Setting the sparks and lighting the fire!

We had all the Horcruxes we knew of, and we had all the tools needed to destroy them. We owned many Goblin Silver Dagger, which we had dipped in potent Basilisk venom for three days. These blades were, then, exposed to strongest acids that magic allowed us to create.

And finally, when we were ready, and knew that Dumbledore was resting in the castle, one of this goblin silver Dagger was to be tested on the Diadem first, as it was the last Horcrux made.

We were standing on the edge of the Hogsmeade village, where there was plain grounds, and nothing more. No disturbance from people, or any other factors. The other end of the grounds were part of Forbidden Forest, and therefore, part of the Hogwarts wards.

Fawkes was standing by my side, as I told him I needed his help.

When we were ready, my mother sent a patronus to Dumbledore. He was told to prepare for a war, and to call his Army for it.

Within a few seconds, Dumbledore apparated to us, with his elder wand drawn, "What are you doing?"

I looked at him and answered. "Get ready, the Dark Lord will come any minute, for the duel. Only, this time he will be mortal when he faces you. I fear, we have to act quickly."

I saw the Wizard who defeated Grindelwald appeared instead of the grandfatherly man I had seen, as his stare bored deep into me, but failed to affect my psyche.

"Very well. But I will need answers."

Now it was the make or break for our situation.

He then sent a patronus, which went to each of his supporters and within a few minutes, the entire Order of Phoenix stood ready and wands drawn.

Seeing them all ready, I saw my father nod at Dumbledore, "Be prepared, he will be like a cornered animal, if he comes today."

Albus nodded without a word, and motioned my father to continue. And the test began!

We saw as the Diadem broke, when the goblin silver Dagger touched it. It became a sharp screeching shade of Voldemort, as it disappeared in black smokes.

With this success in the experiment, we stored the other goblin silver weapons which were similarly soaked in Basilisk venom, and strongest acid, inside my Hammerspace.

After all, it was stupid to have your entire plan depend on a factor, which can become a weak link.

We had prepared a few additional daggers, in case of emergency. A goblin silver sword was hellishly expensive, with ridiculous conditions about its ownership, but daggers were cheaper, and at least all old families had one or two in their possessions, when rituals were common and weapons were allowed at Hogwarts.

Then, my parents began to take out the Horcruxes one by one, as they were destroyed with each ending in a screeching wail from the Dark Lord's shade.

When we were on the third Horcrux, we heard multiple apparitions, as thirty to fifty Dark Wizards and Witches appeared, with the Dark Lord in the centre, and him carrying his Nagini with him.

Now I can be certain, what Dark Lord was doing in his spare time. He should find better hobbies, than killing people and making Horcruxes.

My parents saw the apparitions, and signalled to each other, and apparated with the remaining two boxes in hand.

I made Fawkes flame me to Snape who appeared at the death eater's side and slashed his throat, while emptying my Trigger explosives, with vials upon vials of Nitroglycerin thrown in the mix.

We flamed away, before they could react, (both people and the explosives), and landed to the Light side, as there was a large BOOM! where the concentrated forces of Death Eaters stood.

And with that, the war began in earnest!

My parents had their cloak on, and they landed near me. The Dark Lord looked weak and hurt, but ready to cast powerful spells, as he duelled with Dumbledore, while my parents finished destroying the last two Horcruxes as well. I held my hand out near them, and took the Dagger from their hand. I saw the Horcrux snake lurk towards the Order Members, and spoke in Parseltongue. "Nagini. Come to me!"

She got distracted, and I made Fawkes flame me to her, and slashed her with the Dagger. She blasted into black dust, and I flamed back, after throwing a few grenades at the back ranks of the death eaters.

One cool aspect of speaking to creatures, was being able to coordinate attacks with them. I had the Acromantula send their spiders to feast on the fallen bodies of the Death Eaters. The Death Eaters were now at a significant disadvantage, as they were skirmished and attacked from both sides, by humans and creatures alike, and their powerful wizards who were the strongest among them, had died at my hands.

There were a few giants and other dark creatures like vampires and hags in their ranks, but without a proper planning, Dark Lord was on the losing side.

We watched, as the spiders did a lot more damage than expected, as having large dog-sized spiders land on your face was frightening for any person.

The vampires and hags were fast and strong, but my parents were lethal with their wands as they simply blasted holes in their bodies, cut and carved them up, and their tandem casting was culling the ranks of damage dealers of the opponent's sides.

After the Snake was cut, Voldemort had grown weaker, and with a final cry, disembodied into ashes and dust like he did in cannon. Seeing their Lord and Master die like that, a few tried to apparate, but I had made sure the wards were cast to prevent apparition and Portkey travel. A few of them laid their wands on the ground, and with that, like a domino, the others gave up as well. The reign of Dark Lord had come to an end!
