10_The Third Time was Sweetness in Life

Li Yao went home that day with a very bright and happy feeling. She never thought that she was actually chosen as part of the legal team representatives of Mu Enterprise.

It was a shocking news to her as she never expected that someone would recognize her hard work even though it wasn't long ago that she was just an intern.

It was such an indescribable feeling. She was really happy.

Head Attorney Wang even said that after all of the process of forming an external legal team was done, Mu Enterprise would like to offer exclusive seats to capable lawyers to be part of their own legal permanent team.

Right now, Mu Enterprise was going through reshuffling for the whole department due to the recent take-over. And they wanted to hire outside legal representatives to settle things for them before offering the seats permanently.

Although HL firm was the biggest law firm in the country and being a lawyer here was more than good enough, Li Yao knew that many wanted to become part of Mu Enterprise. Who didn't want to? The company was one of the top 50 in the whole country. Their market price was high and the demand of jobs was really good and promising.

If she could become a member of corporate law office in Mu Enterprise, she would die happy.

Li Yao was humming like she hit the jackpot. She walked to the elevator and pressed for fifth floor. Then she got inside her apartment and tossed her blazer on the sofa. She was feeling so good about representing HL firm for Mu Enterprise that she forgot the current first case she was handling.

"Oh God!" Li Yao immediately went to her bedroom and took a quick shower.

As she dried her hair, she picked up her suitcase and browsed through some files. Li Yao opened her laptop and placed it on her lap as she laid her back on the headboard. Her curly dark brown hair was slightly wet since she didn't use a hair dryer to dry it. She simply used a clean towel.

With the white towel on her head, Li Yao was immediately immersed on the screen. Her bathrobe slid at the side of her shoulder, revealing a very clean cut, small shaped clavicle. Her pose itself was sexy yet serene.

Li Yao didn't know this but many were envious of how pretty she was. She was that kind of woman who could look beautiful without even trying. That was why women who had to depend on makeups came to hate Li Yao and her nonchalant attitude towards beauty. They thought she was simply arrogant since she was already beautiful without makeups.

Monday soon came and it was time for the meeting between Mu Enterprise and HL legal team. Zhu Kang knocked on the door and he received an order to come inside.

"Young master, the meeting will be at Three Times Hotel. Are you done with the files?" Zhu Kang asked Mu Lihai as he eyed the stacking files on the desk.

"Yes, you can take them out. Oh, before I forget, here- take a look at this." Mu Lihai signaled Zhu Kang to come closer and he did.

"There are mistakes on this part and this part. Tell whoever responsible for this to redo the whole report." Mu Lihai told his assistant.

"I want this done after we finish the meeting. You will hand me the new report and I will look at it tonight." Mu Lihai said with a conviction of a president.

"It will be done, young master." Zhu Kang said. Mu Lihai was really ruthless when it came to mistakes. The report that was initially made in weeks needed to be redone in just one night.

"Let's go." Mu Lihai took his thick grey overcoat and draped it over his shoulders. When they were in the car, just five minutes before they arrived, he put on his black leather gloves and strode to the entrance followed by Zhu Kang and a few subordinates.

They were immediately escorted to the private room booked especially for the meeting. And once the door was opened wide, five to six people inside immediately stood up for a bow, one of them was Li Yao.

"Have you waited long? I hope you were not having difficulties while waiting." a strangely sweet voice came through Li Yao's hearing. It was not deep like those male leads she read in novels.

Somehow.. it was refreshing to hear.

But she had a hunch that the voice was familiar.

"No problem at all, President Mu. Thanks for your concern. Please take a seat." the man who answered this President Mu was Head Attorney Han, the head attorney of first division office of HL firm. And also, the nephew of Director Han who was actually the owner of HL firm.

The team that HL firm represented today was formed out of six people. Two from first division office, one from second division office (Li Yao), one from third division office, and the other two from fourth division office.

As Mu Lihai walked over to his seat, everyone from HL firm raised their head after giving a bow. At that time, their eyes met.

Li Yao was shocked speechless that the owner of that voice was the exact same man she rescued from the road!

So that familiar voice was indeed from that time where she caught him mumbling words with himself saying that he didn't want to be near the vehicle.

How come..?

Her eyes scanned the man from head to toe, he looked totally different. With his three piece suit and blue tie, matching together with that long grey overcoat over his shoulders. And the black gloves he wore.

He looked.. regal.

It was very different from the last time she had seen him! He was donning a thick sweater at that time and she even thought of him as innocent! Like a lamb!

Mu Lihai gave the woman a once-over. He remembered her very clearly. Although he was drunk, he had stared at this woman's face and it naturally became imprinted in his head. He could never forget this face. She was actually very attractive the first time he laid his eyes on her.

But he didn't think that they would meet again. Was this fate?

Meanwhile.. inside Li Yao's head, she really was thinking that fate had something to do with this. She had met the guy for the third time already! And they were all coincidental!

Some said that meeting a stanger for the third time was sweetness in life..? What was that saying again? She couldn't remember.

The first time she saw him waiting by the road, she thought of him as a fallen angel. The second time, innocent and cute.. now the third time, mighty and regal. Could he actually have many personalities in that one elegant body?

"Excuse me Head Attorney Han, we would like to lower the air conditioner a bit since President Mu doesn't like it to be too cold." Zhu Kang said and it broke the reverie of the two people.

"Ah yes, go ahead. It's almost winter and the weather is not very favourable nowadays." Head Attorney Han replied to Zhu Kang with a smile.
