Searching for Solutions

Hope stood in a land of blackness, for this was now her world. A deep orchestra of wailing cries bombarded her mind from every direction. The trumpets of the wind blasted like a cacophony of explosions as the darkness descended upon her.

The veil of water pouring down from the sky didn't let her see more than a few feet away. But Hope did not have to look or hear their screeches and roars to know they were fighting somewhere in the direction she was heading.

She could feel their bloodlust, their eagerness to finish each other. They were both troubled souls, for they made mistakes that no amount of pain could erase. There truly was no point in fighting, but she knew that they wouldn't stop.

Hope didn't know how to show them that neither of them was evil. Nothing is genuinely bad from birth. It all comes down to what we learn, how we feel, and what we encounter. Everything we are is the consequence of what we experience.
