Chapter 122: Prelude to a Union

After seeing the spar of Sushang and Ein. And him sending a copy of her shameful display to Cecilia. Adelheid immediately went to Cecilia in order to prevent her sister from seeing it. She busted their door open and saw Cecilia, engrossed on the television. Repeating Adelheid's video after just finishing it.

"Pft. Ahahahaha! Addy is so cute here. I wish I could see her act like this more often." Addy heard her words and she kneeled on the floor, too late to stop Cecilia from watching it. "Ugh, Damn it all. Ein-san, I'll remember this." She swore to herself that she'll get revenge.

"Stop watching that already Cecilia." Addy then had an idea and she rubbed her hands together. "Kukuku~ you know what? I also asked for you to be trained Cecilia. We will be the best valkyries if we train under Ein-san you know?" She smiled and behind her sweet gesture, she maliciously thought of the training they will undergo.

"Really? You did that for me? Thank you so much Addy!" Cecilia hugged her tightly with a beaming smile. Making Adelheid falter for a moment. They then would start with basic strengthening of their physique with Li Sushang before they start weapons training with Fu Hua.

They arrived at the training fields of Valkyries in Schicksal, and they saw Li Sushang doing one finger hand stand push ups. On a surface that had the same exact size of her fingertip. Any sort of imbalance or shaking would instantly make you eat dirt and break many bones, something that she experienced a lot back then.

"Ohhhh! Is she our teacher Addy!? She's so cool! I don't think I can do that." Cecilia gushed at Sushang and Adelheid observed more clearly. And she knew her new master carried unimaginable weight over her whole body and she was doing her exercise on a platform that tolerated no mistakes whatsoever.

Sushang then finished her set and jumped up, she landed on the ground gracefully and she didn't have any sweat on her. "Yo, it seems you're here Adelheid. And what's this? You also took your sister with you? No matter, the more the merrier right?" She smiled at them and Adelheid shuddered, remembering the training for the 8 gates.

"Yes! Thank you for having us sensei!" Cecilia bowed and excitedly waited for their training. "Ohh, nice smile Cecilia. You're going to be a great student. Now, I will be unlocking the 1st 2 gates and you will have to bear with it." Sushang tapped them at the sides of their heads and they felt amazing.

"Holy moly! It's like my Int stat got multiplied a couple of times." Adelheid saw everything else in a much slower fashion, her brain computed and deciphered information much quicker. "This is amazing! I can see the little bee beat their wings. It's like in slow motion!" Cecilia was very enthusiastic and smiled brightly.

Sushang then let them do whatever they want for now. But, they suddenly started to have problems with their stamina and the both of them felt it after an hour. Impressing Sushang. "You starting to feel it? You're already starting to get tired right?" They both nodded and Addy was even more so as she was carrying 500kgs with her exo-suit.

"Then we start the real training, you won't like this one bit." She tapped them on the middle of their upper chest and their honkai energy exploded. Releasing it in waves like a super saiyan, their skin starting to turn pinker and their muscles and veins popped.

"Ugh, this hurts." Cecilia commented and Addy nodded whole heartedly. Due to her increase in strength, the suit she was wearing suitably increased the weight and she was feeling it hard. Her muscles started tearing and her joints creaked. But the 2nd gate healed the damages in real time.

Except it drained her stamina and honkai energy like a fire hose. They both started panting and Sushang patted them on the back. "Okay, let's go for a light exercise. Give me a 1000 laps around the base for now. Tomorrow we'll be increaseing another 100. Go! Chop chop!" Sushang gestured for them to run around.

They then started their training, or more aptly named. torture.

Cecilia was dead tired and after taking a shower, she was already face down on her bed. Snoring loudly, Addy then reviewed her stats and was surprised that she did not only gain more stats. She also gained levels, confusing her because of it.

"How did I gain levels? Wait a minute, the flame chasers didn't appear much in the world. So they must've got their levels from pure training... Then that means, they are much, much stronger than what the numbers show." She thought that they gain stats with training. And with the quality of training they were getting to incorporate those sick moves, then they are more powerful for sure.

"Damn, I really need to train under Fu Hua soon as well. I can't use my weapon well enough to win the battle in the 2nd war." Addy looked at abyss flower and apologized to it in her mind. As she could only give it blood and some honkai energy. Not wield it properly like the divine weapon it was supposed to be.

She then got more and more suicidal. She decided to enter the emperor class dungeon while she was exhausted. She thought her stats would skyrocket and push her to the limit. Just like how it's supposed to be when training the 8 gates.

Adelheid opened the 1st and 2nd gates. She then stabbed herself with a knife and started forming swords of it behind her back. She now has more control of her honkai energy, due to the 2nd gate constantly making it flow inside their bodies to regenerate and heal.

"Come here you fuckers, I'm tired and I'm in a bad mood. So let's get this over with!" She roared and rained down her blood on them like a lunatic. Relying on her boosts with her battle suit and the 8 gates technique.

Adelheid went out of the dungeon early in the morning. With multiple wounds on her body and a broken arm. She fought with an emperor class Vishnu as the boss, making her thank her luck tremendously that it wasn't the judgement class or Vipralopa class.

But it was still a hard fought battle, even harder than Chiyou who was a glorified punching bag. Chiyou is dangerous to cities and weak citizens. But against a capable combatant that could take it down given enough time. The honkai beast would eventually fall.

