A dream I don't want to wake up from

It  was morning.

Kresna was lying next to nate while loren slept on the chair next to prince nate's bed.

Prince nate began to say something inaudible in his sleep and he moved a little which made kresna to wake up.

"Loren",nate muttered in his sleep and kresna woke loren up by patting his legs.

He woke up,wiped his face with his hands and looked at kresna,"Do you need anything?".

She pointed at nate,"I heard him call your name".

His eyes littened up and he stood up, carried kresna and dropped her on the chair.Then he sat on the edge of the bed as he held nate's hand," am here",he kissed his hand.

Nate opened his eyes slightly and loren cried as he pulled him to himself while they were on the bed and hugged him.

" Am so sorry...,am so sorry my love.....,am sorry for not being there for you",he kissed nate's cheek.

Loren whimpered," am sorry....,am truly sorry nate".

Nate was speechless and frozen as his eyes widened.

Loren pulled nate away,but he was still close to him and he placed his hand on nate's shoulder while he smiled," let me look at you".

Nate was puzzled seeing loren.

Loren pulled nate close to him and hugged him while he rested his head on nate's shoulder.

He closed his eyes as his tears fell on nate's shoulder," I have been waiting for you to wake up",he said softly.

Nate was still puzzled but tears rolled down his cheeks.

Loren leaned out,smiled,while he cried as he stared at nate,"kresna get him water,he must be thirsty".

She nodded and ran out of the chamber.

While still staring at nate,loren caressed his cheek as he tilted his head,"Am not dead neither are you if that's what is making you confuse",he pressed his lips on nate's lips and pulled away.

"Didnt it feel real to you?",loren asked and leaned in as he tiled his head again.

He placed his lips on nate's lips.This time nate let him in and they ventured in each other mouths with their tongues.The kiss was of longing and comfort.

Nate put his arms around loren's neck as lorens arms were wrapped around his waist.

Nate pulled away but their lips were still close,"so it's not a hallucination or a dream?,it's all so confusing,I remember hearing about your death and I remember taking that pill".

"I'll explain everything to you later",loren placed another kiss and hugged him.

"It's here",kresna stormed inside the room with a half filled cup of water,joyfully.

Loren collected the cup and looked inside ," you ran, didn't you?,the cup is almost empty!".

She began to cry as she walked towards nate," papa",she whimpered as she climbed the bed and rested on nate's lap.

"I was scared,I thought you went to meet my parents",she whimpered as she cried.

Nate ran his hand through her hair,"am back,my little one".

Her cries increased.

She cried until she slept.

Loren looked at her,"how can she sleep?,it wasn't long when she woke up"."when I was your age,I was going through a lot of training in unknown,I hardly slept".

Nate smiled as he glanced at loren.

Loren kissed nate's cheek and leaned in to kiss nate on his lips,then suddenly princess kresna opened her eyes and raised her head.

Loren leaned out within a second and looked away.

"Am not sleeping",she said as she laid her head back on nate's lap.

Loren exhaled as he placed his hand on his chest,"that startled me",he said inaudibly and nate understood.

The three of them walked along the bank of the ocean.princess kresna in the middle of them.

" I don't know where prince keystone and the physician are but they dropped a lot of clothes and two chest of gold",princess kresna said.

" The physician should come back,I really want to know how he removed the poison.I need to learn from him,I catch up fast and my hands are capable",nate said as he looked at loren.

Loren bit his lips as he looked at him," I know you're very capable with those hands".

Nate looked at him from the corner of his eyes," am serious, loren".

Loren smiled at him,"I know you're serious".

"Loren!",nate yelled.

"Is no one paying attention to me?,I have been waiting for the both of you to wake up for the past six months",kresna said.

She continued as she looked down while she walked,"I still remember the night the rebellion took place.It....,still scares me".

Loren held her hand,"you will be safe here" he reassured her.

Kresna looked at the hand that held her and looked at loren,then she looked away.

" Uncle keystone told me how you saved me and papa,we could have been burnt to ashes without you.

Kresna hesitated,"Thank.....you".

NATE POV

Sitting on the grassy hill,I watched loren and kresna argue near the river.I chuckled,they are like two parallel lines.

Weeks have passed.My life with loren felt like a dream.seeing us alive,living far away from the palace,living far away from anyone.it all feels like a dream.I've longed wished for this.

And if this a dream,I never want to wake up.i want to live in this dream.

Loren and kresna walked towards me  and sat at my sides.

"Are you fine",loren said as he put his arm around me and pulled me closer to himself.

I nodded,I am well".

He closed his eyes as he leaned in to my face and nuzzled my nose.

It made me giggle.

I felt his lips close to mine.i loved it when he Is so close to me.I was always reassured  of his love.I wasn't feeling the romance of any romance books sold in the town.It was our romance and it was real.

His lips touched mine and it already sent___

"What are you both doing",I heard kresna asked and we leaned out immediately.

I was embarrassed, I forgot kresna was here. What if she asks me questions later. I don't know how to have the conversation with her.

My face reddened and I glanced at loren. He brushed his hair backward nervously.

"Go and play with the water",loren said as he looked at kresna.

"No!, am staying here and there's nothing you can do about it!",she frowned as she looked at loren and folded her arms across her chest.

Loren scoffed as he stood up and carried kresna on his shoulders, "watch as I throw you into the ocean".

"Unhand me right now,you man!",she yelled as she hits loren's back.

I chuckled,"please drop the child down".

"This is a thorn not a child",he dropped her down.

Kresna frowned as she faced loren,"you're the thorn.if we were in the palace,your head would have been rolling already",she said and ran to the house.

"I told you she is a thorn",loren said.

He stretched his hands towards me,"aren't you hungry?,let's go inside".

I smiled as I took his hand and stood up.
