Chapter 69 Andy: Snape must have attacked Malfoy

It had to be said that Dumbledore was really a master of layouts. He seemed to have done nothing, but he could invisibly make things go in his desired direction.

Even though Quirrell was kicked out of Hogwarts, Harry still knew about the Philosopher's Stone.

Judging from Harry's behaviour, it seemed like he was ready to swear to protect the Philosopher's Stone to the death.

"Alright."

Andy spread his hands and said, "We'll write a letter to Headmaster Dumbledore in a while, telling him that someone is trying to steal the Philosopher's Stone again, so that Headmaster Dumbledore will be more vigilant, and it's best if he can carry the Philosopher's Stone with him."

"Great!"

Harry was thrilled, "If that's the case, Snape won't be able to steal the Philosopher's Stone."

Ron was a bit depressed, "But then we won't be able to uncover Snape's plot."

Good lord, I didn't realize you had such a plan! 

Andy was instantly impressed with Ron.

"You can include your guess in the letter and see if Headmaster Dumbledore would believe it."

Andy didn't want to get involved in Dumbledore's schemes.

Getting involved in the Philosopher's Stone event was trivial. After all, the whole thing would be within Dumbledore's scheme, and with Dumbledore watching over it, the end result would be practically nothing more than a scare.

But stopping Voldemort from getting the Philosopher's Stone is a big deal!

Andy didn't want to offend Voldemort for no reason, it wouldn't do him any good.

Most importantly, Andy didn't want to be manipulated.

It's just a game of chess, I know how to play it too!

Andy decided to use Harry as a pawn and play a game against Dumbledore.

"Come on, let's go to the library."

Back in the library, Andy asked Harry and Ron to write a letter each with the information they knew, their guesses, and ideas on how to deal with it, and then send it to Dumbledore together.

Andy spread the parchment out on the table and dipped his quill into the ink.

And wrote:

Hello Headmaster Dumbledore.

I am a first-year Ravenclaw student, Andy Collins, I believe you remember me?

Today, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley came to me together and told me about the Philosopher's Stone.

They think it was Snape who tried to steal the Philosopher's Stone.

But we all know that the person who really wanted to steal the Philosopher's Stone is supposed to be Quirinus Quirrell.

It's just too unsafe to keep the Philosopher's Stone at Hogwarts, not only the Philosopher's Stone is at risk of being stolen, but even the lives of the young wizards can be threatened at any time.

The attack on Draco Malfoy earlier was an example.

I even blamed myself for that for a few days, not realizing that it was all because of the Philosopher's Stone.

As the Headmaster of Hogwarts, you should be responsible for the safety of all young wizards' lives and return the Philosopher's Stone to its owner, Mr. Nicolas Flamel, for safekeeping.

Or maybe find a place to hide it in a place no one knows about.

I heard from Hermione that Muggles have something called rockets, which you can use to launch the Philosopher's Stone into outer space.

You can also destroy the Philosopher's Stone if Mr. Flamel no longer needs it.

Quirrell is no longer at Hogwarts, and continuing to leave the Philosopher's Stone at the school will only attract the greed of the villains.

In any case, it's really unsafe to leave the Philosopher's Stone at Hogwarts.

In a short letter, Andy first blamed the attack on Malfoy on the Philosopher's Stone - the implication suggesting that Dumbledore is responsible for it.

Immediately afterwards, Andy suggests a couple of ways to deal with the Philosopher's Stone.   

First, return the Philosopher's Stone to Nicolas Flamel.

Second, launch the Philosopher's Stone into outer space using a rocket.

Third, and the original way of dealing with it, destroy the Philosopher's Stone.

Three ways blocking all of Dumbledore's paths.

If Dumbledore insisted on keeping the Philosopher's Stone at Hogwarts, he would be irresponsible toward the safety of all the young wizards' lives.

'The next step is to wait for Dumbledore to make a move!'

Andy put the letter into the envelope, then asked, "Harry, Ron, what do you want Headmaster Dumbledore to do with the Philosopher's Stone?"

Harry happened to finish writing the letter as well, and said with a sniff, "I suggested for Professor Dumbledore to carry it with him, or maybe give it back to Mr. Flamel."

Very well!

Andy nodded with satisfaction and smiled, "That's what I was thinking, if those don't work, there's still a place where no one knows to hide the Philosopher's Stone."

Ron scratched his head, and the speed of his quill visibly quickened by a few points.

Andy continued, "It's just too unsafe to leave the Philosopher's Stone at the school when someone wants to steal."

Harry nodded in agreement.

"Maybe Malfoy was attacked before because someone tried to steal the Philosopher's Stone."

Andy decided to screw Snape over one more time, incidentally, "Don't forget, where was Malfoy attacked? The Potions' classroom is in the underground, so maybe Malfoy saw something."

"As far as I know, many highly skilled wizards can modify other people's memories."

Harry was shocked, "Are you saying that Snape attacked Malfoy?"

Ron's eyes lit up, he seemed to have a flash of brilliance and was writing as if he was a genius.

"It's not impossible!"

Andy's face was serious, "Maybe you and Ron will be the next to be attacked, and maybe me too. After all, we all know about the Philosopher's Stone."

Ron froze in the middle of writing the letter, and after several changes in his face, with some unknown thought, he went back to writing.

Harry was also preoccupied.

He believed Andy's words in a split second that it was Snape who had attacked Malfoy - Malfoy's fainting in the basement was proof as hard as iron.

And now, he, Ron, and Andy could be attacked by Snape at any moment.

Thinking of this, Harry instantly looked at Andy with an apologetic expression, "Andy, sorry for getting you involved."

Andy smiled and said, "It's okay, as long as Headmaster Dumbledore takes the Philosopher's Stone out of Hogwarts."

After Ron had written the letter, the Andy trio went to the Owlery together and mailed the envelope to Dumbledore.

"Well, we can leave the next thing to Headmaster Dumbledore!"

Andy stretched in a good mood.

What will Dumbledore's next move be?

Andy thought.

He had already stated the stakes in his letter and proposed a solution, and had even influenced Harry and Ron in his conversation with Harry.

It didn't matter who attacked Malfoy, what mattered was that Malfoy was attacked because someone wanted to steal the Philosopher's Stone.

And the person who brought the Philosopher's Stone to Hogwarts - was none other than Dumbledore.

This is a crisis of trust!

Once Harry thought about it, he more or less would question Dumbledore's behaviour a little bit, right?
