The Hunting Begins!

Hero has been killing monsters at full speed and collecting gems for hours. He has already cleared the area through which they have passed. Hero carried two bags of gems, while Peitho only carried one. "I have collected 8 red gems," he muttered as he walked down the highway, holding two bags of gems.

Peitho was trembling as he saw the human bodies scattered on the ground and blood splattered across the building and store walls. She had not expected to see such things, and the aura and ambiance of the city where they lived terrified her. For the past hours, they have been walking, and they haven't seen a single human being, only monsters and dead bodies.

"What are you doing with these gems?" Peitho asks him making Hero to look at his sister.

"You'll see," he just replied making Peitho pouts. She wanted to know more about the things that was happening to their world and wanted to asks things to her brother since she thought that her brother might knew things.

Both of them came to a halt when they heard gunshots in the vicinity. They dashed to the location where they heard the gunshots and discovered eight people killing two black and tall monsters without faces. There were three human skulls on top of its body, each with two sharp hands and legs. It is unable to see or hear, but it can detect the color of the auras of those around him. Humans have a green aura, which to them, it indicates that they are the enemy.

"A Chaosmutant," Hero muttered making Peitho looked at him with her eyebrows raises. "They can't kill it with a gun even any kind of weapons if it is not forged by three red gems. That red gem monster is different than the red gem monsters I've killed earlier. Their lives will be in danger," he stated and put the two bag of gems.

"W-what? We can help them, right?" Peitho asks, still staring at the eight people who continue to shoot the two chaosmutants. Even when they try to hit it from every angle of the monster's body, they are unable to stop the movement of the monster's feet. The monsters keep walking, and when they scream and make a creaking sound, the two chaosmutants dash towards them and strike them with their two sharp hands. Three people died after the monster sliced their bodies in half. People were screaming and shouting as they ran, while others continued to shoot the monster with caliber 45 bullets.

"Fvck, run!" one man yelled and run for his life however, one chaosmutant were able to stomp his back deeper leaving a big hole from his body making him vomits blood. His eyes widens in surprise. In just a second, he died. There are only 4 people left hiding and running.

"Sh.t," Hero cursed and quickly took something from his bag. A smoke grenade. "Find a place we can hide, don't forget to carry the gems. I will help them," he added as he dash towards the four people left.

"What the fvck brother!? How could I carry all these things??" Peitho asks still trying to find a hideout and when she finally did, she took the two bags of gems first along with the bag from her back. "Hey! Here, I found a hideout for yah!" She shouted running towards the store and dropped the bags of gems. She waves her hands until the woman who keeps on running saw her and quickly run towards her direction as fast as she could.

Hero throw away the smoke grenade releasing dark and heavy smoke leaving the monsters stops from running and looking around trying to find their prey. Because of the dark and heavy smoke, they won't be able to sense the human's aura. The two chaosmutants screamed and ran around the area looking for them; one man was nearly killed, but Hero was able to grab him and throw him into the store where Peitho was. Hero's clear vision allowed him to see the other two and grab their shirt while running towards the store.

All of them were gasping for air as they look in front of them. The smoke is still dark and heavy making the monster keeps on screaming and creaking but still haven't seeing their auras. Hero was about to close the door when Peitho speaks. "Brother, I left one bag of gems outside. I can't carry it all so I had to leave the one bag." Hero immediately dash away from the room after hearing it, looking around to find the bag. He did found it however, that the smoke began to disappear gradually, making him nervous.

He grabbed the bag and ran as fast as he could. He was nearly hit by the chaosmutant's sharp hands as it twirled his body in an attempt to touch one human, but he managed to avoid it. He had finally entered the store and gently dropped the bag of gems, turning around to look behind him. The smoke became thinner and thinner, prompting him to look around for something they could use to escape the chaosmutant.

Fortunately, Hero saw a dead chaosmutant at the corner of the store which made him run towards it. He kneeled on the ground and take his dagger from his hips cutting its skin to take some blood inside of the monster's body. "Come here!" he yelled. .

The people behind him puke because of what they had seen, covering their nose because of the stinky smell from the monster's body. "What are we gonna do it from that monster's body?" a woman asks kneeling on the ground as well beside Hero. Hero immediately take blood from the monster and cover it to his body.

"Take some blood and cover it to your body, this will make the monster unable to recognize you that you are a human. This will help us escape from them, we cannot defeat those monsters," he said and assisting Peitho covering her body with the monster's blood. .

The others immediately followed Hero's orders, covering their bodies with the monster's blood. Every part of their bodies is now covered in the monster's blood, which gives them some relief. The smoke has now vanished completely making them decided to get outside of the store. When Hero began to walk and carry the bag of gems, the other two were afraid to take a step, but when they saw the woman, their ally, following them, they simply trusted the siblings and walk behind them.

Peitho took some food displayed at the display corner and putting it inside of the plastic bag. Hero just glared at her when her brother notice her she is not with him. Peitho just gave him a smile and ran towards her brother.

With confidence, Hero open the door and saw two chaosmutants looking around. "Stay there, let me check first," he said and take a step forward leaving them behind, still hiding at the store.

"Is he your brother, kid?" the woman asks Peitho still looking at Hero walking closer to the monster. She nod her head as a repsonse.

The woman had a bob haircut and wore military pants and a white sando. She crossed her arms and observed Hero's actions towards the monsters, noting that the way Hero walked closer was as if he had seen monsters like them before, which she couldn't believe, especially given his knowledge of the monsters.

As Hero approached, the monsters sensed his presence and ran towards him, screaming, but Hero simply stood there waiting for the monsters to get closer. The three men, the woman, and his sister were worried about him, so they closed their eyes and Peitho covered her face, but to their surprise, the monsters simply continued to observe Hero's body. After a while, the monsters began to walk away, leaving him smiling. He turned away and looked at them, giving them a thumbs up indicating that everything is fine now. The woman just smiled at Hero.

On the other side, one man sat on the rooftop, watching Hero stand below him. He was staring at him fiercely and decided to stand up, running away from them. Little did he know, Hero notice him making him turn around to look at him making him curious about him.
