Chapter 3 Growing up (pt. 2)

...General POV...

When Himeko turned four she was now supposed to start my training in the gentle fist art. This was the taijutsu art of the Hyūga clan and known as the strongest taijutsu art. All the kids in the clan also started at the age of four. The kids were given a time- limit of a year to master to techniques of the gentle fist art given by the trainers.

.....MC's POV....

As I was walking home from the Hyūga training grounds a question appeared in my mind 'did I really want to be a ninja'. Although I had lived in this world for years now I hadn't even thought about ninjas and chakra. I had been focused on having a better childhood than I had had before.

I returned home and had dinner with my parents and went to bed. The question was now bothering me even more since my parents were ninjas. I really like this family and my parents but since they were ninja and always in danger during missions and wars like the one to come in eleven years. I decided to become a ninja and be so strong that I wouldn't be restricted by the main family. They will have to respect me because of my strength. If people could hear these thoughts coming out of a 4 year old they would be shocked.

I woke up early in the morning and decided to train my body. If I wanted to perfect the Gentle fist art I would need a strong body. My parents were already gone by this time like always. They were responsible for guarding the wall of Konoha so they had to wake up very early every morning.

I started running around the whole Hyūga clan and after that I returned home and tried the chakra control exercise where one puts a leaf on their forehead. I did this while eating the food left by my mother.

After that I went to the Hyūga training grounds for my lessons.

They started teaching us general hand to hand combat of the gentle fist art like stances and so on. For the rest of the year this is what they taught us.After training we would go to a hall to learn about the Hyūga clan.

I made my first physical friend in both lives this year called Masashi. She was quite fun. Her personality was the best. She was quiet and respectful on the surface but in reality she was a total bitch. She was herself around me and we had a great time for the rest of the year.

I thought my life was perfect because I learned the taijutsu they taught us pretty fast and the trainers were now starting to think I had a bright future and so were the other clan members. They started calling me a genius. I had long finished the two techniques we were supposed to learn for the year and was the most promising child in the branch family followed by Masashi. We were like the unstoppable duo to the other children.
