Chapter 371: Study and Emblem, the Secret of the Pureblood Family

After looking around the fourth floor, Andy quickly found the location of the study.

Pushing open the door of the room, what met his eyes was a leather sofa and coffee table, and next to the sofa, there were several desks and chairs. These furniture styles are old and somewhat battered, but they can be considered high-grade goods when placed more than ten years ago.

Turning his head slightly, he could see rows and rows of bookshelves filled with all sorts of magical books.

The study was not big, and it was extremely small compared to the library of Hogwarts. Andy walked up to a row of bookshelves and swept a glance, pulling out a book he hadn't read and casually flipping through two pages.

It had to be said that Sirius hadn't really bragged.

The Black family's heritage was there.

Since all children in the magical world had to go to magic schools, where not only basic magical knowledge was taught, but the libraries also had a rich collection of books, so families in the magical world didn't really need to collect too many books.

What's more, Hogwarts' library also claimed to have the most complete collection of magic books in the magic world.

Because of this, the books here were all relatively high-end, and many of them were rare and unique masterpieces in the magic world, on which ancient and precious magic knowledge was recorded.

If the teaching at Hogwarts could only be regarded as middle school and high school education, then the books placed here could allow you to complete university or even postgraduate education.

Andy had just taken a cursory glance, most of the books here were related to dark magic, and there were also a few books related to alchemy, potions, transfiguration, and the like.

"Not bad for a family with 'Black' as its name," Andy muttered in a low voice.

But what was surprising was that the Black family did not have a collection of books on magic transfiguration.

Of course, this was quite understandable.

The period when Magic Transfiguration was at its peak was in the early Middle Ages, that is, between the fifth and tenth centuries.

The wizards of that era had done many cruel magic experiments to study magic transfiguration.

The essence of magic transfiguration is to use magic potions and human transfiguration to steal the magic power of magical creatures and nature.

The Black family prided themselves on their nobility and pureblood, and they were certainly unwilling to admit that they had, perhaps, the blood of some magical creatures flowing in their veins.

Andy noticed that on one of the walls of the study, there was also the family coat of arms of the Black family.

The coat of arms as a whole was in the shape of a shield, in black, with two five-pointed stars at the top, the symbol of a mountain in the centre, and a short silver sword set at the bottom.

There was also a phrase in French above the coat of arms that translated to, Always Pure.

Andy raised his eyebrows slightly.

The family coat of arms couldn't be designed without any basis, just like the school crest of Hogwarts, as well as the emblems of the four great houses, all of which had their own representations.

So what did the Black family's coat of arms represent?

'The coat of arms as a whole is in the shape of a shield with the markings of a star, a mountain, and a short sword ... These markings appear to have nothing to do with the history of the Black family.'

So, is it a magic transfiguration?

'Black's ancestors were on top of a mountain and stole the magic of the astrological phenomenon?'

Andy: "..."

Andy thought he might have gone too far in his study of magic transfiguration, now no matter what he saw, he could connect it to magic transfiguration.

But then again.

Andy had previously checked the information of many ancient wizard families together with Hermione to investigate the news of the Deathly Hallows, and the Black family was naturally among them.

The members of the Black family, especially the eldest heir, usually used names related to stars and constellations.

This was clearly a clue.

Together with the Black family's coat of arms ...

Andy had reason to suspect that his guess might be right.

'Forget it! Even if the ancestor of the Black family really stole the magic power of the stars, it is probably lost by now.'

Andy shook his head.

Just by looking at the Black family's collection of books, one could tell that they were not willing to let people know about this history.

Cleaning the dust on the sofa with a cleaning spell, Andy sat on it, picked up a book and flipped through it.

Creak-

Sirius pushed the door in, "Brought some coffee, want some?"

"Thanks!" Andy didn't decline.

Putting down his book, Andy took the coffee and took a sip, "You didn't get caught out this time, did you?"

"Are you talking about the owner of the coffee shop?" Sirius sat down somewhere random and gestured towards Andy with the coffee in his hand.

With the dim light downstairs, Andy didn't pay much attention to Sirius' image. But now when he had a look ... the guy changed his clothes and took a shower, although he was still a bit messy, overall, the external image was at least ten times better than Snape's.

"What are your plans for the next few days?" Andy asked.

"What else?"

Sirius said rather helplessly, "Dumbledore won't let me wander around, at least until we catch that rat, I have to stay home."

Andy thought for a moment, "It's Harry's birthday at the end of the month, you're his godfather, and now that you've escaped, you have to make some kind of gesture, right?"

Sirius spoke excitedly at that, "Of course! Do you have any good suggestions? You guys are classmates, do you know what Harry usually likes?"

Andy was about to say that Harry liked problem-solving questions, but had to swallow that back down when he thought about the fact that there were no problem-solving questions in the wizarding world.

"Harry likes Quidditch, he's a Gryffindor's Seeker right now, and he's pretty good at it." Andy hinted.

"I knew it!"

Sirius exclaimed, "James is such a great Seeker that if it wasn't for the war, he would probably have joined some Quidditch team somewhere now."

Sirius was obviously eager to chat about Harry-related topics, to learn as much as he could about the godson he hadn't seen in twelve years.

For the sake of the coffee, Andy kept him company for a while.

People always claimed that human nature couldn't be put to the test.

But on the contrary, humanity that has been tested is definitely the most rare quality.

Just like Sirius.

He was able to willingly stay in Azkaban and suffer for twelve years just to punish himself. And now, to avenge his friend, he escaped Azkaban alone and faced the pursuit of the entire magic world.

This friendship and 'will' alone is a precious quality rarely seen in the world.

At least, Andy felt that he would never be able to do it.

So Andy admired such a person.

Sipping his coffee, Andy also told Sirius a lot of interesting things about Harry.

Sirius obviously couldn't get enough.

Andy put the empty coffee cup on the coffee table and picked up the book on the side to read by himself.

There was only so much to talk about over a cup of coffee.

"So this is why I hate talking to Ravenclaws," Sirius commented in a rather defeated whisper, soft but just loud enough for Andy to hear.

"You really do sound a lot like Kreacher, the way you are right now. Worthy of being family, even your hobbies are so similar." Andy said lightly.
