Stalking the Prey
The very next morning, Drake went outside the castle's walls and headed for the forest. Near its edge, the wolf was waiting for him. The hazel eyes had a glint that Drake didn't see when Fenris was a human. The elegant white fur covering his neck and limbs faded away in a sea of brown shades. Between his pointy ears, a black stripe stretched from his snout to his back, where it became a mesh of waves pouring on his sides in brighter hues of brown and grey.
Drake petted him between his ears, a gesture that made Fenris move backward till he was out of reach. The Draconian smirked. "I guess Hope already told you what we are going to do today, so let's go and do it already."
As Drake entered the forest, the wolf followed him. The man was wearing a simple white shirt and a pair of pants. At his belt, one could easily spot multiple knives. Fenris shook his head in disapproval. Was this how Drake wanted to teach him to hunt? A wolf couldn't use knives.
