Chapter 2

The pretty boy headed to a rundown building in the middle of the city. Rather calling it rundown it's better to say that it was more neglected than anything else.

He jogged up the step only to see a person in front of one of the doors. "Hello, young man. May I ask is Mr. Nian Qu here?" The man asked him

"That's me." Nian Qu tells him.

"Then may I ask do you really accept also any task if the money is right."

"Depends on my mood if I'm willing to accept or not."

"That wasn't what I heard."

"So, what does it matter to me that someone gave you the wrong info."

The man sighed, "Are you willing to take the assignment?"

"I already told you it depends if I'm willing to accept or not. So, what is the assignment anyway?"

"I need you to protect a girl." The man asked Nian Qu as he handed a file to him.

Nian Qu took a look inside, "Mo Tang, as in the Mo family."

"Yes, and she is my only child and I'm afraid that she is being bullied in school." Mr. Mo replied Nian Qu.

"Hold it for a second I haven't finished looking through this info and I have some questions about this assignment." Sounds of pages being flip through as Nian Qu quickly reads the information. "Okay, here's a thought but why a bodyguard and why didn't you talk to the school instead?

Mr. Mo looked flustered, "I would if she had told me but she didn't. I only found out because of some harassment notes I found in her bag and what was write disturbed and horrified me. If I confront her with this, she'll be angry and hide away in her room."

Nian Qu stared at him in wonder, "Then why not hire an actual bodyguard at the school."

"I'm unable to because she gets agitated by them. She hates it when someone follows her around. I thought if I have someone her age who can protect her while she is attending school, she wouldn't suspect anything."

"So, in essences, I'm a babysitter for your daughter whenever she does anything. I don't think so sir, I usually have other jobs that I take on and I don't think I can watch your daughter around the clock."

Surprised Mr. Mo begs him, "Please, I heard you are the best that there is and besides that you are the only one I found that can infiltrate the school with no problems. I can pay you lots of money and there will be added benefits. I only have this one child from my beloved wife. I can give you this much per week." He wrote down an amount and showed it to him.

Nian Qu gave a low whistled and paused, "I'm still not sure as I mentioned before I have other assignments and I can't just watch her all the time."

Mr. Mo interrupted him, "That's okay I just need you to protect her while in school. The amount I wrote down is the same per week. I will pay extra for added days not in school."

"Hmmm." Nian Qu looked down at the files again, "All this for your daughter?"

There was a bit of sadness in Mr. Mo's eyes, "I wasn't a good father when my wife died. I ignored my daughter maybe a good three years before I realize that she was all the family I had left. I tried to make it up to her, but it seems that it may be too late for her to trust me again."

Looking at his expression Nian Qu sighed, "Ok, I'll take on this job, but sometimes some of the jobs I have may cause me to go away even on a school day. Are you alright with that?"

Mr. Mo hesitated, "Can you prioritize this job for a few months?"

"That I can do but it depends on the other jobs I receive."

"Aright, I agree with that. So, do we have a deal?"

"Yes, so which school is she attending?"
