CHAPTER 10: OH THIS IS FUN

Jack dropped Tatum off at her house and then went straight to his home and started to lay down in his bed.

He sighed "Let's see if I was the killer when would I strike. I would assume someone dies tonight or the next couple days. Something big and life changing usually happens and then the killing starts right away."

He tossed over "I know my friends because of my memories but I don't know a lot about the random people around in school. I do know my friends are not good people either besides Emma and Riley everyone else could possibly be bad. Tatum is obviously fine."

He looked up at the ceiling "Well if this is suppose to be like the movie then there should be two victims a boy an a girl with ... no ...… parents at home."

He stood up and started to rush around the house getting dressed "Fucking Nina and Tyler."

Jack got on his motorcycle and quickly drove to Nina's house. He could have called but he thought this would be a good chance to manipulate whoever he saves. He muttered "Preferably Tyler dies an I save Nina. Unless I'm wrong and the killer doesn't strike yet."

After driving in the night he pulled up to Nina's house. He noticed Tyler's 1988 mustang in the driveway. He turned his lights off as he parked off to the side near the bushes. Nina lived in a nice neighborhood. She had one of those houses with the long driveways that go up a hill a little bit. With a ton of grass and tree area around the house. Perfect place for parties but also the perfect place for a killer to strike.

Once Jack parked near some bushes he walked across the tree line trying his best to stay out of sight. He noticed Tyler's car door was open. He walked over making sure to stay out of the lights of the driveway. He was currently wearing an all black hoodie an all black pants. So he hoped he was being difficult to spot. He sighed 'This sneak perk better be working.'

He walked around to the driver side door where he saw Tyler's headless body. He rolled his eyes in annoyance 'There goes a kill. I wouldn't have minded killing Tyler. Definitely disliked him most out of the group. Hopefully there is still time to save Nina.'

Jack snuck around the side opting to go through the backyard and front door. As he was going around the side he heard Nina begin to play music in her backyard. He quietly made it towards the backyard as he squatted down hiding in some bushes. He looked around carefully not seeing anyone but Nina who just got in the hot tub.

He heard her phone continuously going off. He then watched as an object was thrown into the pool from his far right on the other side of the backyard. He immediately saw that it was Tyler's head. It made a huge splash in the pool. Jack watched as Nina slowly got up and looked to see what landed in the hot tub.

Once she realized what it was she screamed out rushing out of the hot tub. Jack then watched as she started to fumble with her phone and run around. Jack sighed 'Truly she has the lowest survival instincts a human could possibly have.'

He then watched as she started to bang on her own backyard doors asking for help. When no one else was around. He sighed again 'And they get lower.'

He slowly started to make it towards the backyard 'I need to make sure she realizes how much danger she is in before I save her.'

He then watched as the killer came out of the bushes across from him. Jack tilted his head 'That's not a Scream mask. Looks more like a fake made at home version.'

He watched as Nina kept banging across her doors in her backyard begging for help. He saw the slow approach of the new updated Ghost Face.

Nina banged on her doors only for her tiny Pomeranian dog to hear "Please open up."

The new Ghost Face then came behind Nina raising their knife slashing Nina in the back. But somehow missing her string bikini top. Somehow magically staying on perfectly. Jack smirked at this realizing it would be the best moment to save her. She would lose a good amount of blood but it was definitely a livable injury. Especially since Jack had a rank one medic skill as well.

He ran out of the bushes as Nina was backing up on her hands as if she was crab walking. Both the killer and Nina had not noticed Jack yet. Nina stumbled up trying to walk and fell back down. When she looked up she saw Jack. "Jack help!!!!!"

Nina yelled "Please!!!"

The Ghost Face who was slowly approaching Nina took a step back and hesitated not expecting a third person. Jack ran along the outside of the pool and was able to make his way towards Nina.

Jack knelt down and looked at her handing his phone "Call the cops and make sure they bring an ambulance for you."

He had already dialed it in. Nina quickly nodded and did what she was told. Jack then stood up looking at the still Ghost Face. "I'm guessing you did not expect there to be a third person?"

The Ghost Face shook their head. Jack chuckled as he pulled out his military knife "So you going to run or try and get an extra kill."

Ghost Face held their knife tossing it around in their hand a bit as they then started to lunge toward Jack. He easily side stepped it and Spartan kicked the killer in the side of their ribs causing them to stumble and fall over to their side. He felt a slight bend in the bones and was shocked by how light they were.

Jack tilted his head "A girl killer good to know. Unless you are the most frail high school boy ever."

The Ghost Face who was getting up paused for a moment. Jack sighed "The only thing I really need to figure out. Is if you are new to town or if you have been around here. Another good question would be if you are doing this for fame or if you have a vendetta against someone that is not Nina. Like if you wanted to hurt someone indirectly perhaps."

Jack took a step towards the Ghost Face and they took a step back in unison. Jack smirked "A girl then."

Ghost Face tilted its head but Jack could feel the shock. He chuckled "A girl would take a step back after what I said not being offended. However if a guy was under that mask he would more then likely charge at me for calling him a girl or saying he was a frail boy. After all most guy killers have fragile egos."

He pouted "But already running away I would not have expected that."

He then saw the flash of blue and red lights as well as hear sirens. Ghost Face quickly started to run away. Jack wanted to chase but he still figured it was the best time to manipulate Nina. He grabbed a clean pool towel and used his knife the best he could to cover and wrap the large gash on her back.

Jack smiled "You okay?"

Nina quickly hugged him and began to crying into his shoulder. He lightly rubbed the back of her head "Calm down its all alright. I drove the killer off already."

Nina's lips were quivering "Thank you Jack. Without you….I….I would have been dead."

Jack smirked "I mean if I didn't protect you who would be the new queen bee of the school Tatum?  I don't need that drama in my life. After all only one girl can rule the school."

Nina giggled as she dryly said "I'm obviously the best option for it."

Jack nodded "School would be way to boring without all the drama you would cause. Like the video you posted tonight."

Nina's eyes widened "You know that was me?"

Jack sighed "Well you did show us that video. Plus I know about all your hacking escapades."

Nina's eyes widened larger "Wait how do you…(she shook her head) That's not important, please don't tell anyone."

He shrugged "I don't know saving your life and now keeping your dirty secrets."

Nina gripped onto Jack tighter "Jack please."

Jack looked over to see the cops pouring into the house with the paramedics not too far behind. He picked up Nina in a Princess carry "I'll think about it."

He then carried her as the cops opened the backyard door allowing him to enter the house and put Nina on a stretcher. Dewey walked up to Jack "What happened?"

Jack was about to walk towards him and respond but Nina grabbed his arm "Jack please don't leave me."

She looked incredibly scared and worried. Jack turned to Dewey "Is it okay if I go to the hospital with her and you ask me questions there?"

Dewey looked at Nina and then back at Jack as he waved him off "Go ahead. At least tell me where the killer ran."

Jack nodded as he started to walk away with Nina as the paramedics rolled her out "Outside the backyard the killer went through the bushes to the right.l

Dewey nodded "You heard him boys. Let's go hunt a killer."

The rest of the cops nodded as a couple stayed around the house and the rest started to search through the back yard and neighborhood.

Jack then sat in the ambulance holding Nina's hand as she was on the stretcher with a breathing mask over her face. She squeezed his hand looking up at him thankfully.