Vishnu was vicious, it also wasn't ordinary as it was the boss. It had increased speed, not to mention its savage strength. She barely got out with her life by sacrificing her arm that is now bent the wrong way.

Addy then started healing it up with abyss flower, but a dislocation needs a reduction. Placing it on the correct place so it would heal up nicely and without mobility problems. "Whew, this won't be pretty..." She bit a towel and started to prepare. Breathing in deeply and clenched her teeth hard.

She then pulled her arm back in place. Screaming through her towel from the immense pain. "Hah, hah, fuck! That hurts like a bitch... And my shoulder isn't back in place, great! Can this day get any better!?" She bit the towel again, she then put her rotator cuffs back to where they belong. But it was even worse as the area had many connective tissues and blood vessels.

Addy quickly healed herself with abyss flower and she started having some relief. "Oh my god... I got to be better... I can't continue like this, I calculated my wishes really well. But I forgot I'm bad at math." She frowned heavily and remembered she was a neet.

Fighting with a high spec body won't make you an expert in combat. And she was reminded of it once again. "I haven't even fought S-rank valkyries... Hell, Cecilia is even better than me in combat..." She got depressed and looked at her sleeping sister.

She then went to sleep to forget her problems for now and get some rest, as she was even more exhausted than Cecilia.

Addy then woke up to an alarm, she only had 3 hours of sleep, but that was enough she thought. "Come on Addy, it was very tiring and hard. But I feel stronger already! Let's train some more!" Cecilia beamed on her and it gave the exhausted Adelheid that was starting to get burned out strength.

"Okay, let's go then." They had a huge meal in the cafeteria of HQ and they ate as much as they could without the amount being bad for their exercise. They then met up with Sushang again, but Hua was also with them and she nodded at the twins.

"Yo, Hua here is with me today. Because Addy over there absolutely sucks ass with fighting. And I didn't have problems learning anything, was just a bit immature. So she'll shape you up to a fighting machine!" Sushang gestured for Adelheid to come closer to Hua, while Cecilia would be trained to the ground by increasing her physical might as much as possible.

At the Kaslana house, the current scion of the knights of Schicksal. A teen that felt restricted inside his own home. He was watching some anime about Arahato, a mecha that was like a ninja. And he had numerous gundam figures in his room.

"It's so boring here... Strict rules, stuffy people. I hate it here." He thought of the life in the Kaslana house which is like how nobility lived. Annoying and full of rules and regulations. He then had an idea, it was to flee. His simple mind told him to do so, to go outside the Kaslana house and chase his dreams in exploring the world.

So he quickly packed up and looked over the city nearby that he could see at their estate. "Heh, this is too easy. I wonder if I could be a ninja like Arahato or something?" He thought of the ninja mech that would go invisible.

The young teen then jumped out of their estate. Relying on his sturdy body that the Kaslanas have to escape without injury. "Woohoo! Freedom, here I come!" He shouted boisterously, he then quickly travelled to the nearest city so he could escape his would be chasers when they find out he isn't in his room.

At afternoon, his mother knocked on his door to wake her lazy son up. "Siegfried, why aren't you up yet? You do know that today is your etiquette classes right? Sieg, Sieg..." She then busted the door open. And the room was empty.

"Oh no, he ran away." She immediately called for help and a search for the runaway teen. But he has already flew away from the country to explore the world.

Ottilie was furious that the kid ran away. But his mother begged her not to hunt him down. And the nail on the coffin is that Adelheid requested her not to as well. Surprising her, as Adelheid has never asked for anything except for more experiments and to wield abyss flower.

And after a couple of years. Adelheid has finally received her mission that would be the start of the 2nd honkai war.

"Adelheid dear, you're the paladin of Schicksal now. As Ein doesn't want any of the Odin and friends squad to inherit the position unfortunately." Ottilie winced from saying Ein's squad as she thought it was ridiculous.

"And I'll be giving you and Cecilia an important mission. And that is to capture their sovereign that has been a pain on our behind for decades." Ottilie gave Adelheid a folder that would tell her about the operation.

She already knew what it was, so she accepted it without even looking. "I accept, I will tell Cecilia about this mission later." Adelheid confidently said, pleasing Tilie greatly.

"Good, onwards then. You'll sortie with squad snowwolf after a few days." She gestured her to go and Adelheid left, thinking that it's almost near.

Tilie then sat down on her chair and drank a glass of wine immediately. Massaging her temples as she sighed. "Ein my old friend, I am getting tired. Why do you play with me so?" She remembered the Kaslana that came with him to Schicksal.

Looking exactly like Kallen. And she even had the same name. "Who is she? I know she died that day... Theresa is the proof of it. And she also said it. That line with the same smile on her face." She frowned heavily when she thought of Kal-en's words.

"Let's save the world. Huh?" Tilie almost broke down to tears when she heard it. With the same tone, same bright smile, same face, same optimism.

She then stood up and opened the window. Looking at her front yard with a toy plane in hand. The same one that she made when she met Kallen that fateful day.

"Ein... You always know what I should do next. Why don't you give me the thing that I really want? I'd give my life for it, please... Just to know that she would live." Tilie whispered and threw her plane. But it got swept up by winds and fell down on the ground.
