Chapter 37: Gifts

Hogwarts, Great Hall.

The hall was filled with Christmas lights.

More than a hundred fat turkeys, stacked up like small hills, roasted and boiled potatoes, large plates of sausages, bowls of meat sauce, and different vegetable salads.

It seems that the house-elves at Hogwarts made every effort this time.

Being here at Hogwarts for almost four months, Arthur believed that only the beauty of the Sorting Ceremony could rival this banquet. In addition, There were fireworks all over the area around the four long tables.

Fred and George had once brought him some of these things. With a gentle pull of the fuse, different strange effects would appear.

The last time, the twins gave him a powder that when it exploded, would leave behind some dung bombs. It wouldn't go away for a day if it got on someone's clothes.

However, Fred and George were completely tricked by Arthur's Air Charms.

Arthur gently picked up a wizard firecracker and pulled it lightly.

"Bang!"

The top of the firecracker exploded with a sound like a cannon, and a large blue smoke filled the air. At the same time, a bag of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans and a few Chocolate Frogs popped out of it.

The professors in the Great Hall were also different from usual. Dumbledore was laughing like a 100-year-old kid and was even wearing a woman's hat, which made Professor McGonagall laugh uncontrollably.

Professor Flitwick continuously used magic to create those legendary little fairies. Each fairy radiated a different color and radiated light.

They flew in the air, adding an unrealistic color to the hall.

Arthur knew that these little fairies were just fakes made up of magic. They would disappear on their own after a certain amount of time.

There weren't many young wizards staying at Hogwarts during the holidays, so Arthur didn't continue to eat at the Ravenclaw table. Instead, he was pulled over to the Gryffindor table by the Weasley twins.

"Hi, I'm Percy," a red-haired boy greeted Arthur.

Arthur also smiled and said hello. He knew that Percy was the twins' older brother and the Gryffindor prefect.

The other Gryffindors welcomed Arthur's arrival. Arthur was known as quite friendly, and every student liked him.

However, only some of the Slytherin girls liked him.

Soon, everyone was laughing and chatting. Ron pulled out a set of wizard's chess and prepared to play a game with Harry.

But Harry didn't fall for it. He quickly approached Seamus and played with the Chudley Cannons toys together.

Arthur couldn't help but feel that the wizarding world was really lacking in entertainment. When he had achieved a certain level of proficiency in alchemy, he would definitely create some fun things.

Finally, Fred took advantage of Percy's speech on how to become a prefect and stole his badge. Then Percy chased after the twins through the hall.

At this point, everyone was a little tired and ready to go back to sleep, waking up early tomorrow to open presents. Early in the morning, Arthur rubbed his sleepy eyes and saw a bunch of packages in front of his bed.

He had already expected to receive many gifts, but when he got closer to inspecting, he found that there were even more than he had imagined. The entire room was filled with packages.

So, Arthur began his joyful journey of opening gifts. Opening presents is like opening a blind box; you never know what's inside.

First was Cho's gift, which was a scarf.

Looking at the slightly messy design, Arthur knew it must have been knitted by Cho herself. He decided to wear the scarf when she returned to meet her.

The twins gave him a candy that would briefly change the voice of a young wizard after eating it. It was pretty interesting. He planned to make a gender-swapping potion and give it to Harry to drink together.

Hermione gave him a hand-copied notebook of her own magic history notes, knowing that Arthur never paid attention in the history of the magic class.

This was very useful to Arthur.

Harry gave him a set of broom care tools, while Lee Jordan gave him a book called "Quidditch Classic Matches."

There were also some other small gifts such as candy and notebooks from other young wizards. But what surprised Arthur the most was that professors from all four houses each gave him a gift.

Professor McGonagall gave him a magazine called "Today's Transfiguration," which was the most classic academic journal on transfiguration in the wizarding world, and it was normally unavailable to most people.

Professor Sprout gave him a pot of star sunflowers. This type of sunflower closes during the day and absorbs starlight at night to grow, making it a great decorative plant.

Headmaster Dumbledore gave him a copy of his books on spell knowledge, although it was a duplicate version, it was still very valuable.

What surprised him the most was that Professor Snape actually gave him a bottle of Felix Felicis.

Although Arthur had won Felix Felicis before in a lottery, it did not mean that the potion was not precious in the magical world. This small bottle of Felix Felicis could probably buy the Weasley family.

Arthur was glad that he didn't forget the heads of the houses when he was giving gifts. He even gave Dumbledore some wolen socks.

This Christmas, the gift that Arthur gave and spent the most Galleons on was a Nimbus 2001 - the Nimbus, which he bought six months in advance through Professor Flitwick's connections, and give to Cho.

For Hermione, he gave her the complete collection of Professor Lockhart's books, as Professor Lockhart was expected to teach at Hogwarts next year.

Although the man himself was not great, the stories he stole and the accuracy of the information were not bad.

Arthur was worried that Hermione would spend too much of her family's limited allowance on these books next year, so he thoughtfully gave her the set.

As for the Weasley twins and Harry, Arthur gave each of them a spell. He gave the twins a reversed hourglass, and Harry's spell was his signature spell, "Expelliarmus."

However, the most precious gift was the spell Arthur gave to Severus Snape - the Garden of Eden.

This is a story from a few days ago. Arthur won a gacha and got a magical spell that can extract memories from someone's mind and form a memory space where one can project their own soul.
