12 Chapter 12: Life Goes On

As Mei is now gone in school, after just another day at class I've decided instantly that I should just get home schooled. My parents already know that attending primary school doesn't have any benefits for me anyway. Mom tried to argue that I have to make more friends, but I just told her Mei is enough for now and other normal kids just aren't quite intelligent enough for me.

After my counter arguments and some coaxing with the all powerful puppy dog eyes jutsu, they agreed without a hiccup. Well then, now that I'm not preoccupied with school, I'll just be grinding some stats and new skills to the limit without showing my parents impossible feats for my kid body.

After a year, as I was doing sprints while weighing my self down with home made weights I made. A wild white haired boy suddenly appeared, he crashed into me because he was fighting with another kid that has light gray hair

They were pushing each other with increasing force until the white haired kid stumbled and was gonna have a pretty nasty fall. Of course as a past doctor, might as well not let this kid possibly have broken bones or a concussion or something.

I was currently packed to the brim with weight, I had a 100 lb vest with pockets filled with lead ingots. Little squares 3 inches across and 2 inches thick, I currently have 12 blocks in my vest that I ordered made specifically for me. I have tons of money after all, My parents gave me a separate account so they don't really know what I buy, They don't check too. Being smart really is good. At my 4 limbs they are with 25 lbs, it really was a brilliant idea on my part, now I can run without looking like an olympian athlete as a 10 year old looking kid.

Then, he crashed into me. Thankfully his momentum wasn't high enough or he'll plant his mug on metal plates.

Ein: "Hey dude, you alright?" Imma call you white for now.

White: "Ugh, thanks! I suddenly stumbled, if you didn't caught me I would've face planted on the ground!" He said laughing. "I'm Kevin by the way, who are you? Me and Su play here a lot and we haven't seen you before."

Su:"Hey! Kevin, you alright? Thanks for catching him, we would've been in trouble if he got hurt."

I laughed at Kevin's casualness "No problem, just didn't want to see him kiss concrete." I shrugged.

Kevin: Hey! I resent that! I maybe would've done an awesome ninja flip before I fell." He stated, quieter at the end.

Ein: "Alright, suuuuureee. Anyway, I'm Einheri by the way, call me Ein. Kevin, Su, nice to meet you guys."

Su: "Hah, you and your antics again Kevin. Nice to meet you as well Ein, as you heard from him." as he points at Kevin with irritation. "I am Su." He introduced.

"Well, why were you guys fighting anyway?" I asked

Kevin: "Ha! This girly Su said that I don't look like I'll achieve my dream. Can you believe this guy?" He exclaimed.

Su: "Well, you have short legs Kevin, and you're pretty skinny as well. You do know that athletes got to have standard body proportions to excel right?" He explained.

Kevin: "I just haven't grown up yet! We're still 7 after all. I'll be the best runner in the world, you'll see!"

Looking on at their conversation, I intervened for a compromise "Su, you're right about that." Then he gave Kevin a smug look saying told you so. "But, you're not just absolutely correct either. Kevin has a valid point, he might not be that short when middle school comes and beyond you know? The human body is quite complex after all, and we stop growing approximately at 18."

Kevin gave me an appreciative smile "I told you Su, even though you're aiming to be a doctor, we still don't know if everything is set in stone." He concluded.

Su: "Alright, alright. We'll just wait until we grow up I guess." He shrugged.

Deciding to take a break, I guess talking to them won't hurt. They're kinda funny too, Kevin is quite the passionate kid and Su is calm and observant. I guess opposites do attract?

As we walked through the park talking about ourselves for a bit, I learned that Su has a medical background in his family, that's why he's interested in medicine. Kevin is quite energetic and I guess he has a lot of energy to burn? Well, at least they have something they want to do. When I was their age I had nothing I wanted except reading novels, games, and anime after all. I silently reminisced.

Ein: "So Su, you said you wanted to be a doctor? Why though exactly? Being a doctor is quite difficult, and going into it without a proper reason except 'background' might burn you out."

Su: "Well, I once saw some cases my family brought home and the patient was irradiated with honkai. I read there that they were in immense pain and ultimately die with overwhelming suffering." The mood becoming somber.

Ein: I tapped his shoulder while saying "That's an admirable goal Su. I guess there's no need to worry about you becoming an excellent doctor." I smiled at him.

Kevin: "I didn't know you thought like that Su. But, as Ein said I also think you'll be the best! Just like me." He laughed lightening the mood.

"Hahaha, Kevin, Su. How about I help you guys? Su, we have a lot of literature that can be useful! When you don't understand something, 2 brains is better than one too. I am quite interested in medicine as well. Kevin, I'm actually attending a dojo around here. Why don't you become a student as well so we can physically train your body 1st? Then specialize when you grow up?"

Kevin: "Ooh, that might just be good." Clear excitement in his eyes.

Su: "Okay Ein, why don't we meet up at this park every few days?" He suggested, quite interested as well.

Ein: "Umu, then inform your parents and sometimes we could hang out at my house. We can use a lot of things from my home."

Well, it's quite boring without talking to anyone else besides mom and dad. They are pretty interesting I guess, might as well befriend them. Mom has been on my case for a while now too, saying I need more friends than Mei. 2 birds with one stone then, or maybe 3 because I now have someone to train with? More fun either way seeing Kevin squirm due to training hehehe.

"Yosh, give me your contacts guys. We're gonna have a lot of fun!"

Hey guys, thanks for reading. 2 important characters again. I'm gonna give a time skip until high school, because the big event happens when they are at high school.

I've fleshed out their backgrounds to explain their later achievements, basically how Kevin got quite athletic and charming because of his passionate personality. Su with his calmness and maturity due to an early eye opener about the effects of honkai, and his goal to cure it.
