Chapter 13: The Inherited Playboy Trait

Listening to their two irrelevant conversations, Charles Smith was so frustrated that he felt like vomiting blood. These two women!

This Olivia Smith was his own sister, and don't forget that he paid for her to study interior design abroad! And yet she's just standing by, watching the show?

That idiotic and heartless secretary he could somewhat tolerate, even though they've known each other for so many years and she hasn't fallen for him in all that time!

But she didn't come out to help him either. After all, Charles Smith had been influenced by Anna and followed her every word.

As he was brooding over this, his ear was suddenly twisted, causing him to grimace in pain. He wanted to curse but held back as he saw his father, Adolf Smith, veins bulging in his neck. "Dad, am I not the CEO of the company? Treating me like this in front of my employees, how do you expect me to lead?"

Sighing deeply, Charles realized that he had lost face and power in front of Hannah Snow. But then again, both in front of her and behind closed doors, he had lost all sense of authority and influence!

"Haha!" Upon hearing his words, Hannah Snow and Olivia Smith couldn't help but burst into laughter, spitting out the watermelon seeds they were chewing.

They exchanged glances. Lead? He's only good at leading women in bed, right?

"Lead? You lead a fart!" Charles Smith didn't mince words. "If it weren't for Hannah, who has no interest in our family business, I would have handed Global Entertainment over to her! It's better than letting you ruin it in your hands!"

Adolf Smith knew too well about his son's abilities, that he wasn't just some prodigal son who only knew how to indulge in pleasure. He was perfectly capable of handling everything, but he simply didn't want to. It frustrated him to no end that he had such a clever mind but refused to use it!

Hannah Snow politely declined, "Thank you, Uncle Adolf, but please don't involve me in your family matters."

Noticing her daughter's smirk, "Olivia Smith, you too!"

Omg! So innocent!

Olivia Smith reluctantly wiped away her smile. She simply couldn't stand it; why should only men be allowed to be playboys? Women could be representatives of the moon too, punishing those arrogant men!

But when it came to her own brother, maybe only Hannah Snow was qualified to be with him. The problem was, the two of them didn't have that kind of chemistry, and that was a serious issue!

Hannah Snow suppressed the mocking smile on her face. Indeed, Charles Smith wasn't as he appeared playboyish and carefree. In fact, when it came to work, he was a man who could impress even the shrewdest businessmen in the market.

But he insisted on hiding his capabilities behind his playboy façade, making everyone believe he was just an unambitious playboy.

No wonder Adolf Smith was furious. The next season's board meeting was approaching, and considering Charles Smith's current "performance," he was highly likely to be replaced by shareholders. If he didn't put in effort and prove himself, Hannah Snow, no matter how capable she was, couldn't help him.

Her thoughts then went back to the year he proactively sought her out to help him at Global Entertainment...
