Chp 31 : Room? Shambles?

The Academy Awards ceremony has just begun, after the performance by Quincy Jones, the host Johnny Carsons took the stage and made some opening jokes to lift the atmosphere.

He made some light jokes about today's film nominees and some sarcastic harmless jokes about some Hollywood stars like Brooke Shields who plays the first woman astronaut.

Or thanking God that Michael Jackson canceled his plan to make his own movie as Prince did on his upcoming movies <Purple Rain>.

Then he called Shirley Temple who got the lifetime awards of the first Academy Juvenile Awards in 1935 to give the awards for best original music.

The next award is for Best Supporting Actor and Al is one of the nominees, of course, he is nervous.

Timothy Hutton & Mary Tyler Moore came to the stage and read the Best Supporting Actors nominees.

One of the 5 cameras was pointing at Al as the nominees and the audience at the theatre and home are confused with this scenery.

They are confused at the screen that shows a handsome man and written below is "Alphonse Brandt".

Al who played Cole is already stepping on a puberty period and he became so good looking.

The viewers of the Oscar award in North America were stable at 40 million viewers, but when they show Al as nominees, it spiked to 50 million and keep growing.

Too bad that in this competition, Jack Nicholson was winning as the Best Supporting Actors. The rating dropped and stabilized at 45 million.

Leslie Mann, Al's first fan was sitting in her home watching the broadcast on ABC channel with her cousin.

Because of some accident that involved her parents, they were split out and she followed her mother to San Francisco. But she has gained some friends here and made Al fan clubs with her friends at her school.

She has dreams to follow Al and became a Hollywood Actress, so she joined her school's theatre and of course did not forget to search for information about Hollywood, especially about Al.

When she saw Al on TV with his transformation, she screamed.

"For God's sake, quiet down Les!!" Her mother screamed from the kitchen.

"But Al was there, on TV and he is so handsome, look!!" She saw Al who congratulated Jack Nicholson.

Al fans across the globes were screaming Al's name when they saw him.

The Academy Awards continues, the awards that Al was waiting for is finally here.

Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek came to the stage to announce the best original and adapted screenplay.

When Sissy read the nomination, ABC decided to show the nominees' faces because of the rating increase caused by Al's appearance.

Sissy continues "And the winner for best original screenplays..." The whole world becomes silent.

Sissy wondered how, but she feels the tense atmosphere when she opened the envelope, her hands were shaking and it seemed became harder to open it.

She saw the name and took a deep breath "... <The Sixth Sense> by Alphonse Brandt."

Boom!! The theatre in shock, the audience at home cheered, the new history has been made as to the youngest screenwriter in Academy Awards history at age 13 years 10 months.

In the future, the records will be broken by Ben Affleck when he was 25 years old, but now Al got it when he was 12 years younger than him.

Everyone congratulated him and giving him standing applause, dubbed him as the youngest screenwriter in history.

Al took the trophy from Mel and finally began his speech.

Al give a hearty smile and said, "Wow, it is..... shiny." audience laughed at his remarks.

"I never expected to win this awards, you know because I haven't grown any hair in some places." another laugh was heard.

"But really, thanks for the Academy Awards judges, my 2 caretakers who I considered as my mother and sister, Katherine Harris and Mary Gárcia, my fellow siblings in the orphanage, my Godfather Steven, my agents Ari, Robert Zemeckis, Tom Hanks, my mother in this role Mrs. Sigourney Weaver, and the whole crew of <The Sixth Sense>." He said it with the brightest smile that anyone can see.

"Also for you Johnny Carsons who hosting this show with someone beside you that did not speak from the beginning, you both did a great job!" Some people confused heard this, but when they realized what Al was meant to, they gave another laugh and applause.

"Okay² I'm just kidding, thank you...." He planned to leave the stage but come again and look to Johnny Carsons and whispered in the microphone, "Johnny... I see dead people." Another laugh and cheers were heard in the theatre and home.

Johnny who has been teased by Al's horror jokes also gave out a laugh and claps his hands.

The Academy Awards rating spiked again to almost 65 million in North America.

After giving his speech, the Academy Awards continue giving the awards, too bad that from the 7 nominations, <The Sixth Sense> only won 2 for Best Original Screenplay and Best Editing, a consolation award.

While Best Actor held by Robert Duvall, Best Director for James L. Brook and Best film won by <Terms of Endearment>.

Although <The Sixth Sense> is a great film, too bad it's a horror film with good box office returns. Academy Awards always hated horror or sci-fi films that got a good box office result.

Academy Awards ended with an Ethel Merman tribute and all of the winners go into the stages include Al and he was needed backstage to carve his name in his trophy.

American loves partying, that also include the Hollywood stars who could attend the party every day, so after the awards, Al was invited to one of Oscar's party night.

In the future, 1993 exactly the must-go party after the Academy Awards is called Vanity Fair Party, that held by that magazine. Before that, there is no official name, only after Oscar's party.

Al met with his Godfather Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Robert Zemeckis who also came to congratulate him.

He also met with his other God sibling, a girl name Gwyneth Paltrow who still 12 years old. She also congratulated him and made small talk with him.

From a few talks, he could confirm that she already had a princess syndrome, although not visible yet. Imagine to see a real-life Sansa Stark, so Al just gave her a polite smile and hurriedly escaped from her delusional conversations.

The preparation of <Back to the Future> has been completed and the shooting will start in early July, only waiting for the Universal investment.

The Birthday party is over and everyone decided to call it a day and go to their own room, except Drew. She kinda sticks with Al since the last accident and always sleeps in his room, if not busted by Mrs. K or Mary.

But tonight is a little bit different, when Al was sleeping, he woke up in a white room.

When he tried to find the exit, a single shelf with a single book appeared in front of him.

Then he takes the book and opens it, and he got an idea about how his Mind Library works. It contains all the books that ever recorded physically, until 2022 his death day.

He tries to think about books from the middle ages, another shelf appeared with hundred of contents within it.

He tries another by thinking about how to get rich in the 90s, another shelf appeared but the content only filled about the financial record of the company in 1990 to 1999, not how to do it.

The library shows what he wants and he must read it, not touching it to get all the knowledge, also his mind is not an internet or Google.

Luckily, he got this eidetic memory and bright mind since his transmigration. But the minus side is the photographic memory activate AFTER rebirth, not BEFORE, so he didn't remember every detailed event in his previous life.

Well, at least he could be a scientist if he failed in Hollywood and get a Nobel prize.
