51 River is Back

"Olivia there is one more thing you will need to know." Laila said seriously "Never confide in Loreley when it is just the two of you." Olivia looked confused why would Laila tell her this especially in front of Loreley.

"I already told you I am that woman's puppet, I must obey her no matter what I think or feel. The only way I can ever keep a secret is if Laila makes me swear I won't tell and even then it's not a 100%. You are fine for today, I will only tell that 'thing' the bare necessities but other than that please only confide in Laila or 'she' will catch on." Loreley said solemnly. "That's it for now... they'll be back soon."

Olivia nodded at the two girls, she sat back in her lounging chair and tried to process the information that was given. Loreley went to get a giant umbrella for Laila so she could nap and Olivia figured it was about time to crack open her book.

....

Thanks to the twins advice, Olivia decided to change her tactics and used the time in the Canterbury Isles to slowly repair her relationship with her father and create a stronger relationship with her sisters.

So for the rest of the time the sisters interrupted every possible couples thing Agni planned and made it a family excursion instead. By the time they all walked through the door of their home, Agni was the only one who wasn't upset about the trip ending.

"Dad, your not staying late at work tonight are you?" Olivia said with hope. "No why?" Avery asked. Olivia jumped onto his back and gave him a big kiss on the cheek "No reason really... I just got used to seeing you all day for almost two weeks... I am going to miss you that's all." Olivia hugged her father and headed towards the foyer, she stopped a little ways away and turned to face her father.

"Dad be good and remember to pick up my phone calls from now on! I have no idea if you actually listened to my voicemails but I want to hear your voice and not talk to a machine everyday." she said as she blew her father a kiss.

"Messages?" Avery said as he pulled out his cell phone "What in the world is she talking about I haven't gotten a single message or phone call from her in months." he thought to himself.

.....

Olivia stretched out her body as she walked out the doors of Steel enterprises. She looked around the street and happily found Eli, standing to one side, reading a book as he waited for her to come out. "Eli!' she shouted happily, Eli looked up and gave her a warm smile "You ready for your first day back?" he said as he put his book away.

Olivia stepped beside him "Yes are you?" she said as she grinned ear to ear. Eli grabbed hold of her hand "No, my rivals have increased this year." he said seriously but Olivia couldn't help but laugh at him "What rivals you know I'm only yours." Eli's face became void of all his emotions and Olivia laughed even harder.

She planted a kiss on his cheek "Don't worry I won't let anyone come between us." she said happily, Eli looked at her without saying a word. Something was bugging Eli but he refused to say what it was. So all Olivia could do was hold his hand till they got to the school compound.

Olivia's phone started to ring and a weird number displayed on her screen "Hello?" she said cautiously "Olivia it's dad I thought I would call you first today." Olivia was positively delighted "Sweetie this is my new number, something was wrong with my old phone and I wasn't receiving any phone calls or texts." Avery explained.

Olivia's face paled at her father's words "Ok daddy! Well I had a great day today! I worked hard, Eli came to pick me up so we walked to school together. It's really cold out, so stay warm and... oh Eli wants to talk to you, one second!" Olivia passed the phone silently pleading for Eli to take the phone.

"Happy new year sir... yes... of course... no sir I wasn't planning that...." Eli's emotionless face started to glow red "Yes sir... no I haven't pictured that....that's completely obvious sir..." suddenly blood started to trickle down his nose and Eli quickly moved to pinch it. "Thank you sir... I mean father-in-law... no I didn't mean to... I was giving respect.... yes father I promise to protect her with my life... yes s-s... cough...father, goodbye." He hung up the phone and passed it back to Olivia.

"What did he say to make you turn so red?" Olivia asked with sparkling eyes "....nothing." he responded and turned away. Olivia chased his gaze "What did he say?" she asked again, Eli turned his head the other way "Fine if you don't want to tell me I will call and ask him myself" she said as she moved her finger across the screen to unlock it.

"No!" he shouted and placed his hand over her phone screen. "Being so lovey dovey so early in the morning huh... Eli I think you can do so much better then your current girlfriend!" a snarky voice called out. Olivia slowly turned around and saw who shouted towards them. "River?! ...Your back from your leave?!" Olivia shouted back.

"That's right and now I'm better then ever! So be prepared Olivia I will open up Eli's eyes and show him who you really are!" River proclaimed as she pointed her finger at Olivia. A laugh came from behind River "Well that's rich! I'm pretty sure Eli knows who she is and that's his future bride." Autumn said nonchalantly as she walked past River so she could received her new year's hug from Olivia.

Rodan stopped beside River and placed his hand her shoulder. Marek, Blair and Porter started to walk past her as well "Really I think I will be kidnapping the bride for myself." Porter said teasingly. "Shut the f*ck up already Porter, you are no better then a dog chasing his own tail!" Blair yelled at him. "Congratulations buddy!" Marek said as he hugged Eli.

River was confused, she looked at Rodan for an explanation and he just shook his head "You need to let him go, he loves her and there is nothing you can do about it. It's over." he said calmly as he looked at River. "I don't have to do anything but my act on my own wishes!" River shouted as she pushed Rodan's hand off her shoulder.

Rodan sighed and gave River a sympathetic look. "They are getting married after graduation... make peace with it and move on." he said before he walked away and joined his friends.

River's eyes glowed green as she stared at the group of people leaving her behind. "You know we can work together and get what we want." a dark voice whispered into her ear. River stepped to the side to see who was talking to her. "Hello my name is Quinn Delmira and I can help you make your wish come true." he said with a devilish grin.
