Chapter 81: Who am I?

Many seasons have passed. Seconds turn to minutes, then it progresses to years. Well, time is relative and millennia is just a blink of an eye without an observer. The planet has healed and civilizations flourished once again on the big blue ball of dirt called earth.

Without even noticing, what seems to be a piece of black rock rested in the depths of the pacific ocean. Unaffected by erosion, steadfast in its resting place. Uncaring about the surroundings, as mother nature continues its cycle which what is happening right now.

A giant squid was being hunted by a sperm whale, the tentacled beast tried to hide on the rock, but alas. The whale located it with echolocation and was rammed violently, getting munched as it resisted. Such is the fate of the weak.

The rock budged, and without being anchored on the sea floor. It floated up, seeing sunlight again in thousands of years. Riding the waves until it reached shore, upon making contact with dry land. It stayed there for a few days before shaking for a bit, like an egg that was about to hatch.

The shell cracked and a pale hand came out of it. A human hand, then came the other, and after a while. What looked like a teenager came out of the egg.

He opened his eyes and looked at the bright rays of the sun, soft waves crashing against his feet. The teen knelt on the sand, feeling exhausted, taking a deep breath and sighing. "Wh-where am I? A beach? Wait... I don't even know who I am..." He looked at himself, and he was dressed as the day he was born.

"Woah, why the hell am I naked!?" He looked for clothes and saw some palm trees in the distance. "I can make do with those for now." He felt stronger by the second and climbed the tree to get the leaves, he then weaved them together to create a makeshift shirt and a skirt just to hide his private bits while also taking some coconuts.

"Hmm, but how would I crack this open, as far as I remember. These things are pretty hard." He tried to squeeze it and the coconut cracked like saltine crackers on his fingers. "What in the world?" He clenched his hands and felt amazingly strong, deciding to test it on a tree, he punched it and the log went flying.

"Damn, am I some kind of experiment or something? Sheesh, I even came from an egg of some sort... Maybe I'm a humanoid xenomorph or something." He looked at where he 'hatched' from and thought of useless things.

"Well, I can't keep being here forever. And I don't feel hungry too, but I don't know anything about myself." He looked down on the ground and tried to recall anything about himself, only for nothing to come up.

"1st though, I need to find civilization." He looked at what looked to be a jungle in the distance. "Eh, might as well explore for a bit. Maybe stock up on some food, never know when you'll get hungry." He started to walk, enjoying the salty breeze from the ocean.

He found a wild pig scavenging for some food, sniffing around and digging. "Ooohhh, that would look tasty in some soup. Bear Grylls, I'll make you proud." His body instinctively tensed, ready to pounce like a predator. Leaping at immense speed, the pig didn't even know what hit it. As he crashed onto the unsuspecting animal, hitting it on the head with his fist as it exploded into a red mist.

"Holy shit! That thing's head just exploded!" It dropped down as he looked at his fist, not even a scratch on it. He wanted to make a makeshift cloth using its hide. But he didn't have a sharp object with him as he sighed. "I wish I have a knife or something, don't I have amazing powers? I came from an egg for god's sake." He decided to play for a bit and tried imagining that the boar's skin was cut by gesturing a knife hand. "Woosh! Of course that won't work."

He was disappointed, but he felt something miniscule inside of him come out, the skin of the boar got cut. He got excited and butchered the boar quickly. "Can I make fire too?" He imagined accelerating molecules to create some fire on a log, it ignited and he started to cook the meat of his prey, but it got him thinking. "Wait, am I some kind of scientist or something? Why did I imagine molecules getting excited to create heat... That's not normal. Which means I might be super amazing or something."

He tried fiddling with the strange something inside of him. And he instinctively opened up his inventory, seeing a myriad of items. "Woah, that's it... I'm a fricking isekai protag or something, maybe I lost my memories and the god who reincarnated me gave me these things." Scanning the items, he saw futuristic gadgets and he didn't know what the hell they do.

They were categorized and quickly went to the clothes. He quickly took out a pair of pants, underwear, boots, and a shirt. "Ohhh, these are pretty high quality! I'll check out all of it later, 1st. Let's go on a journey!" He quickly jumped up and saw a way out of the forest.

With his absurd stamina and speed. He then saw a dirt road and followed it for a few hours. Having amazing eyesight that could see things clearly for miles. He spotted a village and went there in high spirits. "Isekai life, here I come! Yahoo!"

A young girl that was wearing a miko outfit was near the river. Picking up herbs and enjoying the surroundings, listening to the flow of water while birds chirped and sang. "Hmmm, she would enjoy these greatly." The girl smiled sweetly and continued her errand.

She then saw a young man with long silver hair, running to the direction of her village with amazing speed. He then saw her, waving at her with a bright smile, unfortunately. He tripped and landed on the river, splashing her. (Pic here)

"Ara, are you alright? Please be more careful, now I am wet and so are you. And who are you perhaps?" She squinted her eyes at him. Making him smile wryly and scratch his head.

"Ahhh, sorry about that miss. I'm a traveller, I came from the west... And my name is Einheri." He noticed that she was wearing a japanese outfit, though it looked like cosplay. As for his name, he found an ID of his from Fire Moth. What the company or organization is, he doesn't know. But it sure beats not having a name. He also spoke perfect japanese, surprising him a bit.

"Weird name... Forgive me for my rudeness, I am Yae Sakura. This is the Yae village, may I ask what is your purpose in coming here Einheri?" She was the miko in training, and someone appearing without even the slightest of luggage was suspicious. It was her job in the future to protect the village, and she can fight even without her blade.

'Damn, I forgot that they'll be suspicious.' "Hahaha, I just tried to find a place with people you see? My luggage was lost in the forest when I was attacked by a wild boar. Luckily, I saw this place, can I go in the village and stay here for a while? I do have gold and gems still to trade." He produced some coins in his pocket from the inventory and took it out.

She eyed him suspiciously, but relented as he was her at her age and didn't really carried any weapons after observing him. "Hah, fine. But you'll be under my watch for now. And I expect your best behavior Einheri."

He gave a wide smile. "Of course! Pleasure to meet you Sakura!" He puffed his chest and held out his hand. "Call me Ein, Einheri just doesn't sound right."

Her brow twitched as he called her 1st name. Then she sighed, not really expecting to know their customs with him being from the west and all. "Good, Ein it is then. Let us go, the sun is setting and beasts may prowl the area at night." She gestured for him to walk in front of her.

"Ohh, good idea. But I gotta say, you look mighty familiar, maybe I know someone that looks like you? But that's a good thing, I feel that you and me will be good buddies." He laughed, walking to the village in high spirits. Excited to explore, making the girl sigh at his antics.

"Maybe, that will depend in your behavior." She cracked a small smile, thinking that he was quite energetic.

Thanks for reading. He has arrived in Yae village and is still fumbling about with his powers. Of course he will be weaker, he reformed himself from the ground up after all, and honkai energy isn't abundant at this time period, he'll need tons of it and we have a source that will come later.
