Two fools

"Sorry for the earlier inconvenience, Young Miss Lian, Young Miss Tihana, and Young Master Azrael." 

A middle-aged man with a burly stature and frame came to their table and apologized. 

"It's okay, Owner Edward."

This man in front of them is the owner of the Jade Garden Restaurant. And based on his conduct he thinks highly of Lian because instead of apologizing to Julius who had lost his teeth and was humiliated inside their restaurant he chose to approach and apologize to Lian.

"I didn't expect that someone would try to seek trouble from you in this restaurant. Don't worry I will ban him and her sister from coming here."

Lian raised her brows after hearing this. She can still understand if Julius came from another small family but Julius is a member and a young master on top of that of one of the three overlord families in this city. Banning him from coming here is no different from provoking and disrespecting the family behind him.

Thinking about it, Lian opened her mouth and convinced owner Edward, "There's no need to ban him, Owner, I get your sentiments."

"No, no, I ought to do this. I will ban him, don't worry young miss, I declare that from now on Julius and Riana Greenhill will not be allowed from entering this restaurant." Edward rightfully declared.

His declaration shook the entire restaurant, they couldn't believe that he would really ban Julius and Riana, plus, he emphasized the surname Greenhill. This proves that he didn't care about the face of the Greenhill family.

"Then I'll take my leave." He then left the dumbfounded Lian.

After a while, Azrael spoke in amusement. 

"Looks like the Owner values you that much, to even provoke one of the great families here. What did you do? Did you charm him?" He asked teasingly.

"Stop saying nonsense." She couldn't help but glare at him because of embarrassment. 

Azrael chuckled.

To an outsider, this act of theirs was no different from flirting. The young males' eyes dyed red in jealousy but they can't voice their thoughts because of fear of losing teeth.

Azrael and the other two girls ordered and ate peacefully.

Meanwhile, at this very moment, the incident spread and shook many people.

In a grand hall, a dignified man sitting in a seat while looking at two sorry-looking youths. His eyes are fierce as if he wants to devour the youth on his front.

"We beg you father, give justice to what happened to us." The young man begged as he lowered his head. If one would peek into his mouth, one could see that there are some empty slots in his teeth. This young man is Julius and the young woman beside him is Riana.

But the man on the seat only silently looked at them. And the air trembled as if he was very angry at this moment.

The two youths were trembling, and although they were trembling, deep inside them was pure happiness. They thought that their father was angry because of what happened to them. But…

"You two are fools!!!", he angrily shouted.

His palm clenched the armrest of the chair until it exploded into dust.

"Father?" Julius couldn't help but raise his head and look at his father, his eyes full of confusion.

The man, Richard stood up and glared at them.

"You want me to take revenge for you? Do you want to drag the whole family to its destruction because of your pride and foolishness!?"

"What do you mean, father?" Julius has the expression of a confused child.

"Haaahh," he sighed and sat down again as if he was tired.

"Have you seen the phenomenon above the Rose estate?"

"Yes, the one that looks like heaven's judgment."

Richard silently looked at his two children for a good moment before opening his mouth.

"We had a meeting about that, and in the end, we concluded that it might be a result of an expert practicing his technique."

"Father, you mean that there is someone powerful in their family to create that phenomenon just by practicing their technique?"

"Yes, but not as a member of their family. At the very least a guest. And the young man, Azrael in your story might be related to this expert. Do you think it is normal for the Rose family to dispatch all of its powerful experts just to guard some youth? Even the young miss of their family didn't have that powerful guard on a normal day. But now, however, they dispatched not only one but all of the top three powerful guards in their estate. It is because they want to show their sincerity to Azrael and the powerful expert."

Julius and Riana paled after hearing this.

"But why would a powerful expert visit them?"

"Maybe because the Azrael took fancy of Lian's beauty and talent. There is also a rumor that a few days ago an expert from a sect out there visited them just to recruit Lian as their disciple.", he then glared at the two youths before him while emitting powerful pressure, full of authority.

"You better apologize to him and I will let you bring treasures as a gift to him. And next time don't be arrogant because we are one of the most powerful families around this area lest you bring destruction to the whole family. There are many influential and powerful beings out there. I hope this serves as lessons for you two."

And someday, these two will be great figures not only in this area but in the whole cosmos. But that's another story for another time.
