41 Chapter- 41 : Toy Story

"Fear factor?" asked Robert.

"That's right, the fear factor. It's a phenomenon where people can do extortionary things when they feel fear. And I made a draft of a game show based on that." saying that Ric gave him a file.

Robert took the file and found out it's a draft of a reality game show titled "FEAR factor" and started reading out.

This is originally a game show adapted by NBC from a dutch game show and first aired in 2001. The game runs for 7 seasons. It was also aired in and adopted by many countries.

The game is basically where participants face their fears through different challenges in exchange for a grand prize.

After reading the outline and the rules of the game, Robert exclaimed,

"Wonderful idea boss, this will definitely be hit with the audience."

"That's good and all, but the main question is, can you make the idea into a reality," said Ric while tapping the file.

"No problem at all. In fact, finishing all the preparations, it can be aired from this year," replied Robert confidently.

"Great!!! But keep the budget for the first season in between 15-20 million. And make sure to take all the precautions." Ric replied happily but being cautious.

"Don't worry, boss. Leave it to me." Robert assured.

Ric stood up, listing to him. Seeing him stand, Robert also stood up. Then they both got out of the room while Ric said,

"Well, my work is done here. I hope it didn't create any inconvenience with your work."

Robert opened the door for them while said,

"Not at all, boss. In fact, I will be more than happy if you can bring more of this."

Ric smiled and said,

"Patience Robert. Have some patience. You don't want to eat more than you can chew. "

"Of course, I am just stating my wish." Replied Robert.

They came in front of the lift, Ric got in. Before the door closes, he said,

"Don't worry. It might come true in the future."

"Then, I will be waiting for it," Replied Robert as the door of the lift about to close.

After the door closed, Robert smiled giddily with the prospect of a new project and left to work on it while Ric got in his car left.

"Danny go to Pixar studio," commanded Ric when getting in the car.

Daniel nodded and started the car. They promptly left for Pixar Studio

In the car, Ric saw Sofie wants to say something but holding back,

"Do you want to say something, Sofie? You are boring quite a lot of hole in my body with your gaze."

"Ummm... I was just wondering where do you get all these kinds of ideas," replied Sofie while getting embarrassed for being found out.

"Are you questioning my creativity or are you accusing me of ripping some off." teased Ric with a mock glare.

"No..NO... I was just... just..." Sofie tried to explain but was interrupted by a burst of laughter from Ric, who saw her like that.

"Hahaha... look at you... I was kidding... In fact, these ideas are not uncommon. A lot of people have this kind of idea but what they lack is power or a platform to make it into a reality." Ric explained.

"So, that's where you come in. You have both power and platform to make it happen," said Sofie.

"Exactly. Sometimes all you need is power and ability to make your work easier," replied Ric.

Saying that Ric looked outside and thought about himself.

'I have come so far. So, many things have changed. I wonder how much of my future knowledge is still useful. And wonder what will my future be like. But beggars can't be choosers, can they? I am happy that I got another chance.'

Ric then smiled, Sofie as well as Daniel, got curious about the smile.

Looking at their curiosity, he smiled even more and kept looking outside.

It's true with each time Ric moved butterfly effect occurred. Although, changes were quite small or negligible. Some big changes are also seen like,

Ric getting Columbia stopped Sony in its track form getting a Film company as well as the music industry.

Nintendo's market domination is not as powerful as previously.

Viacom didn't get that large as it was previously.

Feather Inc became the largest competitor with News corp throughout the world.

The biggest change is that Pixar was established faster than previously and will be bringing 3D animation to the market much earlier.

Pixar studio, meeting room.

Three men and a lady is sitting in front of a TV screen watching an animation.

They are watching toys come back to life and interacting with themselves when people are not around.

Seeing how the main character, a cowboy toy named Woody gets jealous of a new toy named Buzz lightyear.

The story progresses with Woody out of jealousy accidentally pushes buzz out of the house. But later, he was pushed out by others to save him.

And thus, the journey of the two toys begins for coming back home. On their journey, they reconcile and become friends while Woody fixes his jealousy issue.

But a twist came, their owner is shifting, but they don't have time. And after a climactic car chase, they finally reached their destination.

"I have to say, Edwin and John, you guys made a wonderful 3D computer-animated feature-length film," Ric said after finished watching it.

Hearing him both Edwin Catmull the CEO of Pixar and John Lasseter the director of this film named <Toy Story> both had a smile on their face.

"But the main question is how long will it take for you to edit this into a release version of it," Ric said the main point.

The reason Ric came today was to see the original film before the editing of the release version.

"Few tweaking needs to be done before the final editing. After that, the film will be ready to be released. And if I have to estimate, it will take at least next year for the film to be released." said John.

"Well, that's good to hear. But don't rush it, I want a beautiful finished product," replied Ric.

"Of course, we will make sure the final version is more perfect than this," replied Edwin.

"Well, Gentlemen, you finally have proven your ability, But this is not over yet, I will increase funding depending on how much the film is received well in the market and your efficiency in making the next film." declared Ric.

"Yes, Boss!!!" responded both of them together.

"Keep up the good work," with this line, Ric left the office.

"Where to now Ric," replied Sofie after coming out of the office.

"Now Drew's home. I have promised her a date today." Ric answered while getting in the car.
