Banquet begins

Actually, this is not the main courtyard, but it is called that to all guests present. Instead, this is a courtyard constructed over the previous main courtyard. The new main courtyard had been designed with the input from both the madam, my thigh and myself. The main courtyard would be his in the future, but I had been left to select the various designs to my like and assist with the construction to make sure everything is as I desired.

For my thigh, I focused on the stability of the structure using the best materials available to us, the different side courtyards for his future children and concubines. Unlike this one, which had side rooms instead of side courts. The side rooms varied in size because they were for servants that are close to the master during his time. It comprised mainly four. The sleeping rooms, gardens which were three with a small lake among the largest. The other two are simply minor adjusted a bit to look much more presentable. The library had also been located nearby but most of the important documents and books had been moved, leaving basic history about this world and sparse information about the Kai family.

The antiques were also of limited value but can still be considered valuable while the truly valuable items were moved to the new Courtyard with a few split between myself and the old madam.

As for the bathroom used by the public, it is fit for all of those present. The females were designed with coral, with white walls.

"She is really pretty."

"She does not look like a wild child, her stature is not bad."

"En, the tiny thing carries herself well. I suppose she has been trained well by the Kai matriarch."

"Mm, it does look so but even though the Kai matriarch has married into a fallen family, her background is not bad."

"True, but none of them is present so even if her background is good her-"

"Her mother's lineage is present. The present patriarch her nephew is here with his family and legal born children."

"It looks like her maternal home has given her plenty of face."

"It looks that way."

Reaching the bottom, I lifted my head and greeted the old madam graciously. "This young girl greets old madam Kai." I then proceeded to complete the series of respectable bows before standing tall once again.

Old madam Kai,

looked down at my form and looked down at the attire on the little girl who had proved her worth since her arrival. Beside her was the grandson she adored.

Those around her conversed softly, whispering words that both annoyed and pleased her. But this is a part of life. These people to old madam Kai are not those who would become useful to her since she already had all she needed.

Those who arrived spoke a while longer as the servants expertly flitted among them. A while later, the announcement was heard signalling the beginning of the banquet.

"Hello everyone, as the host this evening. I would like to reintroduce myself. I am madam Kai of the Kai family. Today's banquet will be held in the honor of my adopted granddaughter Kai Zephyra. Now I would like to announce the beginning of the banquette. So please allow the nearby servants to lead you to the designated area."

With that, old madam Kai took the step in the direction of the Banquet Hall designed for such an event. The guests invited are a total of fifty, with their partners totalling one hundred, excluding an extra few.

Entering the room, old madam Kai felt pleased by what she had seen. The 10,00sq room had been changed from a plain room made from golden walls and dark grey tiled floor to be filled with a main round table in the middle comprising ten to five seats. Compared to the other eight-seater tables this table was quite small, but it had plenty of room.

Around the edges were dedicated servants monitoring specific tables so as to immediately react when the guest request something specific.

On the outskirts were tables filled with various types of glasses aligned in a various pyramid styles. Following this were ice sculptures cut in various plant styles.

Old. Lady stepped aside and stood near the entrance watching as all the guests entered before slowly walking inside scanning the surroundings, seeing the guests take their respective seats.

Personally in the eyes of old madam Kai, she had thought that they would find fault somehow but when she saw that none have said anything so far she felt oddly curious as to why but became distracted when the last guest took their seat and so signalled for the drinks to be served.

The head maid Quai nodded and made another signal of which the well dressed serving servants stepped forward with the required beverages.

Glasses were first securely placed, and the beverages were then poured into the glass.

In her seat, she took a sip before placing the glass down and smiling at the well dressed Zephyra who has officially become her granddaughter.

"Little Ra, do you like the setup?"

"Of course, grandmother Kai, the real thing is better than the image. "

"En, that is true, now you can tell me about the food, yours have been specially been prepared."

"Yes. Then this granddaughter will say when the time arrives."

Old madam Kai smiled graciously at this young granddaughter, then looked at her grandson and the son of a cousin.

Both were males that would draw the eyes of many families. One was seven while the other is thirteen. The secondary is extremely beautiful but thanks to the recently developed image, most of his features have been altered. While the grandson has grown almost as mature as any male, but is forced to continue being a small boy.
