The Revealed Truth

Jules sat up on her bed. It was almost 9 in the morning! She looked out the window. The early morning mist made the windows fog up and people were already outside shopping, eating, and going about their normal days.

She opened her phone and ordered some bagels from her favorite local store. She needed to get to the university in 30 minutes or she would be late to her chemistry class. The excitement of uncovering what the medicine was made out of was slowly fading, and the students were still waiting for the results to show up in the lab. For some reason, Jacob hadn't been responding to any of her classmates texts, which she found to be very unusual.

After finishing a very hearty breakfast which she was grateful arrived early, she quickly drove to the university. Making her way to the lab, she met some of her friends who were also part of the group of students that Jacob asked to do the task.

"Good morning Josh" she said happily, "are you ready for the results?"

"Yes!" Josh said, busily trying to place his books and materials back into his backpack which was worn down with age. "I'm pretty sure its just gonna be what we expected, nothing unusual or anything."

They both sat down next to each other in the classroom, waiting for their professor to come and teach them the lesson.

A few hours went by in a blur, Jules just couldn't keep her thoughts on the class and instead found it straying towards the medicine, and the results that would be coming out in a few minutes.

Finally there was a break, and Jules and Josh both hurried over to look at the results. They already found some of the other students crowded in a group, huddled around a piece of paper. When they finally got their turn to look at it, they saw that most of the ingredients were normal, and expected. However, there was large amounts of cyanide. In fact, so much that it would be lethal to you if you ate even half a pill.

Josh was left speechless and confused, as he never thought that it was going to be this weird. Other students were also looking unusually pale and some were whispering to each other as if they thought that if they talked too loudly they would be arrested.

After school, Jules and the others had a meeting in her apartment. They needed to discuss their next course of action. Some although wanted to get this information publicized, were scared about the consequences of doing so and their safety. Others wanted to contact news sources right away to get all of this information out there.

It was finally decided that they would give the data to news sources under an anonymous name, therefore protecting each member of the group.

The Prime Minister was relieved after the whole Jacob ordeal.

There is nothing that could stop us now, he reassured himself. The plan was coming along nicely and they would be finished purging the population of Canada within 1 month. The next steps in his plan was to make sure that his government had control over the news sources and newspapers. So, he made a mental note to himself to contact major news sites.

Jules found herself having trouble falling asleep. Of course it had been an eventful day and her mind was focused on the reply she was going to get from the newspapers. After lying awake in bed for 3 hours, she finally got a few hours of sleep.

She woke up earlier than her alarm clock, and sat down in front of her computer. Sifting through the replies section, she started reading some of them. One of the local newspaper didn't believe them, another one simply said no. After scrolling down for almost an hour, she found a small newspaper that said they were willing to publish their data.

She quickly called Josh, which took a few minutes because he was still asleep.

"What's happening?", he mumbled sleepily. Jules had the sense that he was still half asleep.

"One newspaper actually accepted our request!" she told him.

"Very nice. Let's make sure to tell everyone else in the group chat".

After hanging up she told everyone in the chat the good news. Then, she ate breakfast, which was cereal -- one of her favorites. At the university, she met up with the others. They all seemed very happy that a newspaper had actually accepted. They all thought there was only a small chance they would.

BREAKING NEWS: Group of students under the name User13053 had conducted a few experiments on the new blood pressure medicine that came out, which was widely praised by many doctors around the world. The study revealed some alarming results: the blood pressure medicine contained a highly toxic substance known as cyanide and was fatal even in small amounts. This will likely be news to many, and brings to light the mysterious spiking death counts on population websites.

"I always knew there was something wrong with the medicine", says Dr. Arnold Smidth, a bestselling author of the book The Government is against us: The ugly truth.

At press time, reporters confirmed that the blood pressure medicine was gaining popularity incredibly fast, with over 120 million already bought. The Prime Minister has refused a request for comment.

They all put down the news article. News of the medicine had spread like wildfire, with major news sites reposting the article and with millions of other people sharing it with their friends. There were commotions and protests on the streets now, and the Prime Minister had became increasingly nervous and agitated.
