Chapter 351: Dont Make Me Shoot

The black stretch limousine cruised along Coty Road toward the south hillside, with three individuals sitting inside who were anything but gentlemen.

The eldest among them inquired, "Leo, what gift have you brought?"

Leonardo gestured toward Martin and declared, "I've bestowed him upon the star of today's party. It's undoubtedly the finest gift."

Nicholson contested, "No, this is my gift. You'll have to find something else."

Martin interjected, "Have you two scoundrels considered my opinion in all of this?"

"Because you are the most hypocritical one," Leonardo sneered. "You might have said no, but deep down, you're pleased."

Nicholson concurred, "Leo, it appears we've reached a consensus."

Martin replied icily, "How could individuals like you, who lack principles, consider giving me away?"

Leonardo recalled a previous drunken exchange where Martin had uttered similar words, leaving an impression, "You indeed have principles but never initiate, never decline, never take responsibility."

Martin's tongue remained as sharp as ever, "That's also a principle and a bottom line. I'm a good person, while you two are unprincipled scoundrels."

As they ascended the southern hillside, they could see lanterns adorning Olson's residence from afar.

The driver presented the invitation letter, and the Lincoln was granted entry into the mansion.

The three Martins disembarked and entered the villa, where they were greeted by the Olsen sisters accompanying Elizabeth Olsen as they welcomed guests in the foyer.

Elizabeth, upon seeing Martin, was overcome with excitement and instinctively approached.

Martin took the initiative, handing over a gift and wishing, "Happy birthday."

Elizabeth accepted the gift, eager to open it but restraining herself, and expressed her gratitude, "Thank you."

Martin introduced the two scoundrels behind him, stating, "Jack and Leo, you ought to be acquainted."

Leonardo and Nicholson presented their respective gifts and wished, "Happy birthday."

Elizabeth graciously received the gifts and responded, "I'm thrilled that you could make it."

Nicholson added, "We heard that you and Martin shared the experience of the Burbank incident, helping people out, which is impressive. You and Martin are friends who've been through thick and thin. For us and Martin, we're the best of friends. We had to attend your birthday party."

Sister Mori also approached to express her gratitude.

The other guests, primarily friends of the Olsen sisters, were ecstatic when they witnessed the trio of scoundrels entering the hall simultaneously. They quickly surrounded them.

Voices of envy filled the air around Elizabeth.

"Elizabeth, Leonardo and Martin Davis are here to celebrate your birthday!"

"That's Nicholson, the Oscar winner, a legend!"

"Your birthday party is already legendary."

Eighteen-year-old girls were at the peak of their star-chasing phase. They gazed at Martin and Leonardo with stars in their eyes.

Elizabeth had little vanity, but this was the ultimate affirmation for her.

After all, which girl doesn't dream of being the star of her school?

The three Martins graciously posed for photos with the eager youngsters before joining the Olsen sisters in the adults' section.

Most of the people here were friends of the Olsen sisters, and when the trio of scoundrels put on their best behavior, they appeared as the most refined and polite gentlemen.

Just like the British Empire's gentlemen, they projected one image on the surface while harboring other thoughts beneath.

The party proceeded as usual: well-wishes, cake-cutting, making wishes, and then a lively celebration.

Despite some playful girls attempting to flirt with Martin and the others, they were no fools and maintained a safe distance from anyone with questionable intentions.

In Los Angeles, there were no shortage of cautionary tales involving exorbitant payments to settle matters.

After the cake was distributed, Elizabeth discreetly approached Martin for a private conversation in a corner.

"Do you have any plans after this?" she inquired.

Martin responded honestly, "No, I'll head home after your party."

Elizabeth gazed at Martin, reminiscing about their time at Burbank Middle School.

From that day forward, Martin had been her hero.

Elizabeth made a request, "Can you head home and wait for my call?"

Martin upheld his principles, "You can call me anytime."

Elizabeth beamed with a particularly sweet smile, "I've had your number memorized for a long time."

On the other side, Leonardo had finished his conversation with others, found Nicholson, and discreetly gestured at Martin and Elizabeth.

"Something's not right," he mentioned.

"There's something brewing," Nicholson added with a knowing grin. "A young girl in her prime, saved by a handsome Hollywood man, secretly pledged her gratitude. How do you think she should repay her savior?"

Leonardo teased, "Aren't you the one who's always longing for romance?"

Nicholson, with confidence, retorted, "I've lived through sixty years of life and experienced every type of love story. For someone as devious as Martin, if he stands in front of a woman, I'll read his mind."

Leonardo commented, "Keep an eye on him discreetly and wait for the opportunity. I sense something significant is about to transpire tonight."

Nicholson offered a word of caution, "Idiot, don't use your tired three-step approach. Showcase your acting talents. Don't tell me that you've made no progress in all these years."

Leonardo couldn't make any guarantees; the three consecutive maneuvers had become almost instinctive for him. So, he simply stated, "I'll attempt to stay quiet for a while and pretend to be fatigued."

Both of them had been silently observing Martin.

Following Elizabeth's advice, the Olson sisters decided to end the party early.

As Martin bid farewell and departed, he was genuinely surprised that these two troublesome individuals, Nicholson and Leonardo, hadn't stirred up any trouble.

Once inside the Lincoln, Martin inquired, "Do you two not have other plans?"

Leonardo closed his eyes and leaned back in the car seat, too indifferent to engage with Martin.

Nicholson replied, "Aren't you hosting your friend's birthday party?"

Martin glanced at Leonardo, who was preoccupied with his own thoughts, and then turned his attention to Nicholson, who seemed entirely nonchalant.

