Chapter 11: I Am a Witness

From childhood to adulthood, fearless Hannah was most afraid of her own mother. She quickly used the most humble tone to appease her mother, "Of course, I'll go back! I promise to go back!"

She hurriedly thought about what image she should use to scare off the blind date this time.

"I'm telling you, this time, the person you're meeting has an extraordinary background. If you dare to scare them away, I'll cut off all ties with you! See if I won't!"

After leaving a threatening remark, Hannah's mother hung up without hesitation, wearing a cunning smile. If she didn't marry her off this time, she wouldn't deserve to be Hannah's mother.

Hannah stared at the phone screen after the call ended. Sigh, she might as well die!

Her previously good mood vanished in three seconds, replaced by a cold expression. She reverted to being the terrifying all-capable secretary.

She took out her PDA from her briefcase and checked Charles Smith's schedule for the day. Oh?

Today was the big day for Charles's precious little sister, Stephanie Smith, who was returning home after completing her studies abroad.

Stephanie had completely inherited her brother's flirtatious nature. She not only toyed with men but also kept her purity intact. She allowed them to see but not touch, which made Hannah idolize her from the moment they met, becoming one of her few good friends.

The phone rang again, and Hannah thought it was her demon mother calling again, "Hello?"

There was a moment of silence on the other end, followed by a cautious voice, "I'm sorry, I dialed the wrong number."

Charles Smith was taken aback when he recognized Hannah Snow after she had revealed herself. Annoyed, he took off his hat and retorted, "Damn it! I go to such lengths to disguise myself, and you still managed to recognize me?"

Knowing that after the heatstroke incident, he would undoubtedly become the talk of the entire company, he purposely made himself look like a secret agent. However, he didn't expect that the cunning little fox, Hannah, would still see through his disguise.

Hannah Snow didn't find his remark amusing and glanced at his dyed golden hair. "Who told you to dye your hair in such a flashy color? Did you think I wouldn't recognize you? Well, by the way, why did you come so early today?"

Charles took off his black windbreaker and threw it to her. "Our family's top Beauty, Olivia Smith, is returning today. How could I be late?"

Top Beauty?

It did suit Olivia perfectly. Charles then added, "Let's go; Olivia Smith is already waiting at the airport."

In truth, if Hannah didn't have such a sharp tongue and a difficult personality, she could have been quite a decent person to consider. Unfortunately, it was impossible!

Both of them harbored the same thoughts, and they headed straight to the underground parking lot using the exclusive elevator.

"Hahaha...no way? Oh dear, this is too funny!" Sitting in the backseat, Miss Lillian (Olivia's nickname) burst into laughter upon hearing about her brother's fainting episode in front of everyone. She laughed so hard that she lost her composure.

Hannah calmly continued flipping through the documents in her hand. She had long grown immune to such antics. She had already laughed herself silly on the day of the incident.

Her boss, Charles, was someone who cared deeply about his reputation and disliked being the center of someone's jokes. She had figured him out a long time ago, which was why she managed to stick by his side for so long without being replaced.

Although Anna played a significant role, Charles was not a man who would easily be manipulated by anyone.
