14 “Truth is out.”

Vaidehi's face paled seeing the person behind Reesha.

"Daadu(grandpa)." She whispered and gulped a lump in her throat.

Grandpa, her world. The most important person of her life. The one who always supported her. Cover her for her mischievous prank. The one who always stood by her side. Stood near the entrance of the room with a look a shock and disappointment on his face. Shock about the news and disappointment because his favourite grandchild has hidden this big news from him.

"Opps, Grandpa?" Reesha quickly turned around and looked at grandpa innocently.

"Grandpa, did you hear this great news?Oh why am I even asking you this? Obviously you will know. After all you are her favourite person in the whole family." Reesha fake a surprised look and looked at grandpa, who was looking at Vaidehi –now with a blank face.

Reesha turned toward Vaidehi and faked an angry look, "Why didn't you tell me that, you got selected for for LD fashions! That to for there New York branch! Its such a great news! Isn't it grandpa?" She faked a squeal and moved toward Vaidehi aud pull her into a bone crushing hug.

"Good luck." She whispered near Vaidehi's ears and smirk.

Vaidehi , who was numb and shocked was pulled out of her reverie.

She forcefully broke the hug and looked at her grandpa. She felt helpless. Helpless word is an understatement for the kind of emotion she was feeling withing her. This is not how she imagine the news to be out. Not like that. After so much planning and ploting, all went to drain.

But most importantly she felt ashamed of herself for hiding such big thing from her favourite person. Her grandpa.

A lone tear roll down her cheeks.

"Daadu." She whispered and took a step close to him but he raised his hands and gestured her to stop.

Shaking his head, he looked at Vaidehi one last time and walked away.

Vaidehi turn and looked at Reesha.

"GET OUT OF MY ROOM RIGHT NOW!" She said aggressively.

"And what if I don't?What you will do?" Reesha smirked and made herself comfortable on Vaidehi's bed.

"Oh sweetie, you don't want to mess with the queen of hell herself, would you?" Vaidehi said with sarcastic smile.

"Oh please." Reesha rolled her eyes.

"I am not responsible for what's going to happen next. You my dear cousin ,ASKED for it" Vaidehi stood near the bed and looked at Reesha calmly, which made her nervous and squirm.

She has never seen Vaidehi this calm. She gulp and tried to took brave.

"Will you leave or do I have to KICK YOU OUT!?" If looks could kill Reesha would have been burn to ash by now.

"No need to shout I am going anyway. Who wants to stay in your dirt room any way!" Reesha rolled her eyes and tried to smirk but ended up shrieking.

Vaidehi stood near her face with a lizard in her hand,"Don't mess with mend LEAVE!"

Reesha let out a scream and run away.

Vaidehi let out a shuddering breath and slumped on her bed. A lone tear roll down her cheek. Gone was her facade of bravery. She let out a harsh ,shuddering breath and curled herself and sobbed quietly.

Slowly a hand circled around her ,she turn to look but, let out another sob seeing the person.

"Don't cry Vaidu di(sister)" Sanvi hug her tightly and rocked her back and forth.

Never in her nineteen years of life she has seen Vaidehi cry this bad.

Sanvi heart clenched seeing a vulnerable Vaidehi ,who is totally not like the Vaidehi she know. Vaidehi is strong, chirpy and has to quality to handle any situation with ease, but now, when she look at her ,she saw a vulnerable girl who lost something precious.

"Please di(sister)let me what did that chameleon do?Tell me please, you're freaking me out now." Sanvi said and pull Vaidehi and made her sit and made her drink a glass of water.

"Let me go and quickly call Vansh Bhai. (brother)" Sanvi wiped Vaidehi's tears and made a run toward Vansh's room.

Sanvi ran and entered Vansh's room.Vansh ,who was playing game on his phone look at Sanvi, who was looked as if she just deal with a storm.

"Vaidu di(sister) room, now!" She said and run again with a worried looking Vansh in tow.

Entering Vaidehi room , Vansh let out a shuddering breath and quickly ran toward her.

"Vaidu, what happend? Tell us?" Vansh sat near Vaidehi and side hug her, while Sanvi sat to her left and slowly cared Vaidehi head and tried to console her.

"Its all gone bhai.(brother)Dadu(grandpa) hate me now, I know. He hates me now." She let out a sob and hugged her knees.

"What gone? What happened ? And why dadu(grandpa) will hate you?" Vansh heart broke into piece seeing his little sister like that.

"He hates me, I know. He do. I am not his good grandchild anymore. He is dissapointed.He is hurt. Why am I so dumb Vansh bhai(brother)?" She sobbed and looked at Vansh with teary eye.

"But first tell us what happened , di(sister)" Sanvi said and looked at Vansh , who nodded.

"H–He got to know about my job in New York. And what's worst you know? He got to know it from Reesha. He looked so dissapointed and hurt. I–I can–" She could even complete her sentence as she let out a sob again.

"No–Nothing m–matter to me more than my family. And what is th–the use o–of expla–explain myself now?" She hiccuped.

"Vaidehi, put yourself together! You are a brave girl! Why are you thinking like that?" Vansh questioned.

"Bhai(brother) it done. I can't win his trust back."

"Vaidehi I know will never give up. She will fight till for it. Who are you? Where is she?" Vansh looked at her and wiped her tears.

"Go and explain yourself. He is our grandpa. Your the most favourite person in the world! He will defiantly understand." Vansh pulled Vaidehi and made her drink water.

"But–"

"No buts go and tell him, now! And me and Sanu will go and deal with that imposter!" Vansh said and patted her head.

Vaidehi nodded and slowly walked toward grandpa's room and knocked it softly.

"Come in." A voice said.

She opened the door and entered inside and saw that , her grandpa was siting on his favourite chair and looking blankly toward the tv.

Vaidehi with teary eye look at her grandfather. She knew it won't be easy for this old man or anyone. Not even her. But she know she has to do it for herself.

"Grandpa."She gulped and called him softly her voice broke toward the end.
