Chp 30 : Award Parade?

Tonight is a Golden Globe Awards, Al will be walking on the red carpet with Drew again. After the conflict that happened between Drew and her parents, Drew was always chased by paparazzi and reporters when she was going out of the orphanage, so she always stays in there to hide for a while.

Jaid who has been divorced from John D. Barrymore has visited Drew thrice a week. Although Drew was still reluctant to see her, she has agreed to see her mother sometimes.

Spielberg also always came to the orphanage to learn to interact with kids. Maybe he is serious about marrying Amy and having a kid.

Al has grown a lot these days, his height already reached an average adult height of 170 cm and still growing, now he was wearing a black Armani suit and towering over Drew who wears a blue sky frilly dress and her hair tied in a ponytail with a blue ribbon.

They walked into red carpets and took some interviews, although they ignored some uncomfortable questions, and deep down Al really wanted to prank these reporters and paparazzi just like Sacha Baron Cohen did in Dictator's uniform.

The Golden Globe Awards held in Hilton Hotel, while in the lobby, he met with many Hollywood stars.

He looked after Drew while talking with others, then he meets his crus .... friends.

"Jodie!!" He called her

"Al? No way!? You ... grow?" She said while making a random gesture.

"So, Am I able to pursue you now?" He said while smiling.

"Kid, did you want me captured by the FBI?" She said while knocking on Al's temple. "Hello to you too Drew, how are you this day?"

"I'm fine Jodie," She said and hid behind Al.

He rubbed his temple and said, "But I didn't hear you saying no... anyway, I'm sorry about your movie last year, but I heard you sing very well in there."

Jodie Foster starred in a musical film called <Svengali> that tells about rock singers but after 20 days of filming, the director had a near-fatal car crash and CBS decided to screen it on TV while randomly edit it.

"Thank you, Al, it is a shame that the movie didn't finish filming, but in compensation, I starred in 2 movies last year and will be screened this year in March and August."

"Really? That's great, I'm glad then. Tell you what, you know that my dream is to become a director right?" She nodded at Al.

"Then, can I have the honor to invite you to the first independent movie that I'll be directed? It will start filming at least about 1 or 2 years."

"Let's just see, as long as the pay satisfied me."

"Don't worry, is a cup of coffee okay?" He smirked.

"Cheeky brat, Let's go the awards will be started." She smiled and took Al's arm, currently in Al's hand, two goddesses were holding his arm. One adult Goddess and one little Goddess.

"Oh, How is Mary? She has not returned my call for a while." Then Al's step was stopped.

Since the 1982 New Years Party, Mary and Jodie have been so close, sometimes they were having a telephone call or just shopping together at weekend.

Al knew what Jodie's preference is, although has not made it public yet, but for Mary? He feels that he needs to protect his big sister so she won't be stolen, but he likes Jodie too, as a FRIEND!

"Well she has been busy, she accepts my offer to becomes the CEO of my Muspelheim Films and she is cleaning up a mess from her old office and trying to learn about the entertainment industry."

Because of Mary's insistence, she wanted to learn the film and TV industry from the beginning so she requested to try in Muspelheim Films position first.

"She wants to enter Hollywood? That's great, I can teach her some, I've been in Hollywood since I'm 2." She said, and Al could she the slight star in her eyes.

He felt he needs to change the topics, it's getting dangerous, "Oh look Jodie, Drew, the award will begin!"

The Golden Globe Awards went smoothly, too bad Al didn't win anything, maybe because of the age factors.

He just hanged his hope in the Academy Awards nomination announcement and sees if he will be nominated.

Jodie said farewell and hoped to meet again at the Academy Awards.

In February, The Oscar nominee will be read by Jennifer Beals, one of the rising actress.

Al is coming to Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, where the Academy Awards will be held and the nominee will be announced.

Jennifer Beals took out the paper and read the nominees, the first time is for Best Supporting Actor and Al's name was mentioned by her along with the other nominees like Jack Nicholson, Sam Shephard, Charles Durning, and John Lithgow.

