Who is Valerie?

It's been a week since Simon practiced himself and made himself stronger than before which made Hero to be proud of him. Simon was able to collect two bags of blue gems, not bad for beginners.

"It is just a week but I learned to shoot multiple times in just a second. I can shoot twenty times in a row within ten seconds!" Simon exclaimed as he hugged his rifle tightly.

Hero taps his shoulder and gives him one red gem. "Take this and let Reyana forge you a dagger with this." Peitho and Albino heard their conversation causing them to immediately get out of their workplace and take the red gem from Hero's hand.

"Let us forge you a weapon, Simon!" The two speak at the same time making Hero and Simon look at them confusedly while they are dashing away from them. Simon points to where they were working before speaking.

"Can we trust those two?" Hero just smiled at him and tapped his shoulder.

"Follow me, I will teach you the basics. We will practice outside, don't worry I already cleared the area so there are no monsters lurking around. If there is, I will be able to sense them even if they are kilometers away from us." Simon looked and followed where Hero was heading too. He smiled as he finally was taught by Hero his secret which is why he could sense that he was stronger than before in their first meeting.

"Hey Hero, do the smokevine monsters you are talking about won't head here in the city? You know, they no longer found any person in the university. I am saying that they might head here to find prey because of hunger," Simon speaks as he walks and follows Hero.

"Actually, I already investigated their nest a few days ago and saw smokevine monsters sleeping there. If I am not mistaken, they are all women who are about to give birth to baby smokevine monsters." Simon stops causing Hero to stop as well and turn to face him. "Female smokevine will give birth a week from now. The ones who were finding prey or food to eat were all their mates. For the female smokevine to give birth to a healthy baby, they need to give them five to ten people. They chewed and tore the person apart first using their mouth before giving it to their mates."

"So, what are we gonna do then? We need to escape as soon as possible. Did you say that smokevine monsters are dangerous because of their quick responses? It will be difficult for us to beat them."

Hero's face became serious, staring at Simon causing the guy to swallow his saliva in nervousness. "Smokevine Monsters are all just blue gem monsters, Simon. If we can't beat them, how can we beat other monsters with high-ranking gems? Have faith in your abilities, Simon."

"Are you trying to say that you're gonna kill the last one of them? All monsters in this city? You gonna kill all of them?" Hero gave him a smirk after hearing it.

"We will do it gradually. As for now, we can't as there is a strong monster sleeping in this City waiting for her moment to come. For her moment to make this as her base. Lastly, the chaosmutant. There are tons of chaosmutant living in this city, they can't be killed just like that as they can call for help from other monsters and control them to kill us. There are still many things we need to work on and plan." Simon cannot believe the information that Hero gave him.

He didn't think monsters are really hard to beat. Meaning, that if Hero's ability still isn't enough to kill all monsters in this City, how could he be able to kill monsters too if he can't even reach even half of Hero's power? "Alright, teach me, Master. I wasn't to be strong as you." Hero lets out a sigh and taps Simon's shoulder again.

"You will become the best shooter in the world, Simon." Even in the past, Simon was called a monster shooter because of how good he was at using different kinds of firearms. Even a tiny organism using Simon's clear vision will be able to see clearly.

"Stop giving me such cringe words, Hero." Simon walks first with his ears turning red like a tomato causing Hero to laugh looking at his friend.

As Hero walks to their practice area, Hero already thinks of a plan to fight against smokevine monsters. He is hoping that those monsters will only bear a child if his swords are ready to use because if not, it will be difficult for them. Smokevine baby monsters are much quicker than the adults. In just a blink of an eye, they were able to behead you and eat your flesh. Not just that, male smokevine will also become stronger once their children are out of their mother's belly as they have something they could protect.

"I need to kill the female smokevine monsters before they can bear children," he said and stopped when they had finally reached a wide place to practice their combat skills.

Damian was walking in a tight and dark hallway, following the red light at the edge of the hallways he was walking. One monster with a sheep skull on his head, looking like a demon causing his body to tremble in fear. Damian doesn't want to visit Valerie's hideout as he is afraid of her dark aura, especially her right-hand man.

"Duchess Valerie, we are here." The human-like monster kneeled and bowed his head when they were finally in front of Valerie. Valerie is a woman monster with raven hair however, she was sleeping to regain her energy to rule the City. The thing that looked like a muscle was supporting her and giving her energy that came from human blood. Her eyes were closed however, she could talk with anyone in their minds.

"What happened, Damian?" Damian was even more trembling after hearing Valerie's voice and immediately bowed down even more asking for forgiveness for what he had done. "The blood of a human, I need it. Where is the human farm I wanted, Damian?"

The human form that Valerie was talking about was the building where Vanessa and her minions were staying. In short, Vanessa and the others there were supposed to be Valerie's food however, due to Hero, Simon, and Peitho, Damian wasn't able to complete his mission.

"Forgive me, my eminence. There is this one man who ruined the plan! I just want him to be part of the team but—" Damian wasn't able to complete his sentence when suddenly Valerie ordered the monster beside Damian to kill him.

"Find another worthy human to complete the mission, George. I need it for future purposes. Make sure that it will be complete this time, do you understand me?"

George bowed his and spoke. "Yes, your eminence."
