Chapter 4

I gathered Magic into my legs and I used it to give me a burst of speed. I quickly appeared in front of the lion and gathered Magic into my hand. This time it didn't reject. The gauntlet was covered in a layer of destruction Magic.

I quickly punched the lion in the head. Which exploded its skull effectively killing it.

After that day I trained to fill my body with Magic to strengthen it and also to create a layer of Magic around my body for protection. I also refined my projectile attacks.

I would also do some exercises to keep my body in shape. I also talked to Draig. After explaining our situation, He agreed to help me train in using the boosted gear.

Some demon beasts would come to the outer layer every 3 months or so. I used them as experience bags.

After a full year in the forest I finally felt confident in my power enough to decide to go out. If I were to fight without the boosted gear, I would be equal to a Ki gathering cultivator and if I did use it I'd be equal to a Ki Fortifying cultivator.

My clothes were now a mess. There were torn in several places revealing my very well made body. So first thing I needed was clothes. After that I would go rob the people who killed Zhen Lin. After that I would start my wandering in search for immortality.

I starts walking towards the exit of the forest. I had gone there a few times before as I had stayed in the forest for a year. After reaching the exit, I finally walked out of the forest.

There was a rocky terrain and mountains everywhere. This was the territory of the Mountain Dragon. It was a Golden Core level beast. There were many beasts like this in the continent. People avoided their territories.

That is why I couldn't see a human settlement.

"Draig, do you sense anyone in the surrounding area?" I asked.

"Yes, there are a 4 people a few miles Northwest of this spot." Replied a green light on my hand.

After listening to his response I nodded. I then pumped lots of Magic into my legs and sped to the Northwest.

I'm a 18 year old girl from a non-cultivating who was surprisingly accepted into a highly esteemed cultivation academy. I went to the exams and they tested me and said my spirit roots were acceptable for me to join the academy. I was very happy. My parents were also very happy that there would be a cultivator in the family. So when I started to attend the academy I gave it my all. Since I didn't come from a cultivating family or clan, I used the resources I got from the academy to the fullest. I was then hailed as a genius as my cultivation was above my peers. I was in the 2nd stage of Ki gathering. People from Noble clans started to pay attention and to approach me. Most wanted me to be married to their sons. Some sects also approached me wanting me to join after I reached the 5th stage of Ki Gathering. When I was 16 I reached the 5th stage of Ki Gathering. This was a close to impossible feat. Only royal family members with unlimited resources could do this. I was then accepted into the Royal Dragon Sect. This was the most prominent sect in the Azure Dragon Empire. Only Noble family members and royals could attend. But they made an exception for me as I was a genius.

After two years of cultivation I reached the 7th stage of cultivation. I was left with only with a 1 more rank to reach Ki Fortifying stage and become an inner court disciple. My friend Han Bei, a Noble invited me to take a mission with her to the Rocky Mountains. We were going with her boyfriend, Zhuge Lian who was an inner court disciple. His friend Lui Bei was also joining us.
