Sleep and the forgotten promised date

Sophie was sleeping without a care for the world and did not wake up for one whole day. The next day, when she woke up, she saw all her friends gathered around her, and almost everyone sporting dark circles under their eyes.

"Hey guys, what happened to you lot?"

"You are asking us?", they gave her a look as if she was the main culprit responsible for their misery.

"Can you tell me what exactly happened?"

At the same time, Ruby came to her room yawning.

"You got up so early? I thought you are going to sleep for a few more days."

"Huh? What are you all talking about?", she was still confused.

"Nothing more than the fact that you slept for 30 hours! Goddamn 30 hours. Are you a human or a camel? How could you sleep for such long periods without food or water? How do you survive, man?", Ruby asked all the questions in one breath.

Sophie still looked dazed. Ruby was going to say something else, but William put a finger on his lips and silently indicated her to keep quiet. She went silent.

"Water.", Sophie croaked.

C brought water to her lips. She took it from his hands and sipped on it. She was parched. She drank the whole glass of water in a few gulps. They brought a few more glasses of water to quench her thirst.

After a while, she managed to get out of the bed but was feeling dizzy and was going to faint when Natalie caught her.

"This girl surely knows how to make us worry about her!", Natalie said while shaking her head.

They put her on the bed and went to prepare breakfast for her.

Natalie and Giselle went to prepare breakfast. William switched the TV on, and all of them sat down to watch the TV. After preparing the breakfast, they called Sophie, who got up from the bed and sat down to have her breakfast. As she was a bit ill, everyone took care of her. Ruby was amazed to see their tacit understanding regarding matters related to Sophie.

They had their breakfast in silence. After breakfast, Sophie went to her room to fetch her laptop. She brought it to the living room and sat down. She slowly opened her laptop and showed a photo of a bearded man to C and asked, "Can you recognize this person?"

"This is the waiter who served me in the evening the day before yesterday."

"Absolutely. Now, watch carefully."

She placed the photo onto the software and then waited about five minutes. After five minutes, they saw that the face of the waiter changed into that of Daniel. They were dumbfounded. Only Ruby and C looked unfazed. Ruby knew about this as Sophie told her earlier. As for C, he somewhat guessed it.

"Now, what do we do?"

"We wait.". This time, it was Ruby who answered.

"Are you sure that waiting is wise?"

"I trust Sophie.", Ruby said confidently.

"What could be the worst outcome?"

"Our identities getting revealed.", Ben answered.

"We can't risk it.", Natalie said.

"It will be a huge risk considering the fact that he can see you anytime.", William said.

"What else can we do?", Giselle asked.

"We need a solid plan in order to defeat him.", Elliot said.

"But what is his purpose of coming here and working in Scarlett? That's the part I'm more worried about.", C said worry evident on his face.

"Hey guys, C and Ruby wants to spend some alone time. Also, we didn't have fun for a long time. Let's head out.", Sophie quickly diverted the topic and said.

"You slept for so long that we almost forgot the date and the fact that we were supposed to hang out, chill and have some fun. Let's make a move then.", Natalie chimed with her.
