flamel about how his emotions needed to be in control.

The referee was speechless at the stunning and crushing victory of Charlus.

"Winner - Charlus. Charlus - 1 win, 1 loss. Melissa - 2 wins, 1 loss."

Melissa was barely hurt, but she was still surprised at the way she lost. She had felt her shield crumple around the spell having little to no effect. The only reason she wasn't in the infirmary was that her opponent was just a First-Year.

Everyone who was watching the duel was shocked. They had never seen that much power in a Fifth-Year, much less a Fourth-Year. Robbie, who was also watching the match went to Charlus.

"Man, you were going easy on me?"

Charlus shook his head.

"No."

"Really? You just decimated this girl. You could have wiped the floor with me."

Charlus laughed.

"Trust me, you beat me fair and square."

"Yeah right. But I will not be duelling with you ever again."

Charlus asked the nearest senior about his schedule.

"Do you know when my next match is? The name is Charlus Potter. I'm a fourth year."

"Yeah sure. Give me a minute." The senior went through the list he had. "You have a match against a fifth-year named Tatch tomorrow at 3 PM. You have consecutive matches actually. You will face against Gamin after Tatch. If you win both, you will qualify for the top-8."

Charlus nodded and walked towards Melissa.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been angry at you. I hope you weren't hurt."

Melissa was confused at Charlus' words but Charlus left before she could ask him to explain them to her.