Al got another nomination, even better than before which is the Oscar Award. Then she continued to read and reached out for the best original screenplay.

"The Best Original Screenplay nomination <Fanny and Alexander>, <Silkwood>, <Tender Mercies>, <The Big Chill> ...." Al became nervous, still no sign of his script, then Jennifer spoke again.

"... <The Sixth Sense>!" She said a bit louder, it seemed Al has a fan in the Hollywood actress circle.

After he heard that his script got the nomination, he released his breath.

"Fuyoh, that's intense." If he could win this, he would become the youngest winner of the best screenplay.

He will be focused on the publication for winning the best screenplay, for supporting actor, the enemies are too strong and have more experiences.

As you know, to get an Oscar nomination depends on skill, but to win, it depends on luck, political correctness, and publication to the judges of Academy Awards.

Oscar Award is also a kind of game that finding out how to make your name sticks in those Academy Awards Judges' heads by using positive propaganda, promotions, and publications.

<The Sixth Sense> got a nomination for best films, best directors, best editing, best cinematography, best actor, a total of 7 nominations.

Jennifer Beals has finished reading all of the nominees, Al who had no business anymore is going back to the orphanage.

Al also comes to Universal Studios to check out the audition of the other casts and also got an invitation for Robert Zemeckis's new films that were released in late March.

When he came to the audition, he saw a familiar face. Short black haired woman with a face that can be said really beautiful and photogenic.

When Al checked her name to make sure it's right, Courteney Cox, yep that's her still in her 20.

"You interested in her Al? We can see her audition first then we can decide." Robert teased Al who in trance after seeing her profile.

"Don't be kidding Robert, she's 6 years older than me. I'm not legal yet, although she is really beautiful and had these exotic looks."

The audition began and Al took a seat behind the casting director so he can be hidden from the participant's sight.

When Courteney Cox appeared, she stole Al's attention and Robert realized this. But unfortunately, her acting is a bit lacking and too green but she had a good foundation.

Although this was a commercial film, since Robert got his first nomination for Oscar, he took all of the actor's performance seriously.

In a previous life, because the actor's fame is too strong and Universal's producer interference, Robert's role as director was suppressed.

But since <The Sixth Sense> gave Universal a box office success, he got a stronger position as director and also supported by Spielberg as his producer.

Seeing Al's interest in her, he decided to give Courteney a role as Jeniffer Parker, Martin McFly's girlfriend, although she will only be got a few lines and screen time.

Al left early and didn't continue to see the rest of the audition but from what he saw before, the rest of the cast is the same as in his previous life.

Now Al was going to attend the 56th Academy Awards that will be held on 9th April.

On D-day, Al walked on red-carpet again but this time he was alone.

Drew has no invitation to attend, although she can get it easily she prefers to watch it with her new family in the orphanage.

Tonight, Al has become one of the top spotlights because he became the youngest best screenplay nominations in the Academy Awards.

When he gets out of the car, a lot of flashlights flood him.

Al will be 14 in 2 months and he almost lost his baby fat and his handsome mature appearance can be distinguished.

Fans who come in Dorothy Chandler to get the chance to see the Hollywood star was shocked after seeing Al especially the females.

His handsome features that fulfill their aesthetic plus his clear amber eyes left a deep impression on them.

In Golden Globe Awards, because Al is very low-key before and has not won any awards, so only a few people realize his presence.

But in Academy Awards, with many television stations, tabloid, newspaper, and other media, Al's new look will be further known.

After walking on red carpets, he meets many Hollywood stars that complimented him.

He greeted Steven and other directors and looking for a seat with <The Sixth Sense> crew. Unlike Golden Globe who more like a banquet party, Oscar has the same seat arrangement as in the theatre.

He greeted Tom Hanks, Sharon Stone, Sigourney Weaver, and Robert. Have a nice talk with them until the 56th Academy Awards begin by opening the performance of orchestra by Quincy Jones.
