Chapter 5

It's another morning and unlike yesterday,my head is killing me,two voices arguing in my head is not a nice thing to wake up to.

'What now?' I ask the two voices in my head

'She thinks she's better than me' selene complains

'Who is she?' i ask confused

'Lucile of course,she says she's stronger than me'

'Lucile?' i confirmed

'I didn't say that,i just suggested' lucile defends herself

'Listen up guys cause i won't repeat this,we are the same person,there is no lucile,ariel or selene,we are one and if you want us to see another day please cooperate,if i die you die,think about that and while you are on it am getting ready for school,no more headache please'

'Well i have no problem with that' says selene

'Sorry' lucile apologises

'Good,cause we have a very long way to go' i tell them heading to the bathroom.

Today i wanna look extra good,incase my mate is at school i want the first impression to be superb.

I wear a mid thigh red skirt with a red cropped sweater,i curl my hair and let it down,i love my ornaments so i put on few rings,bangles,small diamond earings and finished my look with white nike sneakers,alittle make up and am ready.

'We look hot' selene exclaims

'You meant to say i look hot' i roll my eyes

'You just gave us a speech of us being one a minute ago' this time is selene

'I am glad you took that in consideration,time to go, you guys be good okay?"

'Okay'

'We'll try" selene and lucile say simultaneously

I head downstairs and everyone is already on the dining table having breakfast,today am not as excited like yesterday call it mood swings.

"Morning honey,how are you feeling'' my dad asks worriedly referring to yesterday's incident

"Am okay dad,thanx for asking" i kiss him on the cheek

"You look beautiful sis,you took your time" i know what he's insinuating,that am trying to impress someone.

"She always look good ryan,honey stay with ryan today okay" mother says and i nod.

"Ryan, take care of her for me today okay,just until she adjusts" she tells ryan,actually because i shifted yesterday and i haven't trained yet i can make a mistake and since humans attend the school we don't wanna blow our cover.

"I got her mum,don't worry" ryan says ruffling my hair..

"Seriously dude, keep your hands out of my hair" i swat his hands away

"Let's go" he says pulling me up

"Since am practically your babysitter, i suggest we ride together and what would be a better choice other than your new ride? Oh and am driving" he says snatching my keys

"Seriously ryan, you are so unfair" i complain trying to catch up with him, he has long legs

"What's unfair is letting my little sister drive me,can't you see i love you"

"Whatever" no need arguing with him cause he always gets his way.

The drive to school is silent with me admiring my new car can't beleive its ryan who drives it first.

School comes in view and am overwhelmed with different scents, and noises,ew some scents are so disgusting

"Seriously ryan,how do you manage with the scents"

"You'll get over it sis,stick with me okay"

Yikes! and how am i gonna get over it?

Anna is already waiting and she's standing with a cute guy,i think he's new cause i haven't seen him before,i raise a brow looking at their intertwined fingures.

"Oh ariel,meet jack my mate" she squeals hugging me

"Am happy for you anna when did this happen?

"Today when i arrived,he's new,he comes from our neighbouring pack"

"Does that mean you are leaving me?" I ask pouting

"Never,you are not getting rid of me"

I hope he treats her right,she likes hot guys and she got herself one,she takes my hand leading me to him ryan following closely

"Hey babe,this is my best friend ariel and his brother ryan"

"Hi" i say waving and ryan just nods at him

"Can we go sis" mr grumpy is back

"Wait are you following me everywhere?"

" You heard mum, can't risk anything" i roll my eyes at him facing anna "i will see you later okay?" I don't think she has a problem cause she got company and the way they're already clinging to each other, i don't want to be a third wheel so am stuck with my brother.

He leads me to his friends who are shamelessly checking me out,am used to people checking me out good thing they keep their distance thanks to my brother, wonder if he's gonna attend my classes too

"Keep your eyes off my sister fuckfaces" he grumbles punching them

"Hi, you look beautiful" justin says

"Thanx" i blush slightly, you remember that crush i was talking about right? well let's just say maybe its him...justin and he's not my mate,am disappointed.

"Damn! she's hot dude" the other one i think jack, says and ryan punches him making me chuckle

"Wow! beautiful smile" justin says and ryan grabs my hand leading me away cursing silently,my brother doesn't like when boys hit on me while he fucks anything in skirt,i blame it on his hormones,but it's sickening.

"Ryan you smell that?" I ask when i smell a scent completely different from others,it's smells so nice and alluring and sweet, it's masculine.

"Smell what? Shit don't tell me"

Lucile and selene becomes restless and my heart picks up,

'Something is wrong' selene says

'Yeah i feel it too,it's our mate and something is not right' lucile says at the verge of breaking out

We come along a closed door and the scent becomes strong and it's mixed with a females,and with my sense of hearing i can hear grunts and moans

Fuck

My brother gets the hint of what's happening and it makes him furious

Selene takes over and within a second the door is down and behold it's jace and a girl,a human girl,fucking their brains out.

"Mate" selene and lucile says with so much bitterness and my body starts shaking

Dammnit

Of all the people,he's supposed to be my mate?so disgusting.

Why me?

The man of the hour comes to his senses and he's shocked,the girl looks confused stack naked and that infuriates us even more.

RYAN POV

I was leading my sister to the class cause i was ordered to take care of her,My baby sister is so beautiful and that's why i punch every guy who looks at her,i love her so much more than anything and it's my duty to protect her,the last thing i want is to see her hurt.

Yesterday while shifting i couldn't take how much pain she went through,i felt it in her sreams and i felt so useless i couldn't do anything to help her,she's the only girl that made me cry,even my mum was cying with her.

She's like a delicate beautiful flower and she brings light to our family,every time she smiles you find yourself smiling cause her smile is beautiful and contagious and my dad will do anything to keep that smile.

She's pampered yet she's not a brat,she's beautiful and so humble that it makes her unique,she doesn't even know how much attention she draws.

She never hurts anyone,she's a clean beautiful soul and i see guys checking her out everytime but i don't let anyone near her,i was praying when she finds her mate it would someone who deserves her in every way possible.

When she asked me if i smelled something i knew exactly what to expect but of all the things this is the last thing i expected.

I have dedicated my whole life making sure my baby sister won't get hurt in any way and seeing tears falling from my eyes caused by her supposed mate makes me furious,i don't give a damn if he's the alpha leave alone my friend but no one breaks her heart like that.

Fate is so fucked up for mating a harmless soul with someone like Jace fucking Carter.

I failed her,and seeing her like that on her knees makes my eyes wet.

I wish i could take away her pain.

She deserved better cause she's the most innocent thing i know.

For the first time i failed my baby sister and it hurts seeing her hurt this way.
