Chapter 9: You need to move out

You need to move out

Yes my parents place is the best place for hiding out till all this mess is sorted out. None of my drivers know the place and my parents are against me marrying that cow. Well I think I have to make arrangements before the week ends. "Lydia you need to move out of your house before the end of the week. The doctor said you need to relax so tomorrow we have to go to your house and only take the important stuff. You can sell the house as it is, I mean with the furniture included" "Okay we'll do as you say. As long as I have my clothes, documents and jewellery I am good.

We can go there around 11 in the morning, just organise people to help me move as you know I can't do any lifting for the time being." She said while lifting her legs on to the couch ready to lie there more comfortably.

"So have you thought of where we will be living?" She asked looking at me and I answer her immediately. "My parents place. Don't worry I have a cottage there so you don't have to be under their roof if you don't want to. I feel it's the best place for us until this mess is sorted, and for your safety. We do not know what your husband can do if he realises that you blocked his sources for money and the house."

Lydia's POV

I stretch myself and get out of bed feeling very refreshed. Wait? How did I get here? I remember the last thing I did was relaxing on the couch while talking to Mark. He should be the one who carried me to bed. I went to the bathroom and clean up. After getting dressed in a simple sport wear, I head to the sitting room where I find Jay and Mark having breakfast. "Morning sleepy head" Jay greets me with a chuckle. "What? What's wrong?" I ask looking at him very puzzled.

"Don't worry about him. How was your sleep?" Mark asks with his usual smile. "I feel great, one of the best sleep I had in a while." I said while smiling at him. I sit down and join them for the meal. "So are you ready for today?" Jay asked. "Well I can never be ready but it's a must. It has to be done." I responded.

"Well… you know that the divorce is finalized right and the sale of your house will be completed at the end of this month. I just informed the agent in charge that you want to sell the house with its contents and so tell me when do you want the bank account to be frozen?" Jay asked while stuffing toasted bread in to his mouth.

"Jay wait with the bank accounts. I want to do this in one day, I want to enjoy this. So I think it will be sweet if the money can disappear on the same day when the house is sold. That way he is going to flip. He He He! I can't wait." I said that and both of them looked at me amused with what I just said.

Driving in to my yard, I see my mother in-law's car in the drive way. I park next to her car and get off. As soon as I walk in the house I see her feeding Rose while sitting on my couch. Oh! I feel my anger rise and I immediately force myself to calm down. I plaster the sweetest smile on my face and greet them.

I sit near them and ask "Mom why are you here and why is Rose with you?" she looks at me with a bit of uneasiness in her eyes. She quickly conceals her uneasiness and plasters on a smile to answer me. "Oh dear, your friend Jane asked me to bring baby Rose to you for baby sitting. She said she tried to contact you but could not get hold of you. So she asked me to bring her." I can clearly see that she is lying through her teeth. I can now confirm what Jay said about Rose being George's daughter.

So this whole family has been playing me all this time and today she forgot to swear at me as she normally does. I sneer in my heart and say; "Oh mom I am so sorry that Jane did this to you, I am not feeling well. I have not been well for the past few days and as you can see I came from the doctor now and he booked me to be admitted in hospital. I just came to pack a few clothes and toiletries for my hospital stay. He said that he needs to make a few tests in order to find out what is bothering me." Since she can lie through her teeth, I can lie better than her.

I see her frown and asks me what was wrong with me. "Mom I really don't know what is wrong with me. Two days ago I passed out while taking a stroll in the park. I went to the doctor after that. He checked for pregnancy and high blood and found nothing. It happened again this morning that's why I went back to the doctor. That is why he is sending me straight to the hospital to try and find out what is wrong with me as soon as possible. So mom I need to trouble you to take care of Rose for me as my appointment is at 11 this morning and it's already 10:10. Mom I need to rush now I won't be sending you off, I need to pack up. So I will call you when I am in hospital to tell you what is going on. Just take baby Rose with you she needs to take her nap soon. Bye mom, bye Rossey." I say my goodbyes while walking up to my bed room.

I peep at her as soon as I reach the top and I see her packing up her stuff and walking out with Rose in tow. I sigh in relief when I hear her car drive off. Damn It's a good thing that I came here early without Mark.
