15 Chapter 15: Turbulent Winds

It's been a couple of months since Mei's birthday party. The couple is still going strong, I chuckle when I remember Kevin doing one of the oldest tricks in the book.

Me and Su were spying on one of their dates so we can try and get some blackmail for Kevin. They were sitting on a bench while seeing the sunset. (Insert pic here).

Mei isn't really the cuddly type and we see Kevin in all his cheesiness. I immediately prepared a camera as Kevin awkwardly raised his arms, seemingly stretching innocently. Then he slowly lowered one of his arms to Mei's shoulder, trying to initiate some contact.

She immediately looked at him like a startled deer caught by headlights. She blinked a few times then pinched his sides. Me and Su smiled viciously as I caught it in Ultra 8k super HD, hehehe. "Kevin's gonna love this very much Su, kekeke." I give Su an face splitting grin.

After that, we silently waited for Kevin in his apartment and set up the TV with his little rom-com scene with Mei. We also gave it a dub so it'd be extra cringy for Kevin. As Kevin returned to an unlocked door in his flat, he instantly became suspicious and he slowly came in. But what he saw blindsided him, the T.V. was on and like the old flicks it had a countdown. Then it showed his date with Mei while they were on a bench, looking at the sunset. At 1st it looked quite romantic, then the dub came in.

Kevin's dub thoughts Voiced by yours truly:

"Ahh, Mei looks so beautiful. But after her party she just doesn't get all cuddly and smoochy! Hah, should I do it? Of course I should! She's just shy after all like a cute wittle animal." Then the video went to his cliche.

Su's dub lines with a cutesy obviously not a girl voice:

"Hmph! Mou Kev-chan you're a daring little one ain't cha? You just can't resist can you? Aren't you a little too obsessed with me? O kawaii koto." (cough, kaguya-san?)

Kev-chan thoughts: "Noooooooooo!!!" As he scooted over then scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

Kevin: "Wha?" Kevin just stood there, frozen and flabbergasted.

Me and Su then popped some confetti and laughed boisterously on his face, catching it all on ultra HD too of course. Gotta let Mei see this too.

Kevin: "You! You guys were spying on us!?" Then he dropped to ground with his hands on his face rolling on the floor like an earth worm sprinkled with salt. We just continued to laugh at him as he glared at us.

Kevin: "Come here you fucking bastards, I'm gonna hit you so hard you'll get amnesia!"

I then bolted with Su under my arms like a sack because we'll surely get caught.

After embarrassing Kevin to no end. I instantly became bored, I can't grind like a greasy fat guy under his parents' basement playing rpg's after all. If I bust out my 1ton weights and bench them in the school gym I'll be like an actor with paparazzi everywhere. Well, not like I'm not popular anyway. I'm titled the king of Senba, while Kevin and Su were princes, it only intensified more when we were in swimming class. Some pervert took pictures and videos of me, clearly focused on my bulge and washboard abs that looked like cut granite.

I surfed some forums in the internet and saw my fans commenting to impregnate them and asking if they can grate cheese on my abs. Even my hair wasn't spared, they were discussing how I keep it so fabulous. Bitch I use top end products just like my man Sephiroth, I need to do his hairdo justice after all. Damn, so this is what popular guys have to go through huh I now sincerely give my condolences to people like Henry Cavill and Chris Hemsworth.

Speaking of the internet, due to my boredom I tried to use my training in music to maybe earn some extra cash or something if some pd see it. I bought a grand piano and those aren't cheap, they have some aged violins here too that was carefully aged through environmental control, due to my impulsive desire to get a stradivarius like violin I bought a pair too. Hah, now I'm kinda running low in my account. Hence, trying to earn more kinda like a passing idea.

I remade some pieces from my past life, like Chopin, Liszt, Beethoven, and Mozart. It was instantly popular and I got a contract to sell it, I was anonymous of course as I am underaged. They still went with it because it was just too good of an opportunity. But one of the things I'd think that was important there is I made an internet friend named Eden. (Insert pic here).

It was just when I was starting to transcript some pieces. Then I thought to do easier ones 1st and made Dearly Beloved, now this one is a classic and has an emotional but calm melody. I started with the piano and violin solos before editing it to the original version. I then posted it in a website that amateur musicians frequent and discuss, kinda like discord or reddit. Then somebody hit me up, an amateur singer that was trying to make it big.

Eden Pov

"Hah, my current agency axed me again. I know I'm picky with my venues and all, but how will I become the best if all the places I perform in are mostly desolate areas. They keep curbing me to the side for the popular singers and musicians, of course they will." She heaved a heavy sigh slightly depressed, thinking that she might not just make it and do a 9-5 job forever as an office lady.

