CHAPTER THREE

It had been two weeks since she had met Marcus. HIS staff took great care of her and treated her wound . Although the doctor had orders her not to do too many movements , Amber was bored to death by laying in bed . Everyday Marcus got home to check on her and make sure she was alive . He got her books and gifts . Deep down he felt guilty for trying to use her for exact revenge .

He had ordered his men to find every single information about Amber and her mother . He didn't expect to find out that her mother was shot to death when she was seventeen in the public . Amber had also stayed in prison for five years after her mothers passing . He realized just how much her father's wife hated her to the point of sending assassins to end her life time and time again .

What surprised him the most was that Amber was not interested in revenge at all . She just wanted to live a quiet life . A life that was free from drama and death threats . Today Amber was doing well , she no longed looked pale and was moving around the house on her own . He spotted her in the garden through the window of his study . He felt like she needs to be cared for and he vowed to be her protector.

She don't you think you are getting attached to her , Steve's spoke . Steve was one of his most trustedmen . He knew all of marcus's plans and actions .