Nicholson lowered the partition and instructed the driver, "First, take Martin home, and then head to Brentwood to see Leo."

The driver steered the car down Coty Road.

They soon arrived at Martin's residence. Nicholson tapped Martin and suggested, "Get out of the car. If you're free tomorrow night, let's have a drink together."

"Sure, I'll give you a call," Martin agreed before exiting the vehicle and walking into his home alone.

Worried about what those two troublemakers might do, he discreetly lingered behind the door for a while. To his relief, he saw the Lincoln drive away and quickly disappear.

As the Lincoln exited the Coty community, another car, a regular Volvo, had been waiting on the roadside.

Leonardo stepped out of the car and remarked, "How did I do this time?"

Nicholson, never one to understate his acting prowess, retorted, "You were exceptional in the feigned exhaustion scene!"

The two of them then reentered their vehicle and promptly returned to the Coty community, deliberately parking at a distance to observe the situation at Martin's doorstep.

It didn't take long before a Porsche descended from the south hillside and came to a halt in front of Martin's house. The driver honked the horn, and as the driver's window rolled down, it revealed a figure with long hair, seemingly waving at a surveillance camera at the door.

"It's an affair, all right!" Leonardo, with his keen vision, observed clearly through the bright door light. The driver of the Porsche was none other than Elizabeth Olsen. "Martin, that scoundrel, is cheating behind our backs!"

Nicole Sen chimed in, "Let's get inside." He patted Leonardo's shoulder. "Get out of the car and get ready to move."

The two of them exited the vehicle, opened the trunk, and each retrieved an RPG firework. Like phantoms in the dark night, they made their way to the spot they had been eyeing for a while.

Nicholson picked up an RPG and suggested, "Martin's yard is spacious. If we launch from here, even a fool could make the fireworks land in Martin's house."

Leonardo proposed, "Why don't we wait and observe? When it's crucial, we'll ensure that Martin doesn't do anything for 11 seconds!"

"No, the police patrol this community quite frequently," Nicholson, a man of leisure with deep pockets, had done his homework to deal with Martin. "In no more than fifteen minutes, a police patrol car will arrive."

He added with a sly grin, "Leo, how can we, the upright citizens of Los Angeles, let a rogue like Martin steal a lovely girl away from us?"

Leonardo produced a lighter, ignited the RPG fireworks carried by Nicholson, and set off one of his own.

With a burst of white smoke and sparks, and a muffled bang, two brilliant lights pierced the night sky and descended into Martin's yard, creating a cacophony of explosions.

Leonardo suddenly grew animated, shouting hoarsely, "Fire! Fire at Martin!"

Nicholson was finally getting his revenge, imagining Martin with his heart in his throat and his pants wet from fear.

Flash bombs were fired one after the other, creating a commotion in Martin's yard.

Inside the villa's foyer, Martin shielded Elizabeth and took cover behind a stone wall.

Elizabeth turned pale with fright, thinking of the news articles she had read, and exclaimed, "Are the Russians seeking revenge?"

Despite her concern, she felt safe with Martin by her side. "What should we do?"

Martin peered outside the window.

The flash grenades rained down, wreaking havoc on countless flowers and plants. Some exploded near the surface of the swimming pool, splashing water like the splatters of a child's toilet explosion.

In the past few days, he had given his bodyguards a break, and those two troublemakers had caused a commotion.

No wonder everything seemed so normal at the party; they had been planning this!

Water sprayed everywhere, grass clippings took flight, and colorful petals swirled through the air.

On this beautiful evening, Martin received heartfelt blessings from his older and younger brothers.

He pressed the intercom on the side, "Bruce, have you located those two troublemakers?"

In a specially modified window in the annex building, Bruce lowered the AR rifle and replied, "I've spotted them. How should I handle them?"

A sudden explosion rang out, shattering the window glass.

Martin opened the nearby drawer, retrieved a pistol, and told Elizabeth, "Wait here, don't move. I'll take care of this."

Recalling how Martin had come to his aid at the gym, Elizabeth's concern was clear. She urged him, "Please, be careful."

Martin stepped outside, concerned about accidental discharges. He removed the magazine halfway to ensure the weapon was unloaded, and attached a tactical flashlight.

Outside, it was temporarily quiet. Having used RPG fireworks, Martin knew for certain that these two idiots had used them all. He and Bruce rushed outside immediately.

The iron gate swung open, and the tactical flashlight illuminated the area.

Nicholson found the light blinding and noticed a red dot suddenly appearing on Leonardo's forehead.

In that moment, he realized he had been incautious. The man he had fooled around with tonight was a truly ruthless character, the backbone and driving force of their trio of troublemakers.

It wouldn't be fair for him to be beaten by someone from his own group.

Nicholson quickly discarded the RPG fireworks and shouted, "Hold your fire, it's me!"

Leonardo also snapped to attention and shouted, "Martin, it's us!"

Martin, observing the state of his yard strewn with debris, resolved to give these two rascals a good scolding at the very least. He pretended not to hear their pleas and declared, "Lower your weapons, put your hands on your heads, lie on the ground, and show me your hands. I will shoot you if you don't comply."

Without waiting for their response, he reiterated, "I'm going to shoot!"

Leonardo discarded the items in his hands and plopped onto the ground.

Nicholson promptly followed suit.

Martin approached from the other side, issuing commands as he advanced. "Don't move! Keep your hands on your heads! Don't make me shoot! Follow my instructions, and now show me your rear ends! Quick, do as I say!"

He intended to give these two rascals a piece of his mind.