Deciding to take a break and look at forums to maybe find something new. She logged in then started scrolling. At one of the threads in the composer forum she saw a highly rated piece. She listened to it and there it was. A simple piece, slow and smooth. She thought, then after 20 so seconds, the calm melody of the piano accompanied by the string instruments hit her. It sounded like soft waves on the shore, played with such musicality and good intonation. The piece simply gives you calm, but invokes such a strong emotion as if reminiscing the good times.

As she listened to it, she thought of her dream. Why give in now when she was already deep? She silently made a conviction that she'll be the best there ever was (Pokemon! Cough) As the music washes over her like warm summer winds.

After listening to it. She quickly sent the composer a message, thanking them for such a beautiful piece. Saying that as an aspiring artist herself it gave her inspiration to keep on trying because the music reminded her how her dream came to be.

She then smiles as her resolve and motivation has been restored. "Now, how will I make it big without an agency?" She brainstormed.

Back to Ein

Oya, I received a message already? I hope it's an agency or company or something. As he opened the message, he saw it was someone named Eden. Slightly disappointed that it wasn't a producer, he then opened it.

"Hi! Thank you for this beautiful piece that you've created. I'm just an amateur that was quickly losing some motivation. Because of your music, it quickly reminded me of what my dream is. Again thank you, I wish you become successful as well." Eden.

Quickly reading the message, his disappointment vanished. "Hah, now this do puts a smile on my face." He smiled as he thought that it's good this young lady found her path to her dreams again.

He typed a message for her as well. "Hey Eden! My name is Einheri, Thanks for the message. I'm glad that my music inspired you, are you a musician as well? I hope you do become successful too. Maybe I can help? I'm quite good after all as you know haha."

Eden heard a pop up sound and was surprised that the composer replied almost immediately. She read it and she was touched, the last part was a little too smug though. She replied quickly typing away

"Thank you for your kind words Einheri. I mainly do songs, about your help. Maybe we can brainstorm some ways I can get popular? I think that's where I struggle even though I'm good."

Ein: "Well, that is quite the predicament. How good are you at singing though? Sometimes even you're excellent at what you do it just doesn't click."

Eden: "How about I send you some of my songs? The reason maybe I'm not popular is because I've only played at pretty desolate venues with minimal people?" She quickly sent a voice clip.

Ein: He listened to it and was stunned. "Isn't she too good? Damn, her voice is heavenly."

he replied "Ain't this very good already? But I think the reason you're not popular is because of course you're a newbie and your past agency didn't endorse you enough. So even though you might be talked about by the people who saw your performance, and talk to it about their friends, your popularity will take too long to explode until a popular critic or something notices you."

I quickly think about ways, the internet is connected to everyone. How about we take advantage of that? I thought.

Ein: "Eden, take advantage of the populace. I think you should maybe do street performances and let them do the work for you. Your voice is divine, and I think people will record you and it will spread on the internet like wild fire. Unlike if you just post it yourself."

Eden: "Hm, that's a good idea Einheri! I'll let you know if I'm successful!"

Ein: "Umu, I'm glad to be of service. Hey, how about we collab for a bit? I want to make a song but I need female vocals, you'll be the perfect singer I want."

Eden: "Sure! I think with both of us collabing we'd get double the views for sure. Send me the lyrics and the music when you're ready ok? Thanks again for your help."

Ein: "No prob. I'll make it 1st, now that I have a singer, I can proceed. Good luck!"

I then quickly make the melody for a song that I particularly liked back then, it was called See You in the Next World.

Eden quickly planned a performance in a crowded street in Nagazora and with her heavenly voice, she was a showstopper. People crowded her and some even took videos. She then quickly went home and waited. As the hours go by, she was getting quite antsy, but the people delivered. In social media her performance that was posted and shared by a lot of people exploded. Quickly making her popular and the populace thought when and where she will be performing next.

She contacted Ein and was clearly excited, as she spoke on the phone, just like a puppy.

Eden: "Einheri! I saw it! People were all over the video that was posted and now they're all thinking when I will perform again!" She said, quite giddy.

Ein: "Umu, I told you. Good for you, about our collab though. I already finished with the music, let's meet up and record at a studio. I'll rent one."

Eden: "Un, this will be a high quality song huh? Send me the lyrics and I'll practice 1st then let's record."

Ein: "Good, good. Oh, how about we make a music video too? I have a very nice camera. We're going to make you a star! It's perfect timing too, It's winter now and the ambience will fit just righhht."

