No idea

She felt her breaths coming faster and faster, each inhale more difficult than the last. She tried to slow down, but the fear was too overwhelming, and her chest felt tight, like a vise squeezing her lungs.

Gasping for air, her body trembled with desperate breaths. She knew she had to calm down, but the panic was consuming her.

It was much more than the panic, actually. It was some sort of supernatural control and manipulation, one she was sure might bring her existence to an end if it lasted a couple seconds more.

"Please leave me alone, I b..eg you…" Wanda spatted.

"Somebody help me…." She managed to cry. Her heart was pounding with fear, such that she grew weak.

"Whoever you…a..re, just let me go…I know nothing." Wanda pleaded for the nth time, even as she could not see the 'person' whose identity was blanketed by the dark.

She would have heard his rugged breaths, which would have very much disgusted her, but her stressed and exaggerated inhale and exhale seemed sort of deafening to her.

Her ribs were almost about to crack, but that was just another thing to worry about. She had to make it out alive first, before worrying about a cracked rib. She felt hurt, nonetheless.

But It seemed as though that was the aim of the torture, since the person ceased whatever he was doing, a few seconds later.

It caused Wanda to fall to the ground, causing her to realise she had been suspended in the air all the while.

Immediately her back hit the rough ground, she felt like it melted into a soft, memory foam kind of surface.

Out of shock, she jolted awake, her heart pounding in her chest still. For a moment, she lay there in the darkness, disoriented and gasping for breath.

As her eyes adjusted to the dim light, she realised that she was safe in her own bed. Still, her body trembled with the aftershocks of fear, and she could feel the cold sweat on her skin. She took a deep breath and tried to calm down.

'Oh my God!' she gasped in a low voice wincing as she pressed a hand to her aching ribs. Her whole body was still trembling with fear as she curled up into a ball, hugging her knees to her chest.

But the images lingered in her mind, haunting her with their vividness and intensity. She knew it would be a long time before she could drift off to sleep again.

'What was that about?' Wanda muttered to herself, as she closed her eyes in an attempt to recall all that had previously happened.

But she couldn't. She could recall nothing.

Heck she couldn't even remember when or how she laid down and slept! Or hours before that.

Despite feeling an aching pain in the exact spots she had in her nightmare, the beautiful teenager was clueless as to how, when, or why it had occurred.

Speaking of cluelessness, another clueless person named Ava, had just stepped into the apartment Keys said was hers.

Ava walked into the apartment without needing a 'key', only to find a bunch of it lying on a shelf, since her gaze flickered towards that direction, immediately she walked in. So she shut the door behind her, and then started inspecting the entire house - starting from the living room of course.

The living room was warm and cosy.

It was accentuated with a warm colour tone. It was just right for someone to return to it, after a stressful day at work.

The room was grounded with a large area rug and Incorporated with a deep sinking-into comfy sofa and two armchairs each with throws and toss pillows arranged in a circular pattern which did not exceed 7 Feet in diameter, perfect for a good sitting connection.

A beautiful modern milk colored curtain. A dormant fireplace, a mini glass centre table, reading corner, pendants, spot lights, recessed lighting, all contributed in creating the cosy ambiance.

Wall and floor lamps were also present in the living room to create an alternative lighting for a perfect warm cosy evening.

A soft layered rug was placed perfectly on the floor, perfect for the feet to sink in after a long day. A few paintings also hung on the wall, further complementing the natural shades of textiles in the living room.

''Wow." Ava whispered in admiration.

"Take me out of your pocket, Siren." Keys blurted, startling Ava.

Taking the phone out, Ava held it up, "Can't you speak politely for once?!"

"Pardon me, your highness. But this isn't Lantern. You're supposed to hate it" Keys stated.

"No. It's you I'm supposed to hate." Ava replied.

"What's stopping you?"

"Selfish interests." Ava answered with a smirk on her face.

"Don't lie to yourself." Keys replied.

"I'm not. I'm simply being honest with you. If it weren't for some little advantages, you would've been in a trash bin." Ava stated, emphasizing everyword.

"Oh then I better be_"

"By all means. Disappear! And never come back." Ava exclaimed looking at the phone, like she was looking at Keys.

"I was not about to say that. I'm not a fool." Keys replied.

"Then what were you going to say?" Ava asked.

"Stay tuned to find out."

"Indeed." Ava said with a scoff laugh before tossing the phone on the sofa.

Sighing before brushing her hair backwards, she then began to inspect the room for any lead, or trace or something - anything at all. Anything that could help her place a finger on everything. She had a thousand questions, and she needed answers to them.

She inspected the paintings, the wall behind them, under the chairs, browsed inside a mini flower vase, and even went as far as searching the dormant fireplace.

But nothing caught her interest, except for a small portrait of her, when she was plus size, years ago.

"What is…how did.. Why is a portrait of my picture here? What is it doing here?" Ava asked no one in particular.

"It's your house. You shouldn't be, surprised" Keys answered.

"I wasn't talking to you." Ava replied curtly.

Sighing in exasperation, Ava held the frame up to inspect it carefully when cracked.

"Oh my!" She shouted before she threw it on the floor. Along with the frame, was the flower vase which broke into pieces.

"Ah" Ava winced as she felt something prick her skin. Rubbing her shoulders because of the pain, Ava observed her hand wes wet. Glancing at it properly, she observed it was her blood.

"What is this? Why am I bleeding? Oh my God! Somebody help me." She shouted, as blood began to gushed out.

"Keys…Keys what.. What is happening to me..?" Ava asked weakly, before her body stopped moving.

The poor lady lost consciousness afterwards, and fell on the pieces of broken glass, while it rained heavily outside.
