13 “Sorry but no sorry!”
Sanvi, Vansh and Vaidehi looked at each other in terror.
"They are here." Vansh peek out from the door and said.
Sanvi and Vaidehi gulped nervously.
Their family is a joint family with a whole lot of members. Everyone loves each other and are very close to each other.
But, but ,BUT can say the same about their Rati bua(aunty).
Rati Malhotra, is the third and only girl child of Raghav and Prashanti.
Being pampered through out her childhood, she is kinda.. Okay, okay. She is very particular about everything and always wants things to happen her way. If not, than one should get ready to see the fire breathing dragon.
Rati married Kishore and they both have a daughter named Reesha.
And Reesha Malhotra is everything that Vaidehi despises.
Reesha loves attention, and all in all she is a living example of 'how to be a mean girl'.
Vaidehi and Reesha always had this competitive relation going on. No, they don't hate each other. But, that doesn't mean they love each other as well.
Their relationship is quite complicated.
Anyway, back to the story.
Vaidehi look upwards as if praying to almighty up there.
'Oh my chocolate God, help me deal with that chameleon!' She thought to herself.
Vaidehi, Vansh and Sanvi walked toward the main drawing room.
And near the siting area, Rati bua(aunty) stood with her husband looking and examining everything keenly.
Vaidehi looked around searching for her 'favourite' cousin–Reesha.
"Are you searing for meh?" A voice whispered near Vaidehi's ears.
Vaidehi who was distracted, jumped and almost banged her head against the wall.
"Vaidu, are you okay?" Vansh asked while glaring at Reesha, who smirked and looked at her nails with a bored look.
"Stop being an attention seeker. You didn't even get a scratch." She said with a bored look.
"Yes, yes sure. We will see who dare hurts our Vaidu di by the end of the day." Sanvi said and stood in front of Vaidehi protectively.
"Sanu, we all know who is the attention seeker here. So, let them have the time of the their life. We are good people remember, unlike some." Vaidehi smirked and stood straight.
Reesha stoomped her foot and walked to where her parents where standing and complaining about the colour of there newly painted wall being too white.
Vaidehi giggled and walked towards them and touched their feet in respect.
"Ah my child, you grew up too quickly." She said and pulled her into a bone crushing hug and it crushed her bones quite literally. She winced.
"Hehe, how are you bua(aunty)?" Vaidehi said and tried to break the hug.
"I am very good. Look at you, you grew up and I can see that you turned chubby." She said but frowned while looking at her.
"I will give her some tips, don't worry mamma. After all she is my 'favourite' cousin." Reesha smirked and said with extra sweet smile.
Vaidehi glared at Reesha and force an extra sweet smile on her face and said, "Oh, bua(aunty) you don't worry, I am totally fine and real. Unlike some people , I like to eat real food."
"You guys are here?" Grandma Pranshanti and grandpa Raghav came out from their room and looked at them with a big smile.
Rati and her husband quick touched their feet in respect and smiled at them.
Rati frowned and elbowed her daughter who was looking at everything quite uninterestedly.She eyed her to do the same.
Reesha with an extra sweet smile went near the old couple and touched their feet.
"There you go. Already started her act of goody two shoes." Vansh whispered to Sanvi , who giggled.
"How are you, grandpa and grandma?" She said with a big smile and hug them.
"We are good, my child. How are you? You became so thin, are you not eating well?"Grandma frowned and asked.
"Grandma, don't worry. I am here na. I will make sure that when she leave our house,she won't be as thin as mosquito." Vaidehi back hug her grandma and smirked at Reesha.
"Now why are you guys standing here?Lets go and eat. They are waiting for you all to have lunch together." Grandpa smile and lead them toward dinning room.

After lunch, Vansh and Sanvi sat on their tree house–their secret spot.
"Bhai(brother) I am afraid, that idiot chameleon will do something to hurt Vaidu di(sister)! We can't let that happen." Sanvi frowned and scoped some ice-cream and stuffed it on her face.
"We don't have a plan Sanu. But don't worry we will do something." Vansh said in determination.
"Yes, bhai(brother). We have to go and check on Vaidu di. God know what they are talking with her."
"I was surprised when, bua(aunty) asked Vaidu to have a talk with her. And what suprised me more was here reason! I mean it hard to believe–the reason why she wanted Vaidu to stay was because she missed her." Vansh got up and dusted his pants and nodded at Sanvi to come with him.
"Let's go and check on her.Hope that fire breathing dragon didn't swallowed her alive." Sanvi said and giggled.

In Vaidehi's room.
"You're room need renovation." Rati bua(aunty) said looking around and inspecting it keenly.
"No, bua. I think my room looks fine. May be a bit of changes here and there?"
"Hmm. Don't worry, I will ask Reesha to help you with that." Bua(aunty) said and patted her head.
Vaidehi smiled nervously.
"Now let me go and take my beauty nap. I will see you soon." Bua(aunty)said and walked away.Vaidehi sigh in relieve.
"You're room is nasty , just like you." A voice said and a startled Vaidehi.
She glared and Reesha ,who look around her room as if she has seen something nasty.
"What do you want Reesha!?"
"Revenge, sweetie. You know what you did last time?" she sneered at Vaidehi.
"And who started this? Who said to everyone that I have a crush in your boyfriend and tried to steal him? YOU FREAKING STARTED THIS RUMOR AND MADE MY LIFE MISERABLE! AND WHAT I DID TO YOU WAS NOT EVEN AS HIDEOUS AS WHAT YOU DID TO ME!" Vaidehi said angrily.
"Aren't you little attention seeker that you always were?" Reesha said calmly ,not bothering about a hulk like Vaidehi who was ready to jump on her at any moment.
"YOU–"
"Stay were you are. We din't want your little secret to be out now, do we?" She smirked.
"Wha–What are you talking about?" Vaidehi gulped in nervousness.
"I know that you got selected for LD Fashion. That to for their New York branch." She smile viciously and bought the letter near Vaidehi face and lightly smack her head with it.
"Sorry but no sorry!"
Vaidehi's face paled seeing the person behind Reesha.