Eden giggled "What are you waiting for? Send me the files already!"

We quickly talked about the specifics and agreed to meet a few weeks later, she'll try to ramp up her popularity with her street perfomances 1st so she can get noticed by big time agencies.

A few weeks passed by and the city was blanketed white with the pure snow, as I waited in a coffee shop for Eden.

The door's bell rung and a beauty with velvet hair with deep golden eyes entered. She quickly looked around and waited for someone to call to her. She doesn't know how Ein looks after all.

Ein: I took a look at the girl that entered and I was quite taken by how beautiful she is. Especially her deep golden eyes that you can sink in. I quickly raised my hand and waved at her after looking her for a bit. "Eden! Over here."

Eden then looked at me and she was quite surprised. She then walked to me and took a seat. "Einheri? Is that really you?" Quite suspicious.

Ein: "Why? Quite surprised on how I look?" I chuckled "I'm quite handsome no? Don't worry, when I saw you enter I was quite star-struck as well when I saw you. I didn't know that you'll look so much better in person." I gave her a smile, flirting for a bit.

Eden blushed "Thanks, and you sure are handsome. Too pretty in fact, you might just steal my fans if you showed yourself." She counters back.

"Hahaha, you're goddamned right!" I said smugly "Now, how about we drink a cup of coffee first to warm up, then we'll hit the studio?"

Eden: "Haha, you're quite smug aren't cha. Sure, it is quite cold outside."

Ein: "Oh by the way, only the scenes where you show up and sing in the MV is missing. I took some videos already, take a look if you think it's satisfactory."

Eden: "You work fast huh? Efficient and good at what you do. You're quite the charmer ain't you." She smiled.

Ein: "Only for things I'm interested in." I grin at her and flirted back.

We took a cab to get to the studio and we talked a bit.

Eden: "Hey Einheri, how old are you? You told me you were in school, you in college?"

Ein: "Hohooo? Asking for my age, aren't you quite rude? I teased her "Well, I'm a 1st year so I'm 14. And no, I'm not in college I study at senba high. Oh, call me Ein too." Saying the obvious.

Eden: "No way! You look like an adult already! Don't you look too mature? You're huge too. How tall are you? 6'0 something?" She exclaimed, quite surprised.

Ein: "Yeah, I'm 6'1 right now. Ain't it fine that I look mature? Makes me more handsome after all that will charm the ladies, just like you." I smirked at her "How about you? Where do you study?"

Eden: She blushed remembering her stare at the coffee shop. "I'm quite far from Senba, it's like a 30 minute drive away. But that's not important, I'm a 3rd year right now, that's why I was quite worried of not achieving my dream."

Ein: "Oh, so you're 16? You're still young you know, even without my help, I'm absolutely sure you're going to succeed. You have a heavenly voice after all." I winked at her.

Eden gave a wide smile "Still, thank you for helping me Ein. I was in a slump, my agency axed me because I'm picky and they thought I was too egoistical because I had a good voice."

Ein: "You're welcome, I'm happy to help a pretty lady. Oh, by the way, speaking of your good voice, how about we make a nickname for you?" I ponder for a bit and it hit me "How about The Voice of Heaven?" Quite flashy, and the best part is, it's not exaggerated at all no?"

Eden thought about it for a bit. Then she blushed from his compliment "Thank you for thinking that my voice is divine. I think it's good! People will surely search for me more if my alias is so grand." She nodded sagely.

We then arrived at the studio and we recorded the song, it only took a couple of takes and I told Eden that I'll send her the complete one when I finish editing it.

In a span of a few days we also filmed for the music video and it came out very nice. Eden is beautiful after all. The snow contrasts with her golden eyes too making her stand out. The best one though was at sunset where she then looked at the camera illuminated by soft light that made her shine. (like in her picture)

I sent her the completed song and we posted the MV too in social media, with her now new moniker she was the new craze. Saying that her voice truly is divine.

As I look at our views sky rocketing like inflation in Zimbabwe. (they have a 100 trillion bill due to inflation lmao) I received a call from my parents.

"Hey, mom how are you doing? Checking up on me again?"

"I just missed you honey, how about you come home for a bit at break and bring your friends too."

"Hm, that's a good idea mom. I miss you too, I'll talk to them and see if I can bring them there."

"Ohh, I gotta talk about this with your dad. I'm sure he'll be delighted." With excitement in her voice. "Be careful there though, all of you. Honkai beasts have been appearing near Nagazora after all."

"It's just a couple of seraph class mom, even the city guards can take care of them. Thank you for worrying though I love you. Tell dad I said hi too, bye."
